This was by far the most plot heavy episode of the year and I am all for it. The callbacks,the emotion, the character connections and even the new characters were all so well written that I felt like this episode was way longer than it was. I love that Ozzie and Bee were on Blitz' side the whole time!! Because they actually got to meet Blitz and know that he is not that kind of person. Ozzie knows he's a good friend and Bee know's he tries his best as a father.
It's just so good to see that Bee and Ozzie really are genuinely good. They're the only Prince's who stood up for Blitz. and seeing Loona genuinely happy for her father as well.
Stella hugging Octavia to comfort her while at the same time smiling so evilly because she’s happy that Stolas is going to die makes Stella a true monster. Also Loona calling Blitz dad will always be adorable.

Stolas' exhausted "always" at the end is so heartbreaking. After all that emotional turbulence, Blitz finally shows him the reciprocated love he LONGED for only after he lost everything. His conflicted tone before falling asleep makes me anticipate the hell outta the next episode.
That's cuz blitz understood what he lost last episode and now he has this one chance to fix this yes I agree the situation is very unfortunate but it has potential for both to get what they need finally
He saved Blitz at the expense of everything he had, including Octavia. He’s now at the lowest point in the series that we have ever seen him. Depression does not make for a good gateway to romantic shenanigans. I think it will take some time, but I do hope they both come around-though you can’t deny how universally unbalanced their relationship continues to be. I think Stolas needs to learn to put himself, his wants, and his needs first to heal-i think that’s something we all need.

Vasage literally being the only responsible goetia is such a great touch. I actually thought they were going to forget vasago at all bcz he isn't the main character but this is so good that they decided to bring him back. And the way Bryce pinkham (the voice of stolas) sings just breaks the fourth wall completely.

God the reverse of roles of how stolas is now the bottom of the social hierarchy and blitz is liked by the public,stolas and blitz admitting they care for each other and couldn’t live without one another through SONG, blitz trying to sacrifice himself for IMP, everything about this episode IS PERFECT

I have seen this show since the pilot episode, and never have I enjoyed an episode more than this one. The raw emotion throughout the trial, Blitzø admitting his feelings for Stolas (albeit implied), the music, everything. Oh, and Loona calling Blitzø “dad” when he’s sober!!! This was honestly the best episode that has been created and I can’t wait to see the next one
No wonder Satan is so angry. Also, Theory time…Satan, who I will call Wrath for simplicities sake, is angry and herds his aid to calm him down not because he’s wrathful, but because he is the only one that hates what he’s become and doesn’t want to be in Hell. Bee, aka Beelzebub the lord of flies, is a fat guy at a buffet in hell, Mammon is a selfish greed prick, Oz is complete hedonistic freak, Pride is too egotistical to accept responsibility or humility, Envy is spiteful jealous rat, and Sloth/Belphagor is too lazy to do anything, much less think. But Wrath… He’s doesn’t come off as a rebellious individual given his authoritarianly strict ways of ruling. He is probably the only sin Lucifer genuinely needed to convince and manipulate to join the rebellion. He most likely was a general; no… a Marshal in Heaven who earned and fought his way to the the top. However, when the War in Heaven failed he realized he screwed up, and Lucifer lied and used him. But when it all calmed down he found he was eternally banned from Heaven. His home, his family his friends, his spoils of victory, his legions, everything he had worked for and built his name on was gone forever. In light of this, he become bitter and violent. Creating Imps as a attempt to rebuild his legions abs loyal followers (which clearly didn’t work). And now he’s so far convinced that he nor any fallen Angels can go home and be forgiven as well as so infuriated and obsessed with what he lost… he is now in both looks and personality is a mockery of who and what he once was.
I'm just glad that Beelzebub didn’t get the Striker treatment and Kesha actually got to come back. She's on a role with her music now and she's an icon in this fandom now.
It's amazing how Blitzø and Stolas are now basically trading lives, meaning they'll likely end up understanding each other's struggles through the past episodes

