So the flying robot chasing sonic is Eggman's creations, "Furnace" to catch sonic. But in this mod this isn't the normal Eggman, it's Starved Eggman. A little backstory to behind Starved Eggman. (according to the details I've heard) When Eggman was defeated by Sonic, Eggman's egg carrier lost control and crashed. The carrier exploded in the result of the crash and Eggman had some animals he captured in the carrier which of course the animals didn't survive. But one little pig survived so he brought it back to base but when he got back to his base, he picked up the pig and took a bite out of it (still don't know why he did it). He found the taste to be yummy and soon enough it became like an addiction, he was craving for more and so he created Furnace to go and capture animals for Eggman to satisfy his hunger. The gray sonic is called "Furnace" and he was designed to help starved eggman catch Sonic so Eggman could eat Sonic. in "Fight or Flight", Tails is actually missing a tail.
The Eggman fella with a red face is called "Starved Eggman", which is an AU of Sonic The Hedgehog, where after defeating Eggman in Scrap Brain Zone, Eggman cleaned up his base, suddenly he found the charred remains of a Flicky(bird from Sonic). The aroma enticed him, he took a bite on it, and Eggman developed an addiction to eat every single animal on Earth, including Mobians. He no longer wanted the Chaos Emeralds nor wanted to build his Eggman Empire. He programmed his robots to capture Mobians, to cook them later on. Then, the events of Sonic CD took place, where Eggman looks for the 7 Time Stones to control time at will. Starved Eggman looks like that because due to his unhealthy diet, he developed alopecia which is why he lacks a moustache and smells rotten. The robot that was fighting Sonic was Furnace. He's an AU for Metal Sonic, he's not only as fast as Sonic, but as strong as Sonic. As his name suggests, he's a living furnace made to cook anyone instantly. His first victim was Amy Rose. After Starved got his hands on Sonic, he used the Time Stones to preserve his body, so that he could eat him on special occasions. Tails, who was missing one tail due to a previous encounter with Starved, met Eggman to face him alone.
Its sad that its cancelled but maybe in the future they will pull a Witty mod and revive and complete the mod

They are not working on it anymore due to (from what I heard of) alot of leaks and drama in the team itself accompanied with stress and not being able to get to their deadline
