Another cool castle! The door looks amazing! Interesting that the arrow slits seemed to originate here? I remember seeing those on other castles, and such a good idea. The stonework is so amazing, and the castle seems to go on and on. The Great Tower was really impressive. The drone shots really gave an impressive overview. What a setting! Truly spectacular views from Martin's tower! The battlements are so cool. Superb narration again, and thanks for the excellent tour!

Visited Chepstow Castle several times. One of the great Welsh castles. Must ho again soon.

@@PinnedonPlaces We were at Old Sarum, Salisbury, the other week, not high standing remains but certainly impressive and still plenty to see, it was built by William the Conquerer and he paid off his army there, also the foundations of the original cathedral in the outer Bailey. It’s a pretty incredible place especially as it’s based on the Norman original.
The drone footage is just brilliant- shows off the castle in all its glory!! And you get an idea of just how big it is!!

The Wye is a beautiful place, so much is connected to it and completely agree about the river cliffs, they were astounding to see when out on the balcony, this castle is a must see, you would particularly like the wildlife and birds flying around the cliff edges, it's pretty beautiful to see! Now that did look a real strong castle and my brother lives in South wales but he says he has never been before, looks like we have both missed out, real impressive castle. The drone footage really showed how big and strong the castle still looked to this day. Must admit I would not fancy walking down that very narrow, winding staircase, especially with my size 11 flippers! Cheers Alan
Hehe yup that staircase was narrow, most of the spiral staircases in wales were particularly small, its actually fascinating how they were built back in the day compared to us now but i suppose its diets and such that have made us bigger/taller. Chepstow is such an incredible site and they have a really nice walking trail all the way around the castle, thank you so much for commenting and watching the video! Much appreciated! :)

You had a nice day for nice shots of the castle! These doors and windows look very interesting and unusual. We especially like the stone interior. Very well preserved. In parts of Croatia along the Adriatic Sea, old stone houses are highly valued for tourist purposes. The stonework is so impressive. The drone shots give such a beautiful and impressive view of the old walls, the beautiful tower and the castle. Greetings from us. 🤗👍✨
The font side of the castle is very similar to that of Goodrich (that you showed us a month or so ago). In particular the base of the tower on the left hand side. Good job guys
