Very cool video on the Quad Cortex. I will admit, I watch the intro to this video occasionally just to listen to that beautiful intro to Alright. That's on a whole other level. I'm guessing that's how it's played live, but Rob is a fantastic player so he might just be playing around with it.
I’m super new to QC. Been a Helix guy since 2017. This video gave me a whole bunch of inspiration for a different way to build patches! I’m using a cab and power amp and also sending to an ir to foh. But I’m gonna try some of this in that context. Thank you!
In regarding to the Neural Quad Cortex, can you do a "Master bounce" so to speak of a Preset that come with the unit and make it into one block profile to use? I would like to do that if I can.
Hey Rob, Thanks for the video loved your playing at the top. Looking good dude, have you bought new camera? I am not seeing Jams 3 on the cortex cloud yet. Looking forward to trying the expression pedal thing out. I have bought expression but have yet to plug them in and figure out how to set them up lol
Rob, I'm considering moving from a pedal board/MkV Boogie set up and this video has just about sold me on the Quad Cortex. How does the QC respond to riding the guitar's volume control though? I've heard anecdotally that this doesn't work as well as an amp responds. Do you have any views on that? Thanks again for another great video!
Hey. It totally depends what you need it for. If you are doing gigs using IEM's I'd say it's great. I prefer this for in ear monitor gigs. I still record with my amps and mics etc. most of my gigs are done using the QC though. It's really versatile and sounds great. I use the volume in my guitar loads with it. If I was pushed I'd say " no it's not the same" it's not worse , it's just different. Still great.
This is incredibly useful, Rob - many thanks!!
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Great to see how real pro does this. Amazing! Thanks Rob! Went and downloaded the stuff from the Cortex Cloud. 🎉

You're the man Rob
Thank you, Rob, for sharing your knowledge. I feel like I’m back on track when it comes to my guitar tone. That’s thanks to you!

This sounds killer Rob, love those tones. Great info too , thanks for sharing , great insight to the QC and how you use it.
Thanks for watching.
You saved me hours of messing about, as I was going to create a patch basically with all these pedals 🎸🤔😎
You are most welcome.
Hi Rob! Your experience and vision are huge. Thanks for sharing your workflow on QC. I’ll try your preset ASAP 🤗
You’re welcome
I hope you like it. Let me know how you get on with it.
Many thanks for this video! Great tones and no flashy fancy bullshit! Big fan all the way from Belarus
What a sound, beautifull !
Awww thank you
Wonderful 🌟
Thanks a lot 🙏🏻
Great video! Thank you. If you hold down on the input at the start of row A there is an Incredibly subtle but effective gate baked in.
Great utilization of qc. Thx!!
You are most welcome.
Hi Rob! amazin pedal I have one too!! thanks for share!💪🏻💪🏻
You’re most welcome.
POV: Video starts. Rob's first chord: a warm BBm11. PURE CLASS AND FINESSE.
I use an Axe Fx but still found this really useful!
Glad it helped!
Hat suits you
Thank you.

I see why Derrick McIntyre ( late) liked speaking about you.Similar niceness

Hey Del. Thanks for your kind words. Just set the Jam4 setting to public on the Cortex Cloud.
@@RobHarrisGuitar Thank you. Got it now. Can't wait to give it a go at next rehearsal.

Hi Rob the input section is 0 db or more ?
Thank a lot
Don't no a lot about but sounds good
Cheers.
This maybe an elementary question ..but how do you amplify it? Do you go direct to P.A. Or powered speaker, amp, what is the signal path?
Hi. Outputs 1 + 2 go to front of house PA and outputs 3 + 4 go to two Laney FRFR cabinets onstage.
Amazing sound!! This setting is just mono right?
It’s a stereo rig. You only are getting true stereo on the chorus patch though.
Do you use expression pedal to control volume?
I use one expression for volume and expression pedal two for reverb mix.
@@RobHarrisGuitar then you use only 1 unit control all
@@TheChotsaeng. No , I use 2 expression pedals. One for volume and the other for reverb mix
@@RobHarrisGuitar thank you
wow your standard clean sound is actually very dry with that little reverb, quite surprising.
