Brown trouts of the canyon river // Kapeenkoski rapids // Fishing in Finland

Our fishing trip headed to Kapeenkoski rapids located in Central Finland. Heat wave of the summer was over and it was time to chase brown trouts again in the cooling water. We managed to catch a nice bunch of trouts with flies and lures. We also had some contacts to bigger sized fish.

I'm going to kapeenkoski since 4 years (from switzerland). Best trout place on earth in my opinion. I catched the biggest trouts 57 and 63cm in Kapeenkoski with a "Meps" Spinner Gold. They go crazy for these gold spinners. Also Pikes and Perchs go crazy for the same lure... so you'll have action all day long.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. For example, there are rivers in the Bosnia that are much cleaner, have a much more beautiful nature and can catch huge trout. una river, neretva river...yes kapeenkoski is nice but not the best in around