Why is NOBODY mentioning the absolute DEVASTATION in Stolas’ expression when he sees Loona and Blitz hug, because he realizes what just happened and that Stella probably won’t let him see Octavia. He’d probably be fine loosing his power and home and living among the rest of the lower class, but I’m pretty sure Octavia staying with Stella was the finishing blow. He's also probably baffled about how he was so ready to willingly sacrifice his life for Blitz, even if it meant leaving everything-including Octavia behind. He loves Blitzø so much, it hurts.😭

Yeah, we still don't really know what happens if hellborns die, only sinners exist for all eternity as thier soul isn't allowed to "escape", but the way he said "For the next 100 years...." kind of makes me think either there's some biblical significance about a century, or Satan kind of knows that the removal of power and exile won't help him achieve his goal of draging souls if there are only so many people that can wield the power in the first place.
Andrealphus seems to think it's like a slap on the wrist. Or he's just really mad that Octavia (and by extension he and Stella) only has control of Stolas's stuff for that long. One interesting thing is that time is relative, Stolas could live for thousands of years but he's only in his 30s like Blitz. It's actually pretty touching that Stolas could spend the rest of Blitz's life on the same power level and social status as him though.
It is very much a slap on the wrist in concept, though I imagine the Ars Goetia is plagued with scheming and betrayal, much like what Andrealphus is doing. You can't show weakness for even a moment.
Oh my god, that may be the greatest Helluva Boss episode yet. I loved that we still saw the whole I.M.P. Crew, all of the sins play their roles, and the addition of Satan and Leviathan. I liked that we saw glimpses of some of the more important characters like, Octavia, Striker, Fizz and Verosika, as well as the return of Stolas of course. Then, the story on this episode was well written, the musical wasn’t bad either, and the color contrasts looked really cool too. Next, I also liked that we got to see more about Hell’s hierarchy and where everyone falls. Finally, I liked the ending that Blitzø became a hero for his bravery as an imp, and that he could be with Stolas once more as lovers. Can’t wait for Sinsmas in December!

The look on Verosikas face shocked when she saw Blitz on TV, Fizz’s face anxious whipped up his phone and started texting Ozzie immediately. When Ozzie checked his phone seeing Fizz’s text messages telling him to do something You can see how bad Ozzie feels. (This Episode made me cry😭)

I don’t think people realize how good blitz’s defence was. He is an assassin, and a pretty good one, and stolas likes him. So if he wanted, it would be a walk in the park
i think its interesting how in blitz’s bad trip during s1 ep6, gold chains were used to pull blitz closer in towards stolas, and now during mastermind at 14:12 they’re being used to keep blitz away.
But this time they aren’t gold. I’m not sure if they’re the chains from the “law demons” (imma call them that because idk what to actually call them) or if it’s part of that.. place or whatever it is Stolas has taken them too or something, isn’t it the same place from.. season 1 or whenever it was when he was singing to Octavia? I've noticed, that in the moment, when Blitz crashed their I.M.P car Moxxie addressed him "Blitz", not actually the usual "sir", that shows he was also gotten at by all this cobweb and worried about his and Millie a lot. That also means that he easily loses composure in life-and-death situations. Stolas, running rapidly to the court to save Blitzo's life despite being pissed and hurt before shows that no matter how much we argued and had misunderstandings before, we will always be there for ur ACTUALLY loved person, cause we never want/-ed this to happen with him and wanna him to be ok. In that moments our intern problems don't mean anything compared to our loved person's ones. Fun fact, that Mammon (The sin of Grediness, that green one in the court who's been arguing with Beelzebub and Asmodeus) flirted with Leviathan, being Asexual in the same time 🤭🤭🤭
Doesn't his testimony also leave questions unanswered? Like: Why would Stolas set up an assassination upon himself? The confession from Stolas doesn't alleviate Blitzo of both his crimes, just one. That warrants an investigation IMHO!

