Rae writing down his rhymes on a cereal box. That’s as raw as it gets.
😂 Vanilla wafer box but I get what you saying
it would be better if he actually sounded like him and rhymed with the proper flow.................
What's the matter with you all? Do you think someone can just come along and sound just like RZA or Raekwon automatically? It takes years of practice, these are super talented people we're talking about.
@@gworrall1 completely agree my boi
@@alexgreen98 all I'm reading in these comments is the actor playing RZA is this or that, now this Raekwon comment, maybe they all should have mumbled their lyrics.
Even Wu Tang was shocked when they realized they all had rap skills. Not one weak link in that crew.
U-GOD?
@@illastration1 he got skills too, just not as good as the other members lol
@@samushunter0048 there u go that’s ur weakling
thats the most insane thing about wu tang. people talk about biggie, people talk about tupac (gimme a break)
but wu tang was 9 biggies. 9 tupacs. and even that is selling them short. wu tang forever
@@illastration1 U-God hella nice lol his peep his verses on "Winter Warz", "Knuckleheadz", "Da Mystery Of Chessboxin'", "Black Jesus", etc.
I loved how hip hop used to make you feel. it’s like everyone was different and had their own superpower
That encapsulates the 90s as an era. Everyone was unique, even the ladies. Can’t fully say the same thing now. More rappers sound alike than ever before.
Makes me ashamed of my generations rappers
This era was different now everyone sounds the same glad I’m from the early era
@@TheVibeDealer The Black Hippy era was similar dope af
@@REGALITY4LIFE it's crazy how you say that when rap music now has way more versatility than it had in the 90's. You saying they all sound the same now is like saying Biggie and Tupac sound the same. Or Big Daddy Kane and raekwon sound the same.. It's just not true
This show has made me really appreciate Wu-Tang more than I already do.
What's today's mathematics?!
This show made me hate them 😂

When it starts to fade even a little… you get a reminder that Wu-Tang is forever…
Man after watching the show had to re discover all the old classics an make up a mad playlist! 🔥
I met Raekwon in Denver when he was doing a show later. One of the realest most humble dudes I've ever met. Even more of a Wu fan since.
Word. I believe it 100%. Does the Chef speak similar to same styles as he spits raps?
@@fazenuget8403 somewhat, not as much aggression or street slang. Honestly from the quick interaction seemed like he was just a real chill kinda dude
Jason McAllister No doubt, sun. I’ve been to a few concerts & seen him, RZA & GFK perform live on stage. Amazing experience every time, too. Glad to hear your intriguing story as well. Now I really look forward to the new Wu season episodes. Blessings to you & yours, knowledge god. 🙌🏽

It's crazy how the longer the show goes on the more I'm starting to see their real counterparts.
The cast is off the chats everyone down to a T
it's even crazier when you see that people thought the casting was awful when the episodes were first starting to come out.

Im still weak Inspectah Deck made Method Man rewrite his verse😂
He couldn't rewrite it tho. He was next so he used what he already had and it was fire anyway
@@robertjohnson-tz6mw the fact he had to do that shows how good inspectah deck is

He did that to a lot of members. They even admitted
“I’m glad I don’t have to get in the booth after that”
INS was cold man
I know 36 chambers have the famous joints.. cream, chessboxing, protect ya neck…but I’ll always love 7th chamber. Something so raw about the ‘no hook’ approach and just a showcasing of the different mcs. And the beat bamgin
that's a good analysis you did bruh
The "no hook" was always what made 7th chamber. Raw beat and mcs on the mic. It doesnt get more Wu than that.
I always thought Gza had the best verse the way he finished it off.
Yup 🔥🔥🔥
him n rae went hard for sure

GZA never gets the credit he deserves.
@@kinexus3181 your right though definitely the best wu member when it comes to skills his album liquid swords just says it all.

@@potatoehoekari3 yeah he does play him better, they replaced him because he was in another show and wasn't available for season 2
These actors are on point I love the series one of the best
Nah, Joey did a terrible job as Inspectah Deck. He just sounds so off.
So true, the new actor is much better, the dude playing Rza is pretty weak as well.

