No need for nitrogen in tyres. Air is already 78 percent NE. No manufacturer or tyre company recommends to put nitrogen in tyre. You may have some added benefits of nitrogen but that's negligible unless you are in F1 racing.
What you said is completely right but the problem is that you wont find a single fuel station which would provide you with 100% pure nitrogen . About an year back i too used to fill nitrogen in my tyres from a local fuel station but on a particular day i went to check the tyre pressure and found out that the pressure has increased from 32psi to 36psi . I was literally shocked at that point of time as nitrogen doesnt expand with temperature. I dont know about other cities but hear in kolkata max of the fuel stations or tyre shops have the same issue . What i think is that it is useless to spend a 100 bucks unless you get 100% pure nitrogen . 😐😐😐
I have few questions (this is for the 150-160 cc bikes) like the hornet 160r,fzs, unicorn and all . 1) when do we need flush the engine to remove all the dust inside. 2)what engine oil do you recommend other than the company recommended which lasts more than well over 4000kms. 3)what tyres do you recommend when the stock mrf tyres are done which have good thread design and grip as well and not get punctured easily at least because of the bad roads in Hyderabad 😓😓 (a little bit cornering while touring short or long distances like *dual purpose* especially not for the track ) 4)when do we change the airfilter for the 150-160 cc bikes (as I ride hornet160r) ****THANK YOU**** 😊
excellent..... thanks a lot for this info... i actually asked at the service station of KTM at different state as well.... they all told me different things, even they told me not to fill nitrogen in my New KTM , they told me to wait for like 6 months or so...... i mean , i was literally confused, now am sure and trust me on this, tomorrow morning itself i shall go and get nitrogen filled ... thanks a lot sir..... keep it up.... lots of love!!!
bhai I've been a victim to this fiasco aswell....i mean the regular air by itself has 70% nitrogen and the remaining is been divided among gases like a carbon dioxide and argon....so using nitrogen in your tyres is a fine thing which even i do occasionally but paying five times the price for just a minimal percentage increase in nitrogen is a fraud within itself....a strategy used by petrol stations to make a extra few pennies.... either ways a nice and informative video 🙂
Watched many videos nobody told about this suspension and ride quality and increase in the pressure with air while riding at higher speeds . Thanks bro 🖐
This was very helpful video ...a big 👍 for you.... I have bought new yamaha fz25 this year...last time we met at azen kawasaki showroom in mumbai 4 months back....hope to see you again...will meet nicely next time...your videos r life savior for all kind of riders...keep educating us like this...thank you❤🤘
I always believed nitrogen is a scam for tires shops to charge you for air. Inflation is Inflation, just inflate to the manufacturers specification. I love your accent BTW.
Hey Vikas..!! Donald here from Ahmedabad..!! I really love watching your posts on TH-cam and love your bikes too.. specially the R1. Your bike riding videos, maintaining bikes, safety measures are really very helpful. I learnt how to up-shift gears without using the clutch within 4-5 days and I'm really enjoying riding my bike.. I don't have a performance bike though. I own a Yamaha Gladiator Type SS model since 8 years... and love to maintain it... It's still close to showroom condition...!!!!! Also I watched your latest post about filling nitrogen air. I am filling nitrogen air regularly since the past year and it remains in the tyre for about 2 or 2.5 months and it even gives a good traction control. I too go on rides with friends(within 100 kms) twice or thrice in a year and after filling nitrogen air, my bike's performance has improved...I was able to hit about 112 - 113 km/h on a 125 CC bike. As your first love is the Yamaha R1...my first love is my Yamaha Gladiator 😊😊 It will be with me always and I love Yamaha. My dad used to have the Yamaha RX100 (1989 model) and I learned to ride on the same...Since then I'm a fan of Yamaha. I'm planning to buy the Yamaha FZ250 and need your suggestion about this bike...Should I buy the Yamaha FZ250?
Hello vikas, I have one question. How to check if the nitrogen filling station/machine is actually producing pure nitrogen ? Like, is their any kind of government certification for that machine where we can say that "so and so machine is certified and it produces pure nitrogen". How will we know if the tyre vendor/shop/air filling stations selling/filling nitrogen air is actually filling pure 100% nitrogen in my tyres ? Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers.. ride safe.. stay safe
sir as yoy said you dont need to remove all nitrogen to fill normal air in tyre is it same when tyre has already normal air inside and to fill nitrogen we have to remove all normal air n then fill up nitrogen ??
Very informative video Vikas bhai....as this question was on my mind from long time and you helped in answering with so much of details....excellent stuff
