Bought my '87 GN new in '88! Been a really good car! The paint on this car is phenomenal! Love it w/out the side mldngs! Left mine on since they came on it!
@user-zy5vg9pe3e Congrats on your time, the dash is on the list at some point in the near future. But even with it, the boost, oil pressure, and water temp gauges will stay. Those are mechanical, and will verify that the dash is working correctly as a point of reference. The big tach and the shift light on the column will definitely be removed. I'm not interested in retaining the factory look inside the car, the rim and tire package kinda defeated that purpose.
@@HanzGruber-j1v@user-zy5vg9pe3e agreed. I re wired this car and started from scratch with this system. The engine harness is custom and enters the engine compartment under the intake with a 47 pin bulkhead connector. The harness can come out with the engine on motor changes.
@ttype01 that's probably what I should have done. I got the harness from caspers and bought a holley dominator computer. The amount of money I spent on this car is unreal. But I knew it was gonna be expensive been doing this since 87 starting with Duttweiler. And just had TA performance build my motor 2 years ago. All my friends telling me to just put a LSX motor in it. But it's cool to run 8s with a v6 motor.
@@HanzGruber-j1vhell yeah! Keep it the turbo v6. There is something extremely satisfying about running 8’s with 2 less cyl than damn near everyone else.

@ttype01 still looks good. It was a big project taking the old harness out and replacing with new one and getting all the wiring to work correctly.

Body and paint is perfect. Complete opposite of mine 😢
