sorry for question, do you know how to change dome interior lights in the mk1? I can't find a tutorial and I'm afraid to broke something...

You not have to remove the mirror. Just turn it right and put screwdriver to bend the puddle light housing clips.
Then it come down with connected cable...

Unfortunately not. There is a torx screw behind the bulb holder.

Your LED bulbs too big, and risk braking the glass doing it like that !
