My mother is 73 years old. She turned me on to Ozzy in 1979. I remember in the 80’s when everyone thought he was this evil madman, she would giggle about it and explain it all to me and laugh about how gullible and stupid people were. She thought Sharon was one of the strongest women on the planet and just admired her.
Now my mom suffers from Dementia and some other things. Watching old episodes of “ The Osbournes” and listening to The Beatles i have found, helps her snap back into reality. Recently she has been obsessed with reruns of Jack’s show where they travel.
She mainly listens because her eye site is going..
I set up an Alexa in her room yesterday and introduced her to this podcast and taught her the Alexa commands to bring up the podcast.
She is in HEAVEN!

Two story home 13 yrs & 4 kids she moved into a 2 bedroom App. , the sperm donor has not paid any child support that the judge ordered . Please don’t ignore that these people also do a lot of amazing charity work as well. We don’t understand what they do day in and day out and they’re entitled to have some fun as well. Sure, some of what happens is ostentatious and I don’t understand why they do a particular thing. But I also don’t understand how they spend a lot of their money and time going to places that are not fun to support a group of people who are helping a charity. So there’s a balance that they maintain and it’s not our place to judge and criticize them because they did something that we couldn’t possibly understand. Please try to see it from another perspective than just anger for attending a stupid event that seems really ridiculous. I’m sure that I enjoy some things that others might find offensive. We’re all different and that’s what makes this world so interesting and amazing.

I used to not be able to look back at my old family home videos, either. I'd look at myself and cringe so hard. Now, at 36, I look back and say exactly the same thing as you: "I was just a little girl, and was so hard on myself". I wish girls didn't have to grow up and have past trauma to realize this. And yet they never let him finish, whenever he gets a say in, I'd like to hear what Ozzy has to say. But they cut him off/interrupt him mid-sentence, how is that respect? And I'm not saying that they don't respect him, but suffice to say, I think they could show that in a better, way, when the man starts talking. And maybe I have it all wrong, but that's how it comes across to an outsider, though. Jack is the only one of them, that really doesn't do that with Ozzy, and it's great to see, not to mention the fact that you actually get to hear what Ozzy says, until the female Osbournes decides to interrupt.

Even on the DVD of the “The Osbournes” there was an option to watch it with the “Ozzy Translator” so in keeping with time it’s a lot easier to help him cross the bridge than have him take forever.

I don’t curse very often. But I think that there’s a time and place where it’s okay. Everything in moderation and appropriate proportion. I have family members that curse inappropriately and it really bothers me. But I can still laugh at a well placed curse word. Balance is key.

@@Bubble-Mix-96Yes, it can certainly be tacky. But placed correctly, a curse word carries a weight that not much else does. I don’t curse often, and when I do, I feel awkward and silly. But I remember a couple times when I said something that I rarely say…and people listened. A well placed f bomb carries a weight that nothing else can. And I worked in law enforcement, where officers were cussing up a storm in the area where we all were together to work. I was an evidence technician and I saw, read and heard a lot of grotesque things. You get accustomed to it and you can’t fault those that are surrounded by the worst of the worst regularly. They protect and serve everyone, so it’s understandable that they need to let out the pain, frustration and everything else that they deal with in one way or another. I couldn’t do their job.
My therapist and I are exactly the same age and we talk to each other using everyday, normal language. We both drop F bombs all the time. I don't want to have to worry about censoring "naughty" words while I'm trying to describe a brutal PTSD episode. Lmfao

Seriously, I think that person they were talking about, or at least that person's boss, just wanted the inside scoop on Ozzy's medical situation, and maybe what kind of drugs, legal or otherwise, that Ozzy was, or is using. "they think they're saving lives" - i don't understand how anyone can rationalize throwing a party, calling it an event for charity, and then assume that is saving lives when something like 80% of the money raised goes to paying ppl that worked on the event, when they could call up the billing dept of any hospital to pay whatever amount of money they're spending at the party, on paying off random ppl's medical bills which would actually save ppl's lives.
Ive been an addictions therapist for 25 years and I swear all the time. Its a problem but its part of me now. There is no criteria for normal/excessive swearing sounds like the therapist is judgy. ❤❤❤ love you all

