I love Metta Lawson, it's the mad long blonde hair, the surly attitude and the old school art that reminds me of the 80s that makes me love this so much.
I totally felt when Chloe was talking about Harrison's art on The Out makes her brain itch. I feel like at times I can't look directly at it. Like some eldritch, cosmic knowledge that mortals were never supposed to see. And I fucking love it!
Glad to see Durham Red made the list. I came to see if you youngsters even remember her. I read all of her adventures in the late 80's (probably before most of you were born) and she was top hotness back then so I'm really happy to see she's still on the list all these decades later.
Great thrill cast; thank you both for posting! Some very good insights here; would love to hear more of your thoughts and opinions on clasic past characters.
Great episode, love the energy you guys have together. As for hottest... My heart belongs to Judge Hershey, and always will. And those Durham Red pages in the last X-mas special were a special kind of hot, bless Henry Flint. And yes, Venus Bluegenes is amazing, as are all the Dolls. But for my really out there picks, I'd go with Chira from Nemesis the Warlock or (robot) Risa Pirea from Beyond Zero.
Such a great episode. Personally, Venus Bluegenes is definitely at the top, when I saw that painting by Mark Harrison, my heart exploded. But Slaine is also up there, and Durham Red. But one that has always stuck with me specifically is there is a front cover with Finn on with two women. Those abs.
Henry's Middenface definitely stopped me in my tracks for a sec😍 but then so did the Durham Red a couple of pages on... right with you on the Venus front, ever since Brett Ewins' pin up back in the day.... lordy... aside from that it's Johnny all the way. PS - "BIG JOBS!" for the klaxon.x
I love the out - beautiful. I'm enjoying it a lot. I binged the current story two weeks ago ( as i tend to do)... now I have to wait weekly to get it. In fact, I'm just off to the shop to pick it up this weeks prog. On the topic of this thrillcast, I'd say Cyd is certainly someone I warm to.
Man , another great episode I will be thinking about my top 3 hottest characters and get back to ya also as klaxon idea how about Sly Stallone's I AM THE LAW , I thought he done it well
Definitely my hottest 2000AD character would be Angelina from the Stainless Steel Rat as drawn by Carlos Ezquerra although Metta Lawson from Lawless is a close second. Also a suggestion for a thrill-power klaxoon should be a swanee / slide whistle, which could be played in several ways, up, down or around, depending on what you're trying to celebrate.

Not to be too crass but Durham was probably the first comic female I w**ked over. I was 13 at the time, though, a regular Mr. Whippy.

Loving the new weekly format. For the claxon how about Sylvester Stallone’s “I Am The Law” or “I’ll be the Judge of that”, or even the Wilhem Scream?

Yeah, I've had a crush on Middenface McNulty going back decades...
Max Normal has deffo gotta make the list. Dude has style.
Fully on board with this list (there’s something about Red)but gotta say, I’m shocked Halo Jones didn’t make it!
Definitely, hands down, no contest.... Durham Red!
Maitland, Cyd, Constanta
love this
Joe Pineapples. He's got style.
Hottest characters according to my long-since-vanished teenage self:
1. Purity (Bryan Talbot version)
2. Anderson (David Roach version)
3: Durham Red (Carlos Ezquerra original)
4. Venus Bluegenes (Brett Ewins original)
Old One Eye and Satanus, Angel Gang, Durham Red
My hottest characters are Metta from Lawless, Anderson and Hershey, basic picks but big fan of strong ladies
Oh and hottest 2000 AD characters? Definite vote for Hershey. But we gotta have a vote for Ramone Dexter.
I think I would like to see a more mature Anderson, she seems to be constantly in the 30 age bracket, but she has to be well into her 60s now
Yeah!; Venus Blue Genes all the way.. .