Things I loved about this episode: - The sins finally all together, except Lucifer. - Envy’s design looks sick! - When I saw the feather on Blitz’s neck I immediately screamed out “STOLAS!” …before an ad came on. - The little blush and kiss and the end made me scream too. - Stolas sleeping is just adorable. That’s it.

I’ve been waiting to see the embodiment of wrath itself for so long. This has to be my favorite episode of this series seeing all the sins finally showing what they look like.
It’s hard to because despite Vivzipop creating both shows they are both property of different companies. So a crossover is hard without copyright issues.

She's starting to slowly show more of her softer and caring side as the show goes on. And she'll continue to do so throughout the rest of the show, too. Also, look at 16:10 she's not only hugging Blitz but Moxxie and Millie as well and wrapping her tail around them too just like Blitz did in the pilot.
I like the detail how stolas's pupils were seen the entire time after he was banished, implying clearly how distraught he feels about this whole situation, mostly due to not being able to see his daughter anymore. I love how loona got more softer with blitz, and how blitz is helping stolas the best he can because he knows what stolas is feeling. And that tender kiss, he came to not believing at all that someone like stolas can love him to finally understand stolas can quite literally flip his world upside down to keep blitz safe. Glad we have those two back together again but oh boy do they need to talk bout their feelings more. Thanks for the wonderful episode Viv!
I think the lack of glow in his eyes was because of his power being stripped away, you can see black and red smoke erupting from his eyes when his power is taken.

This is probably the best episode so far. We finally saw all the deadly sins. We finally saw Blitz and Stolas really getting closer. We finally saw Luna really love her father.
Yes, this was like... like... like FINALLY reaching a hill in so many ways. The crew together, Loona loving Blitz, Blitz and Stolas finally getting to a point of some understanding. So much to unpack, I'm gonna have to watch this like 10 times. Viv is truly amazingly creative to pull this off.

Lucifer is the big boss of hell, but that's purely because he is the strongest and, what is so nice is they specifically pointed out in this setting Satan is the oldest of demon kind existing in hell long before Lucifer fell, so he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, especially when the guy keeps refusing to come to court like the rest of the Arch-demons of Sin, so rude. It's a little shocking.. the lack of comments about Stolas and Octavia's relationship here.... Like, he has Blitz now but it cost him his relationship with his daughter... Stolas can't catch a break.
If you notice before she opens her arms to hug Octavia when she looks in her eyes Stella has a look like she genuinely feels horrible she had to put Octavia in this position, but she hates stolas so much she can't hide her glee. I think she does care for her and it hurt her to put Octavia through this but her ultimate goal was to destroy stolas cause she hates him so much that even then she couldn't contain her happiness and the satisfaction that she got her wish.
This second season has hit so hard emotionally. Between showing how Blitzø and Stolas met, Stolas getting captured, seeing how much Stolas and Blitzø actually care for each other and not this, you have really put a lot of thought into each episode. Great job, Vivzipop. Keep the heart breaks coming.
Oh man. I absolutely lost it when Luna whimpered and turned away so as not to see Blitz being executed. I absolutely could not stop crying. And my God I've never seen Stolas look so handsomely drawn. Gorgeous. Tbh, I was so happy to see Stolas still loved Blitz. I'm hoping now that Blitz has realized his own feelings that these two can finally work things out and be happy together. I think this was one of the best episodes I've seen yet. Wonderful work guys. Thank you.
Can we talk about how cute it was that Fizz, after seeing Blitz on TV, immediately texted Ozzie to do something? He cares so much about Blitz and it's so cute after Blitz' stupid dad broke them apart.
Satan's verse was my favorite part of this. Revealing that not only does he effectively rule Hell, but he has since before Lucifer. But there is the added implication that Lucifer is actually stronger if he managed to actually take the title as king of Hell. That and a towering dragon with such a deep voice singing about how much better he is then the smaller ones around him is always the highlight of any work.
Right! Like you think Bee, Oz, or Vasago would bring up that up after Stolas took the blame. "You were the mastermind behind your own attempted assassination?" "Twice?" "Including being sent to the hospital in critical condition?"
I rewatched the season 2 trailer, to see if I could see any glimpses of the final episode (since now we can recognise what's already been shown bs what we havn't seen yet) and the only part that could be from the next episode, is the sound of Octavia saying "You never loved mother, and you don't love me. You love HIM!" and a moment where we see Octavia singing while all alone in some ruins. (and a moment where the ice Goesha guy is floating outside his ice castle in some kind of flex of power, but that could mean any number of things. Like arrogantly going back on a deal he made with Striker, or a falling out with Octavia's mom, or Stolas/Blitzo went to confront him, but found him way too powerful to mess with face to face) So I think it's a safe bet that Octavia is going to take this opportunity to pretend she loves Octavia, and turn her against Stolas and I.M.P, which includes Loona too.

