Hi Vithya.. it was a very good video and very glad you are doing this .. can you also tell how to choose a concealer based on skin colour.. should it be the same shade of the skin or shades lighter or darker ..

In regards to concealer it depends what look you are going for. If you just want coverage, then use a similar shade to your skin tone. If you are using a colour corrector, you need a yellow based concealer that is at least 2 shades lighter than your skin tone. If you are not using a colour corrector but want a brighter look, go for a pink toned concealer only one shade lighter than your skin tone
Great question I was thinking the same, I have the biggest problem in getting the right colour for sales people or makeup artist to recommend.they always give me dark shades

I have a problem... hope you can help me out. I was matched to NC 42 and got the pro longwear concealer in NC 42 as well to hide my really dark undereye circles. But whenever I use that concealer my undereyes look really ashy and grey. So am I using the wrong shade (should I go lighter) or should I try an NW concealer? What do you suggest? Thanks in advance!

Hi Vithya! Love your videos on Back to Basics. I use MAC concealer and foundation but always feel the sales girls give me darker shades and end up with skin tone 2 shades darker than my original skin colour once I am done with my base. I am in Australia so I think they like it a bit more tan. What would your advice be? Should I just pick my own colours?

Heyy Vidhya Akka! You are an amazing make up artist who has a lot of talent. I am currently 16 and I have not tried on make up fully on /properly and even if I was to try I have a lot of milk spots on my top eyelids and below my eyes. Thanks for the video vithya !! Just to confirm if I understood correctly: I use a Nc35 studio fix foundation. I tend to get acne which leave scars, little bit of pigmentation in the corners of my lips but i don't have heavy dark circles. If I don't want to necessarily highlight my dark circle and just want them to be concealed along with the scars, I can use pro longwear concealer in NW. Is that right? Does the NW35 prolongwear concealer have same color as foundation Nc35?

Hi Vithya, Great video! I’m gonna love this series 🤩 I have a question: I’m a NC42 skin tone. I have slight pigmentation around my mouth. I usually use an orange corrector, top it up with a concealer and then a powder foundation. For eyes, I understand that I should use a lighter concealer to brighten up my face. But for my upper lips, Should I use a concealer with yellow undertone in my shade or a shade lighter over the orange corrector?
Use corrector around the upper lip too and you can use your standard concealer and then powder. But if you want a more flawless look, maybe switch to a liquid foundation instead of using concealer on the colour corrector around the mouth?
Under the eyes I would go a shade lighter

Maneera de Mel sure hun, but this video was more about the techniques rather than the actual product. I am personally not a big fan of LA girl. Hence why I only use or recommend products I use myself and on my clients. When I partner up with brands I will defo try more products.

Nisha V. Yes NC is yellow and NW is pink. But other brands have different descriptions

Yay! So excited that this series is here! I love how your tutorials are so simple and logical! Quick question that's hopefully not dumb - Do you have any tips on preventing/minimising creasing? I'm using the Studio Finish - I have tried brush and beauty blender and I always powder over but the product still settles into my lines. Thank you so much! ❤️
tzphyr thank you. The problem with studio finish concealer is that it is oil based so it will never set, and I don’t find that powder helps either. Maybe try bobbi brown instant full cover? They work for me

Hi mam love your video and dedication and really appreciate your effort to make these videos. I go through all the videos and there is one thing that bothers me which how do i select or know what shade foundation or concelear to use . What is the best way to know which shade of products suits me . Please do reply coz of what i under if i do not get the base right its better not to proceed further . I always go wrong with the shade .
I think it is best to pop into the nearest makeup store and get it tried on, as picture and video is hard to base it on

Hi vithya Tomford concealing pens are with either numbers or names. I cann't find medium deep. i checked selfridges online.
