Wow, this us the most intense and emotional I have seen Steve as Jason. Very impressed with his acting in this scene. I felt his hurt and anger, he really delivered.
I love how Robin is having this conversation and looking at Jason's facial expressions-not letting him speak, but knowing his looks so well that she knows what he's thinking. It shows how well they really know one another and how deep their connection goes ;'-( Oh, how I miss them together!
Fantastic acting by both but the fact was Robin was wrong......if she dislike his choices then she should of left.....going behind Jason's back was not her place.
see this scene to me exemplifies the difference between todays writing and back than. the writing back then was more based on inner conflict with added exterior circumstances, now its just all about exterior. Bombs going off, people being shot, but theres no inner development, no personal struggles. Robin might have had faults but she was real. She was human and the audience connected with her because of that balance. Everyone today is just cardboard characters.
I"m not a Robin fan, but these scenes were incredible. The writing back then was so freaking good and I really miss it. There's nothing like it now. I came here because Maurice was talking about Steve's emmy award submission from 1998 and I wanted to see what they were and I knew they were with Kimberly. I absolutely loved how Steve transformed into Jason because it was so different from what he was doing as JQ, who in my opinion was boring and predictable. JM was the most original character in daytime imo. The Quartermaine scenes were tremendous and brought out so much good acting and the dialogue was insanely good. I get that the more people that hurt Jason, the more he shut down, but they never allowed him to go back to a playful place like he was with Robin in the beginning which is a shame. I hate that he was basically turned into a puppet for Carly and Sonny. I get the character. I understand that the job was all he knew and he felt like he was good at it. Everyone was waiting for him to crash and burn. Jason had so many layers for so many years and then they were practically gone. It was a waste of Steve's talent because it was the same plot rinse and repeat. Oh well. It is what it is, I guess.
Moldbreaker Your observation's right on! I miss these old times on GH, the Man vs Self conflict is the most compelling ps. Yes, one of the reasons I love Robin is that she makes mistakes but usually out of love/fear. If you look at her past; losing her parents, her first love, getting HIV, she's probably one of the only characters to have an excuse for doing some questionable things
LOL, Robin handled Jason's life just fine when she came back to him. Sonny and Jason even wanted to include her in discussions but she said that it wasn't necessary, unless, she had to know.
fair enough I thought to much of there relationship was about what was best for Jason Robin is to good for that imo....if the other women in his life want to fight over who meant the most to jason, who jason confided in most etc as if that is some prize to be won fine Robin is so much bigger then that.
@MGPMGP18 U still love Jason even with the way they KEEP writing him and the way he treats Sam and abandons the woman he love&his child for a job that could kill him. If you dont agree and still love Jasam alright its just me and I hate that Jasam just seem forced. J&R was the best relationship of Jason's to me cuz no one compares. Im just saying that since u dont like Robin dont watch the vids of her with Jason
Robin didn’t really understand Jason. She loved him, but she did not understand his need to belong. Jason could have done many things, yes, but he did not know that. To him, he had made a life for himself and she was asking him to start over ...again. To go back to the way he was right after the accident and start over.
Robin got Jason involved with Sonny, now she can't handle it and wants him out. She knew he liked to push things to the edge and live dangerously, she even told that to Sonny and Lily. She was good for Jason but she should never have brought him around Sonny knowing what a risk taker he was. What did she expect. They are young, but like all first loves, they are growing in different directions. Robin would have been better off with Jason Q. She is good with Jason M but she can't handle the dangerous side of him.
Lies! When Robin told Jason to consult Sonny about the money that Jason found, she was not introducing them to begin a work relationship. That is a lie that Robin haters repeat over and over. Robin objected to Jason working for Sonny from the very beginning!
Robin had a crush on Jason Q, but he didn’t like her back. When Jason M came around, she had a second chance to get the guy she wanted. She just had to get him out of the mob.
she's not perfect she's definitely wholesome though that's one of the reasons why I love her character Jason and Robin - my favorite soap couple of all time
@kashiera1234 a little hard since i love jason and for some crazy reason she was in love with jason. kind of hard to watch early mob jason without having to watch "robin" too talk about harsh just saying i dont like robin never said i hated her
Still after all these years, Jason and Robin are my favorites. These scenes were simply amazing

Yes! I always wished they stayed together.
I remember this. :( Their breakup was so heartbreaking back then! :( Watching it again it's STILL heartbreaking. :(

Amen girl!! These are the best years of GH. Passion and love and real storytelling. Can't even watch it now a days

I prefer him with Robin. You are absolutely right about him being a puppet with Carly and Sonny. He is so much stronger on his own.

yep
she almost got killed when the car exploded
and she still remained with him
and jason left the mob for her and michael
So do I and that is why I rewatch their scenes way too much lol
Robin had to fight to hard to stay alive.
damn this is good
Wow Great scnes between the two.
How come when Sonny fired him for being with Sonny sister Jason didnt fight it he chose Courtney over his job
Do you have the same with Jason and Robin and the tin man at Mac's house Thanks.

I completely agree!

Robin should think about why people especially Jason looks up to her. She so often acts like she knows what everyone else should do.
I never thought Jason was worthy of Robin not that she is perfect but she could do so much better imo.
she's not perfect
she's definitely wholesome though
that's one of the reasons why I love her character
Jason and Robin - my favorite soap couple of all time
I agree. I prefer her with Patrick.
I agree. Robin is too good for Jason. Robin and Patrick are much better.
I remember them and how much I thought Jason loved her. I guess they were too different and their love wasn't strong enough.
Robin lied about what she told Sonny.
What did she tell him? Where is that scene?
@kashiera1234
a little hard since i love jason and for some crazy reason she was in love with jason.
kind of hard to watch early mob jason without having to watch "robin" too
talk about harsh just saying i dont like robin never said i hated her
Agree and also Disagree
I was never a fan of robin and Jason.
@MGPMGP18 no one asked u and if u dont like her dont watch
Robin couldn't handle Jason's life nor could any other woman except Sam. Stop being bias, Robin was not meant to be with Jason.
I agree. Robin belongs with Patrick.
yaahhh still not a huge fan of Robin