Yeah get actual therapist and treatment near you. Monitored taper /detox.
Im not a doctor but I agree monitoring is helpful and support like 12 step or a therapy group. Ive seen other medications work better and be safer for a slower taper or ongoing low dose treatment. Keep up the hard work sobriety is worth it.
I have the dvd of the 1st season. My favorite line in the whole show is Kelly at Christmas being totally offended by her friend criticizing Ozzy's hair, and says she doesn't ask Jessica's father to buy a toupee for his baldness 😂😂😂

OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR:
Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them. There was a staircase leading up to Tommy Aldridge’s Drumkit. The top left of Tommy was where Donny Airey’s keyboards were set up. Stage right and left had to cages with which Randy Rhoads would appear from the floor stage right and Rudy Sarzo stage left. OZZY had a throne of which he would appear out of to start the show to Over the Mountain. Tommy had his drum tech dressed as an Executioner stand beside his kit with his arms crossed. The staircase had a small section that would open and a small dwarf named: Ronnie (after Ronnie James Dio the new singer for Black Sabbath-replacing OZZY) and hand OZZY towels and water between songs. Little did we all know that later in the show: the executioner would bring the dwarf out to be hung from the rafters and later he would cut off his head using a guillotine! At the end of the show OZZY climbed onto a giant mechanical hand that OZZY stood on top of and launched unspecified meat 🥩 🍖 into the audience! Of course it was all an a theatrical act as the dwarf appeared to take a bow with OZZY and the band. When OZZY smiled we noticed he put vampire 🧛♀️ teeth in! We laughed hard! I went to the show with my friend Richard and his older brother Greg who was 18 at the time. We were 13. Greatest show on earth! Richard and I were both terrified and thrilled at what we witnessed! Unfortunately the next morning all that excitement and energy was gone as we learned that Randy Rhoads perished in a plane crash in Florida. Richard and I played drums but Greg played guitar 🎸 and he definitely took it the hardest! One of the greatest guitarist of our generation and had just won the new guitarist of the year by Guitar Player magazine. Rest In Peace Randy Rhoads your music lives on!

When I was in high school the Osborne’s was the most popular show on tv. It was everywhere and I used to watch it all the time. I even named my cat at the time Ozzy. So that show always brings me back to a specific time in my life and holds a special place in my heart thusly. Also, Ozzy lived up to his name and was the best cat ever RIP

When my grandma was dying I moved in to take care of her and we watched Ozzy and jacks world detour. She grew to love Ozzy and appreciate the music I was passionate about. Before she died she even gifted me a ticket to see Manson and Zombie at their Twins of Evil tour. Ozzy and his family have become such a comfort to me since she’s been gone. I’m so glad they’ve started this podcast ❤️
The Osbournes was the first show for a reality-based show for me to watch here in New Zealand. I had to explain to my kids that the Kardashians and other reality-based shows was not our first. We showed them some clips and they fell in love. Not scripted but how a family acts without the glam. Yip you had money but the gore and guts of it was all real. Me and my hubby loved it. I would rewatch it in a sec again with my kids. Gotta love sharon and ozzy for keeping it real with raising teen kids. It prepared me for mine. Gotta love Ozzy, he's old school, humble, simple and lives his moral ways.

My Meowma is struggling so bad with some kind of mental issues, and they are bad....most days she struggles to go on. The NURSE she sees is not really trying to help her and listen. She watches this, and it takes her mind off of whatever mental issue she is having. She suffered from this months back, for a couple months. Then a week ago, it came back. She has never gone through something like these past 2 mental episodes, she has never had mental issues in her 45 yrs of life....and my Meowma is really having it bad. Just want to say thanks for this podcast, and that my Meowma gets a little relief from watching you all.