It would be interesting if Satan was truly around in Hell before Lucifer; but seeing as Lucifer was an angel- an almighty being, taking control after the fall would be simple. Another thing that just made me lose it was Loona still she'll shocked and barely keeping it together as they entered the apartment. She's so happy her dad is alive, but she's also happy that the man her dad loves is with them. You can already see the wheels turning in her head on how to get her bestie, Octavia, to sneak out of Stella's house to come over for a visit.

I found this funny cause the last two sins we have yet to meet are probably gonna be the funniest in the moral scale. Leviathan could very well be on all of the category (good, netural, evil) and chances are Belphagor is gonna be netural because their just going to be in the background sleeping

This was by far the most plot heavy episode of the year and I am all for it. The callbacks,the emotion, the character connections and even the new characters were all so well written that I felt like this episode was way longer than it was. It's just so good to see that Bee and Ozzie really are genuinely good. They're the only Prince's who stood up for Blitz. and seeing Loona genuinely happy for her father as well.

Stolas' exhausted "always" at the end is so heartbreaking. After all that emotional turbulence, Blitz finally shows him the reciprocated love he LONGED for only after he lost everything. His conflicted tone before falling asleep makes me anticipate the hell outta the next episode.
That's cuz blitz understood what he lost last episode and now he has this one chance to fix this yes I agree the situation is very unfortunate but it has potential for both to get what they need finally

He saved Blitz at the expense of everything he had, including Octavia. He’s now at the lowest point in the series that we have ever seen him. Depression does not make for a good gateway to romantic shenanigans. I think it will take some time, but I do hope they both come around-though you can’t deny how universally unbalanced their relationship continues to be. I think Stolas needs to learn to put himself, his wants, and his needs first to heal-i think that’s something we all need.

Vasage literally being the only responsible goetia is such a great touch. I actually thought they were going to forget vasago at all bcz he isn't the main character but this is so good that they decided to bring him back. And the way Bryce pinkham (the voice of stolas) sings just breaks the fourth wall completely.
I love the detail of Lucifer's throne with the BRB sign and the rubber duck in his place. Shows that even here he has his emotional duck with him.
Pretty much shows he is an absentee ruler. And that he sits over all of them and might be a sign that he can return at any time.

I have seen this show since the pilot episode, and never have I enjoyed an episode more than this one. The raw emotion throughout the trial, Blitzø admitting his feelings for Stolas (albeit implied), the music, everything. Oh, and Loona calling Blitzø “dad” when he’s sober!!! This was honestly the best episode that has been created and I can’t wait to see the next one

I love how Lucifer's seat has cobwebs on it. He spends all eternity making rubber ducks while leaving Satan to handle the laws of hell.

