One time I found a 150 thyla, but I wasn’t prepared at all so I had to rush making fabricator and industrial cooker to cook the prime meat, but by the time I went to where I found it, it had despawned
The non-story maps always have better levels but yeah it does feel like it's either level 20+25 or 140 and better 😂 went to pick up a beaver a few days ago, turned out to be 140, and as I try to pick it up two 150 rexes also pop up on the pond
@@drake713 Yeah The Center levels are crazy! I had a very similar situation. Got myself a 140 beaver and when I returned to farm the beaver dams 3 Rexes were there. Levels: 25, 140, 150.

You should hunt Axe in the forest with the Xiphactinus. Just imagine, Axe running through the trees & bushes, then suddenly a Xiphactinus comes flying out of a bush to get him.
Garuga has said he specifically requested that the variants don't make it into the base game so that people still have actual reason to install/ use his mods
Syntac, if you’re wondering xiphactinus are just as OP in ASA as they were in ASE. Especially if you imprint them. I just took on a lvl 55 alpha mosa with my pack of extremely leveled pack of 5 xiphactinus and that alpha lasted 10 seconds (yes I did time this)
there’s a mod called “floating ceiling’s” witch allows you to place ceiling’s ontop of the water. i have a pretty cool ocean base on the go at the moment, it’s a very good mod to have if you want to build on the water with out pilla support
-U can use the lunch atk to jump out of water and grab flyers -Lunch atk does bleed (stackable) -Lunch atk triggers blood frenzy which is like a rapid regeneration of hp and stam, it recovers like 600hp ig -All the allied Xiph effected by the blood frenzy gets an dmg boost too if i remember correctly -Wild Xiph can't pull u off from ur tame like kapro neither u can do this with other player...in simple words it works on tames and players not riders -Yes, once u r in it's mouth it'll one shot u no matter how good ur armore is Secret tip🤫: Auto clicker can actually increase the dps of Xiph but u might get banned from pvp server for doing that...
20:43 the variant creatures for ark additions such as abyssal xiphactinus and woolly brachi will remain tied to the mod version. That's just the way Garuga wanted it be when his creatures became official. iirc the same thing goes for his bosses in the mod.

Xiphincter taming, go! And yeah the trike mobs on The Center can be a bit terrifying if you want to kill them all. Although, the taming of the Xiphincter should be a joy to watch.
You should add the "The Sunken World Additions" mod, it has an Anomalocaris (much smaller than Garuga's) which kinda acts like a primitive SCUBA tank and many other cool water creatures!
Hello Syntac I believe if you use walls all the way down to the ocean floor from the first ceiling and then attach a foundation to the wall you can then just put the foundations on the ocean floor and you will not need all the pillars you can even get rid of the walls at that point and it will float. I hope this helps
You’re my favorite ark TH-camr. Only found you a few years ago but went back and have been watching all your old series. My favorite has been Primal Fear and the Hunted is a close second and I hope you might do those again in the future since they won’t be the same mods. Keep up the great work and content you’re the reason I still play ark and always look forward to your posts. I just graduated highschool which is why I’ve had the time to go back and watch through old content.
Dont use walls, use behemoth gates for the waterpen. Do a sqare of foundation support, one pillar up with ceilings to put a second row of behes on top of the first
I feel like if you put foundations on the sea floor, you should be able to put ceilings down without supports. I think they just need a foundation under them now. I have a "free floating" second floor in my base with no supports. I had my dung beetle do the same thing, a relog fixed it.
With your build instead of using pillars around the outside maybe you could align foundations at the bottom with the pillar and then just build the walls up from those then youd save loads of materials from the pillars i think that would work
Hey Syntac, there is a mod I use that has ceilings that work as foundations. It might help you with the bridge and any other builds. I love building in games and it helps me out a ton.
Based on Garuga's statements, the variants for his creatures will be tied to their corresponding mods, so that will be how you get the Abyssal Xiphactinus.
I would love to see you add a mod that greatly increases the foundation/support area to allow for some really cool builds. Like, I thought of a bridge between those two mountain/pillar/ things with a "hanging" base from it and i know that would be really difficult if not impossible with the support requirements how they are now. So i think you should go for it and allow yourself more room to play around with building :)
Oh my god sure the cluster was great to watch you breed a crazy one but would like to see some advancements on these serial wanting-to-evolve fish haha
in ASE you could go to the INI settings for S+ or SS and disable foundation support with a simple command line, there are youtube videos about it and the mod page used to have a list of all the changeable settings
Pretty sure land dinos have never been able to target ocean ones. I haven't played ARK in a hot minute, but I remember never being worried about land predators targetting my water guys.
What the hell, I had a lavender one bug out on the SAME island in almost the exact same way just a few hours ago. Level 70 but still, spooky. I did actually tame it for the colors 😂
I wish the huge turtle (archulodon or however you spell it. The mod (that's the same as the Xiph, was like the tank that could be immune to their bleeds and could actually fight back against these things. Since barely any creatures can.

I was on the fence with the Xipha, when it was just a mod. After it went official, it has become my go-to water mount. It's pretty awesome.
Is the xipha on the island too or only on the centre?

I like the added jellyfish from the glaucus because it makes the archelon (whenever it gets added) feel more useful.
@Syntac while submerged, you can use the right click attack to jump out of water if you point it out and also grab flyers

The diamantinasaurus has a huge damage reduction when they’re sleeping and will only wake up if enough damage is dealt.
I put a metal billboard at the back of the trap instead of a gateway. For whatever reason they get stuck in it and makes things alot easier.
The dragons are my go-to water tames now

Syntac there is abyssal Xiphactinus if you go near the volcano and go down into the trench a little. That’s where I found mine
Tame that sleepy bronto guy, He gets a lot of resources with all his saddle attachments, once you get high enough level.
Don’t know if you’ve seen it but there is a mod that adds not just the floating platforms from Gen 1 but also a heap of different floating foundations

I let the tuna eat me sometimes if it's getting too low because of the blood frenzy it can pull off. Fun way to get that health up!

This map is crazy for taming I’ve gotten plesi with 63 hp randomly ran into 145 and 150 sarco with 59 hp and 55 melee it’s pretty amazing.
The Xiph can't grab you off of mounts just so it's clear. The only way it can dismount you is by grabbing your mount from under you.