5:18 situation with punctured Tyre filled with nitrogen and worrying about inflating it with regular available air is amazing as you said 70% oxygen is present in the air.... And also the nitrogen available at petrol stations are pure ?? So yeah no problem with nitrogen and air mixing at some unexpected situations .thanks
Have you got any news about the Suzuki GSX250R? And I'm eagerly waiting for some good options in the full-faired 'sports-tourer' segment. I narrowed down to REPSOL Edition CBR250R, but I still don't have any information about it. Kindly help me choose. Budget- 2.2L (0n-road), mileage - 25 - 30 Kmpl.
sir, i have duke 250 ..1 week ago...and done 270 km...and my question is...when i start my bike at neutral and when i start to run...i pulled the clucth lever fully...and engage to 1st gear...at that time when i engage...there a sound no smooth sound occur, and i start running and shift to 2,3,4, gear still a a sound occur just as i shift the gear...can you tell mee the reason please
Vikas sir u r saying it is correct but if someone's bikes both wheels are filled with nitrogen and some how his bike gets puncher on a long tour ride and if there is no nitrogen available then is it ok to fill the punchered tyre with air... in short is it ok that bikes 1 wheel is having nitrogen and the other with air..?
I have a doubt that....if i fill nitrogen instead of air...can it cause any change in the grip between the tyre and roads...that means if i fill nitrogen the weight will be lower than the air filled before...does it cause any difference....that due to less weight than before does it cause any problems like less grip in between tyre and road while appling brakes and going in speed........my frnd has an pulsar ns if we fill nitrogen in it does it cause any problem on riding it on speed or in braking....
Hi bro. This is Vinod. I heard that nitrogen gas would cause cracks on tire because it is very cold. So nitrogen gas is preferable used in hot temperature or when we are doing long rides. Is that true?
Well the most important reason of filling nitrogen is Heat of tyres. People usually fill nitrogen in tyres when they go on longs rides where vehicle is moving continuously for whole day. It keeps tyres cool .
Hai bro but I just wanted to conform one thing which u left out Wat I felt using nitrogen 1st i felt a drop in my milage 2nd I felt my rear tyre was often getting punctures But after I started using normal air this was fine so Wat do u feel bro about this?
Loved this vid brother Vikas Keep doing the good job bro... Much love Just a small query Should we fill N2 to the same psi levels as we fill regular air or is there a pressure difference we should stick to for optimum performance...?
Sir I have a query. I hv pulsar rs 200 (2017). When I downshift gear frm neutral to 1st and I m ready to go then without accelerating when I loose my clutch slowly ,my bike rolls ahead and it goes on. Is it normal?
Hi Vikas.. Must say you have a very unique style to everything you do! Keep up with that... On basis of this video, I needed to know if it's possible to fill nitrogen air on my RE Himalayan, which does NOT have a tubeless tyre and has steel spoke rims ?
can I fill N2 in any tyre ? or I can fill N2 only in Tubeless tyres ?? After 1yr. of continuously fill N2 in my tyres, if I again started to fill air will it harm my tyres ??
Generally if we use air it become hot in any season and cause rubber too .. I mean the life of a tyre reduces .. if we use nitrogen it makes no heat or less heat inside the tyre and tyre Life also increases .. I experienced it on my 2017 d390 with new metzeler tyre it smells rubber on Tarmac.. what I’m thinking is it sensible plz explain bro
These 29 dislikes are probably the gas station who don't keep nitrogen.
No need for nitrogen in tyres. Air is already 78 percent NE. No manufacturer or tyre company recommends to put nitrogen in tyre. You may have some added benefits of nitrogen but that's negligible unless you are in F1 racing.
You answered the question that was on my mind for quiet some time now. Absolutely AWESOME!!!
The extremely helpful saga of your technical videos continue. Keep them coming. It helps a lot not only to newbies but also to professional riders.
i was in the same dilemma of topping up air along with nitrogen and now its all sorted out. thank you. your videos are very informative. keep moving

sid x_0 agreed only pure nitrogen will give you that efficiency if the tyre still had any normal air left in them then filling pure nitrogen is usless

buddy u know everything about bikes 👌👌
Hey bro. What abt in cold temperatures? Does nitrogen make an dramarmtic effect.
sir is it necessary to inflate the tire totally if i want to fill in nitrogen gas incase i'm a regular gas user?
How much pressure can I fill in front and back tyres
Vikas sir u r saying it is correct but if someone's bikes both wheels are filled with nitrogen and some how his bike gets puncher on a long tour ride and if there is no nitrogen available then is it ok to fill the punchered tyre with air...

Vikas the way you say BUDDIES is great It has become your Signature style
Superbly explained Vikas bhai!!!
Nice. How this effect the mileage of the bike. I heard if u use nitrogen, then the mileage increases. Is that true?
What's the affect of this ( nitrogen ) on milage of the bike ..??