Also, Theory time…Satan, who I will call Wrath for simplicities sake, is angry and herds his aid to calm him down not because he’s wrathful, but because he is the only one that hates what he’s become and doesn’t want to be in Hell. Bee, aka Beelzebub the lord of flies, is a fat guy at a buffet in hell, Mammon is a selfish greed prick, Oz is complete hedonistic freak, Pride is too egotistical to accept responsibility or humility, Envy is spiteful jealous rat, and Sloth/Belphagor is too lazy to do anything, much less think.
But Wrath… He’s doesn’t come off as a rebellious individual given his authoritarianly strict ways of ruling. He is probably the only sin Lucifer genuinely needed to convince and manipulate to join the rebellion. He most likely was a general; no… a Marshal in Heaven who earned and fought his way to the the top. However, when the War in Heaven failed he realized he screwed up, and Lucifer lied and used him. But when it all calmed down he found he was eternally banned from Heaven. His home, his family his friends, his spoils of victory, his legions, everything he had worked for and built his name on was gone forever.
In light of this, he become bitter and violent. Creating Imps as a attempt to rebuild his legions abs loyal followers (which clearly didn’t work). And now he’s so far convinced that he nor any fallen Angels can go home and be forgiven as well as so infuriated and obsessed with what he lost… he is now in both looks and personality is a mockery of who and what he once was.

Stolas, on the other hand, is getting less and less respected by his peers because he fell in love with Blitz, so they don't exactly trade lives, but there is a certain degree to where the roles are switched

Why is NOBODY mentioning the absolute DEVASTATION in Stolas’ expression when he sees Loona and Blitz hug, because he realizes what just happened and that Stella probably won’t let him see Octavia.
He’d probably be fine loosing his power and home and living among the rest of the lower class, but I’m pretty sure Octavia staying with Stella was the finishing blow.

Considering the implied lifespans of demons in this setting (assuming they can die of old age at all), this WOULD almost be a slap on the wrist if it weren’t for everything else that could transpire within said 100 years.
Yeah, we still don't really know what happens if hellborns die, only sinners exist for all eternity as thier soul isn't allowed to "escape", but the way he said "For the next 100 years...." kind of makes me think either there's some biblical significance about a century, or Satan kind of knows that the removal of power and exile won't help him achieve his goal of draging souls if there are only so many people that can wield the power in the first place.
Andrealphus seems to think it's like a slap on the wrist. Or he's just really mad that Octavia (and by extension he and Stella) only has control of Stolas's stuff for that long. One interesting thing is that time is relative, Stolas could live for thousands of years but he's only in his 30s like Blitz. It's actually pretty touching that Stolas could spend the rest of Blitz's life on the same power level and social status as him though.
It is very much a slap on the wrist in concept, though I imagine the Ars Goetia is plagued with scheming and betrayal, much like what Andrealphus is doing. You can't show weakness for even a moment.

Oh my god, that may be the greatest Helluva Boss episode yet. I loved that we still saw the whole I.M.P. Crew, all of the sins play their roles, and the addition of Satan and Leviathan. I liked that we saw glimpses of some of the more important characters like, Octavia, Striker, Fizz and Verosika, as well as the return of Stolas of course. Then, the story on this episode was well written, the musical wasn’t bad either, and the color contrasts looked really cool too. Next, I also liked that we got to see more about Hell’s hierarchy and where everyone falls. Finally, I liked the ending that Blitzø became a hero for his bravery as an imp, and that he could be with Stolas once more as lovers. Can’t wait for Sinsmas in December!

i think its interesting how in blitz’s bad trip during s1 ep6, gold chains were used to pull blitz closer in towards stolas, and now during mastermind at 14:12 they’re being used to keep blitz away.

I've noticed, that in the moment, when Blitz crashed their I.M.P car Moxxie addressed him "Blitz", not actually the usual "sir", that shows he was also gotten at by all this cobweb and worried about his and Millie a lot. That also means that he easily loses composure in life-and-death situations.
Stolas, running rapidly to the court to save Blitzo's life despite being pissed and hurt before shows that no matter how much we argued and had misunderstandings before, we will always be there for ur ACTUALLY loved person, cause we never want/-ed this to happen with him and wanna him to be ok. In that moments our intern problems don't mean anything compared to our loved person's ones.