Looking forward to the new season!! Season One was good. This clip was so raw, rugged, knowledgeable and authentic! It’s still a mystery how a grimy, uncensored group like Wu quickly became the most popular group in the Industry! Kinda like Griselda now, but not necessarily “Mainstream” and Wu was still pushing a message and wisdom! Much blessings and love to everyone from Canada!!
Ayo!
Not even griselda comes close to the wutang swords.
@@kylec.8350 I agree, it's diff, similar with the type of vibe and grimy sound, but also very diff because Wu were grimy yes, but it def isn't "Gangsta Rap" they were bringing you more knowledge and wisdom than anything!!!
Griselda is good but nowhere near the hype of the 👐u-Tang Clan. They don't have the same respect and adoration that the 👐u has. Ppl in Africa, Australia, Japan, Germany, Italy, Brazil, democrats, republicans, tv news anchors, scientists, authors, athletes, actors and actresses can tell you about the 👐u from their favorite 👐u albums to merch they bought, to concerts they attended etc. My ex was Japanese before she even knew how to speak English the woman knew every word to "👐u-Tang Ain't Nothin' Ta F**k Wit, 7th Chamber, Tearz, and Shame On a N***a"...that sh*t blew my mind! As far as it being a mystery it's not, the Clan mixed kung-fu flicks that ppl who grew up in the 70's and 80's watched and they added it to hip-hop. Nobody in hip-hop was doing that and it was DOPE!!!
Who tf are Griselda
Joey gettin recasted was kinda jarring but I'm not mad at the recast cuz the new guy honestly looks more like Inspectah
Except for the fact he looks fifty pounds heavier
We need ODB movie 🎥🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🤞🏾🖤🙏🏾

