Dan James is one of the most important players in the front four. Everyone does not need to be a good looking dribbling player. Sometimes you need a team player who wants to pass and who wants to defend. Its time we stop looking at James thru the 2021 lens when he was played striker. At RW he is a top player.

That first one for Piroe was inch-perfect and a beautifully taken corner too for Sam Byram’s header. The boy is really coming good and you can see his confidence ia starting to soar. Farke deserves a lot of credit for out-of-form players playing really well again. Struijk and Meslier as well as Dan James.
Not trying to be negative, but I feel like against deeper opposition we really struggle to score but when teams step up or play higher up we create a lot more and score more. For eg during this one Watford were deep in the first half and we couldn't finish our chances. They step up in the second half and we go and score 3.
First goal is essential. After that they can't camp out, or they lose. So forced to come deeper. Then the counters come. That's why after the first we should be getting 2 plus. Bare in mind those counters take around 5 to 8 seconds and the balls in the net. Hopefully.
The misses in the first half weren't down to Watford playing deep. They were due to their keeper making some great saves and our forwards not being clinical enough.
The negatives l picked from this game is that Summerville was little more selfish , Antony on the other hand being a substitute means you have to peferct the mistakes of the other but there is a chance which he was supposed to pass to Piroe & he was selfish again
Worst edit ever for "extended" highlights lads. Just adding in replays is not providing fans with extended highlights. Also, to have 30 secs pre and post match is not a highlight. Nor is pre match applause a highlight we want to watch, as included last week for the Millwall edit. How about 10mins highlights from kick off to final whistle, and you might have something worthy of being called "extended" highlights.
It's a good game but I don't understand why Crisencio. Summerville He was in a good position to play and pass the ball to Joe Piroe to score, but he played himself differently than Rutter, who tried to pass the ball to the man in his best position.
Let's give Ampadu a shout as the best signing. He absolutely protects the back line while help keeping possession. What a player!