Things I loved about this episode:
- The sins finally all together, except Lucifer.
- Envy’s design looks sick!
- When I saw the feather on Blitz’s neck I immediately screamed out “STOLAS!” …before an ad came on.
- The little blush and kiss and the end made me scream too.
- Stolas sleeping is just adorable. That’s it.
Envy's name is Leviathan, and I love her design. Curious how she'll be later on. I also love Belphegor(Sloth) was just dozing through most of it lol

I like the detail how stolas's pupils were seen the entire time after he was banished, implying clearly how distraught he feels about this whole situation, mostly due to not being able to see his daughter anymore. I love how loona got more softer with blitz, and how blitz is helping stolas the best he can because he knows what stolas is feeling. And that tender kiss, he came to not believing at all that someone like stolas can love him to finally understand stolas can quite literally flip his world upside down to keep blitz safe. Glad we have those two back together again but oh boy do they need to talk bout their feelings more. Thanks for the wonderful episode Viv!

I am actually happy that they decided to flip Luna over and actually use her development. These episodes are actually getting a LOT better in quality.
Yes, this was like... like... like FINALLY reaching a hill in so many ways. The crew together, Loona loving Blitz, Blitz and Stolas finally getting to a point of some understanding. So much to unpack, I'm gonna have to watch this like 10 times. Viv is truly amazingly creative to pull this off.
I expected most of this to happen, but that scene with Octavia drove a dagger through my heart. Great episode, overall, but it was so painful.

Lucifer is the big boss of hell, but that's purely because he is the strongest and, what is so nice is they specifically pointed out in this setting Satan is the oldest of demon kind existing in hell long before Lucifer fell, so he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, especially when the guy keeps refusing to come to court like the rest of the Arch-demons of Sin, so rude. If you notice before she opens her arms to hug Octavia when she looks in her eyes Stella has a look like she genuinely feels horrible she had to put Octavia in this position, but she hates stolas so much she can't hide her glee. I think she does care for her and it hurt her to put Octavia through this but her ultimate goal was to destroy stolas cause she hates him so much that even then she couldn't contain her happiness and the satisfaction that she got her wish.
This second season has hit so hard emotionally. Between showing how Blitzø and Stolas met, Stolas getting captured, seeing how much Stolas and Blitzø actually care for each other and not this, you have really put a lot of thought into each episode. Great job, Vivzipop. Keep the heart breaks coming.

Tbh, I was so happy to see Stolas still loved Blitz. I'm hoping now that Blitz has realized his own feelings that these two can finally work things out and be happy together.

I’m crying!.. This really shows how he has changed and improved. How he won’t leave anyone behind anymore,
Satan's verse was my favorite part of this. Revealing that not only does he effectively rule Hell, but he has since before Lucifer. But there is the added implication that Lucifer is actually stronger if he managed to actually take the title as king of Hell.
That and a towering dragon with such a deep voice singing about how much better he is then the smaller ones around him is always the highlight of any work.

I rewatched the season 2 trailer, to see if I could see any glimpses of the final episode (since now we can recognise what's already been shown bs what we havn't seen yet) and the only part that could be from the next episode, is the sound of Octavia saying "You never loved mother, and you don't love me. You love HIM!" and a moment where we see Octavia singing while all alone in some ruins. (and a moment where the ice Goesha guy is floating outside his ice castle in some kind of flex of power, but that could mean any number of things. Like arrogantly going back on a deal he made with Striker, or a falling out with Octavia's mom, or Stolas/Blitzo went to confront him, but found him way too powerful to mess with face to face)
So I think it's a safe bet that Octavia is going to take this opportunity to pretend she loves Octavia, and turn her against Stolas and I.M.P, which includes Loona too.