the acting seems horrible

Good to see the younger generation understand the Wu..... I was nine years old when my cousin open my eyes to the Wu-Tang this was back in 93. You Millennium babies miss a golden era back in the 90s.
It's the Gen Z who missed out. Milennials were growing up in the 90s and born in the 80s...
I think that you are the milennial xdd
Other dimension you misses like early 16 to late 17
I watched the episode yesterday where they was making Protect Ya Neck and all I gotta say is. These men was colddddd 🥶
Firreeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥 from RZA making the beat to all of them rapping in the studio. The show is getting better with every episode.
Definitely love the guy portraying GZA🥶
Inspectah Deck never disappoints
This show has been so fun to watch and learn about how this legendary crew came up
im hyped for this season!!! 36 Chambers
7th Chamber was ridiculous in 93 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Raekwon wrote his on a cereal box DOPE!
Genius was one of the most underrated MC’s in the clan.
Golden arms...
actor playin gza had the best
The true thing that this show illustrates is that the competition, brotherhood, and conflict made then the best supergroup in rap history. Nobody tops 'em.
This series is all dat, like timberland boots, and Yankees hats! Thee greatest Rap Group of Alltimes
Honestly now that I think about they might be lol. Ain’t too many groups on they level through rap history. Run DMC is up there with them but that’s about it
Seen a Wutang interview from some years back and Ghost said Rae would write his rhymes on anything such as a cereal box so that was a dope lil detail
This show is filled with little details like those, last week's episode had a small section that was filmed by GZA and the footage also has a real life counterpart, and there's even more I'm sure
Wu said in documents, that it was like battle between them while recording in studio. It was like non-stop freestyle rap battle
Joey Bada$$ = Inspector Deck/ Unique 🔥🔥 in both of his shows
Legendary group. You had to have BARS to be a member of the 36 chambers.
You had to have bars to rhyme period.back then
Could O join the Wu tang clan?
Priceless , the text on the cerearl box at 1'34
Guy really nailed that Raekwon!
If they would’ve played the game, they would’ve been like the Beatles of hip-hop
This gave me chills reliving my youth through these actors playing my favorite rappers and performing their songs behind the scenes.
now i love that album even more
Not a single weak song on the whole LP
@@fredleeland2464 tru. I used to not like “Tearz” but that song grew on me over the years
bro that GZA verse is crazy
The GZA actor is the best one!
Way back in 1996 I went to the Knicks Bulls game at the Garden. When I left I was in Times Square outside a Gyro joint. Reakwon pulled over in his Benz. Ghostface was in his ride, behind him was a Land Cruiser with Busta Rymes, Method Man, and RZA got out. I got to talk to them shared my OZ of Canadian primo buds and they told me to stop at the show at the Apollo the next night. It was such a trip with those cats.
These dudes all DID that! That had to be fun for the real Wu-Tang to see.
Dave East Playing Method Man Was As Close To Mef As They Gonna Get 💯 5 ⭐️ Performance!!!
Wu-Tang Forever! I am glad this Series is existing!
@Frank Lopez I'm the opposite. I'm watching the show because a friend recommended it
But I wasn't familiar with their music.
I love the show so far.
And I like I dont know them yet, that way I dont get spoilers 😅
that dude got Meths voice on lock
Joey badass said naw the power check bigger ✌️ HULU😭😭
huge props to jeoy bada$$
I miss these days you don’t hear music like this anymore
Can’t stop hearing miles 😭😭😭
Everybody remembers the 1st time they be hearing the WU
Facts.. I was like 14 comin back from a carnival high af and my friends older brother was playing CREAM in the car and I just remember being like “O_O WHO IS THISS?”
Bruh wrote his rhymes on the back of a cereal box
The chef
This series is a must watch!!!
the competition between these guys trying to one up eachother must have helped like crazy
They all friendly competing with each other
After that Wu Tang saga series, they should make separate chapters of each members stories up until they formed the group . They should also do post episodes of them up until ODBs death or the final album.... this Saga can continue FOREVER..LOL...it was Good
I miss Joey as Inspecta
Never made sense how they just switched the actors for Inspectah Deck 😂
I like how method skips the part where he says “ayo rza” because he ain’t changed his name yet
Method man saying he gotta rewrite his verse sounds like it was just Dave east as Dave east listening to Joey bada$$ as Joey bada$$
Goosebumps!
WU TANG IS INVINCIBLE!
SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
This biopic was so dope
honestly the fact that they all came together unfer these circumstances is god plan, absolutely....
anyone else getting goosebumps when they start spiting?
Yoooo rza killed it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I grew up with this music. I love the show, but in this finale of season one at this point of recording 7th chamber we can realize how real Wu members unique are. With their flow, voices and power of declamation.
Actors (even if the cast is really perfect) aren't able to compare to the real. They'r good, as they could be. They push hard, giving apparently everithing, but Wu is Wu.
I thing at some point they should mixed actors with real Wu rappers performence. Like in Notorious movie or Bohemian Rhapsody. Love and enjoy it anyway and can't wait S02.
Yeah, it's something off-putting about hearing these legendary lyrics from these voices. Maybe because I've heard it 1000 times though. I wonder How it is for people who've never listened before
Agree one hundred percent! 💯
Voice-overs would've definitely been the way to go here... 👌
I actually think Shameik does a pretty good Rae. He somewhat captures his intensity
@@kmalikmusic for sure. I love method man but man! David east does not do the man justice! They real should have went the voice over route
Actually I think they would be fine using their own voice if they had an acting coach or the actual Wu there to say "nah you gotta do it like this." They almost had it here, they were just missing that umph.
Wu Tang forever!
The cinematography and spontaneous reactions are so good in this clip! Can't help being dragged in.
THIS IS TOO MUCH! I'm getting emotional
im sad for ppl from this era and like wu tang that never saw this series, so perfectly good
my favorite Wu-Tang group album beat of all time
Raekwon writing on a cereal box though lol just grimey and raw.
The guy playing GZA sounds EXACTLY like him, it’s uncanny
that method verse is just so clean I love it - all the wu-tang references make him seem like a fcking ninja assassin
Rae had a much harder voice and delivery on the track, than the actor portrayed….but it’s all love, the actors still were able to depict the rawness and pure genius of WU…
Award.
The chef wrote his bars on a cereal box😂..no wonder he went first
El mejor cypher de todos los tiempos
I remember when you use to hear a Rap song and actually speak on it, breaking down the lyrics and meaning. Imagine doing that today, you will be licking a window in no time
My favourite Wu song, Raekwon's opener is the best, had to rewatch this season just to see this awesome re-enactment
7th chamber is an amazing track
Didn’t know these monsters existed until I watched season 1 now I’ve watched all of season 2 waiting on episode 9
