Right! If they’re going to have short episodes they should have a smaller cast. We are missing so much as viewers.

The Vibe here was SO right. Michelle pulling out "Alois Trancy", a Black Butler reference and Aura teaching her to say "Im beautiful" in tangalog? I feel like I learned so much more about her in this interview.
Gotta give props to Michelle, she is really doing a great job this season interviewing the queens in a way that we actually get to know them. Much needed when we are literally not getting anything personal because the shorter episodes are purely filled with rehearsals and petty drama.
ALSO - Michelle is such a lovely mentor, role model, and MOTHER to all of these queens. She is so sweet and understanding, and you can tell that she's genuinely an empathetic person that wants all of these queens to reach their fullest and truest form, in and out of drag. We're lucky to have her on this show!

The way that this single video explained WAY BETTER about Aura and her drag more than those 7 episodes she was in......

Within the first three minutes of watching this, I gained such respect for Aura. I relate to her in ways I never believed I could..
Listening to her describe the relationship with her father was incredibly heartwarming, but also hit a nerve with me because of the loss of my father back in 2020. Aura describes how her father was supportive of her drag, and that made me think about my dad’s endless support for me when I decided I wanted to pursue my passion for the education field and become a teacher. Then, I hear that Aura lost her father in 2019, so I felt that immediate connection. Then, when she said that he took his life, I lost my breath because that is also how I lost my father. Truly heartbreaking to lose somebody in that way, especially someone who you have such a deep connection to like that. It has been a little over two and a half years now for me, and I am still deeply wounded from the trauma of it all.
I think it is truly inspiring to see Aura, someone who I now know shares those same feelings and trauma as I do, carry themselves in such a wonderful way and is inspiring so many lives by doing what they are doing. I have gained such a deep appreciation and respect❤

Aura seems like a huge sweetheart, and is so incredibly talented. I'm upset with this elimination, but I feel she's going to do great things in the future.
I didn't understand the judging, again. She wasn't the best, and she may have come in with the wrong idea for the challenge. But she wasn't bad at all! We saw nothing of Lux Noir (and what I saw was very flat this week so there was a reason for not showing her), and Spice showed absolutely no versatility. Love all these queens, but they were my bottoms judging by performance. It was clear that production just had no dramatic plans for Aura. Such a sweet, smart insightful queen. I hope she gets everything she deserves ❤️

Considering her anxiety I think she did pretty well and didn’t get completely swallowed up by the other huge personalities. She’s talented and deserved to be there, she just needs to believe it.

michelle hugging aura actually broke me i lost someone earlier in 2022 to the same reason and like it just sticks with you forever and really never stops hurting but seeing how strong Aura is, really does inspire me
Aura talking about her father enjoying her drag and showing it off made me tear up and not a minute later I’m fully crying. Such a lovely queen and Michelle is fully giving this season of Watcha Packing.
Never shed a tear during Watcha Packin before. #1 Aura is so lovely #2 Michelle went so Mom mode. This was so lovely.
She wasn't the biggest personality but I truly think she gave us some fantastic looks. Her drag needs to keep finding is flow but all the elements are there. Such a lovely person. Aura, you will do great things.
Dang I wish Aura didn’t put on the facade in the actual show - she’s lovely af here and I wish we had that side of her in episodes. So happy to see the real Aura ❤
She said that she did have emotional moments on the show where she talked about losing her dad, but they cut all that out and gave her a super cringe edit. Definitely not her fault
they apparently cut all of her emotional and humble parts out to fit the edit. this season is sabotaging their own queens 😢

Here's to hoping that enough people see this video and read and understand the context and understand that this is a queen that is so much more than her edit, she's as lovely as could be ❤️
This is the pitfall of the shortened episodes this season. Every eliminated queen so far, I did not care about until these interviews came out. These ten minutes gave me more understanding and appreciation for Aura than her entire run on the season together. I wish production would be more kind to these queens and give *each* of them the time they deserve.
I wish we got to see the Filipino looks, as a Filipina I’m sad I’ll never see it on the main stage but my heart is full knowing Aura went in there ready to represent us and she did it so well. Mahal na mahal kita Aura! ❤

I'm sad about Aura's elimination and even more about the constant negativity by "fans" in the comments. Aura seems like an absolute sweetheart and I think she delivered some great looks and great performances, yet people were always trying to discredit her. I'm looking forward to seeing what Aura will be doing next!
wow aura is so charismatic and sweet, it's a shame we didn't get to see in on these short ass episodes
Drag Race is awesome for introducing us to these incredible queens, but that’s all it is-an introduction. Sometimes I think Whatcha Packin’ is a better showcase of who these people are then the actual episodes. Aura is so talented & so incredible. I can’t wait to see how she blossoms.
I’d honestly love for Michelle to be the head judge for a season and see how everyone comes out because (now) she’s giving all of them this feedback that would actually help them improve.
She’s tempered herself to really give give good feedback and I think her having a reign on any season would be *chefs kiss*
i love this idea a spin-off season that would be so camp they could play up so much comedy with it too
I'd watch 'Drag Race New Jersey' with Michelle as the HBIC.
She’s the only one giving any real critique. I mean Carson is good and has valuable input but Ross has to go. And the guest judges are horrible.

As someone who lost their father in the same way, it was touching to see how Michelle responded to Aura's story. Even though it's a small conversation, she'll probably remember it forever.
You could see how much Michelle Visage enjoyed kiki-ing with Aura. Aura's answers were genuine, humble, relatable and just full of class. Michelle literally asked Aura to move to LA. Only a few if not the first time Michelle asking a queen that. It's been a good whatcha packin season so far, and this one definitely one of my faves.

Well, some people aren't ready for a full-on "mommy hug" and all of that. It's likely Michelle was trying to feel out in the moment what Orion was ready to accept. Perhaps she misjudged, but it was pretty clear Kerri Colby and Aura needed a hug.
I remember thinking how thoughtful she was with Orion though.
The comment referenced something said previously and Orion was still slowly telling her story and Michelle gave her space and time to do that. Orion comes across as very complex and quite shy in certain ways - completely understandably - and a big hug at that moment would’ve smothered the rest of their story and may not have been welcome. Not everyone likes hugs.
We also only see the 10-15 minutes that are uploaded and Orion may well have had a hug after filming.
Michelle is well known by the queens for taking time to get to know them whilst on tour and offering a lot of maternal-like support and comfort.

Aura was one of the few queens I adore from the show. Just like other amazing queens, the nerves get her. But she did what she had to do, and she was consistent representing the Filipino culture. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to his dad. I can hear from Aura's voice that he was still trembling while recalling what happened.

Aura has such a sweet, loving, and warm presence. She is so incredibly talented and absolutely beautiful. She seems like the type of person anyone would be lucky to have as a friend. I’d love to learn so much more about her too! Growing up in the Philippines, a mother who was close with trans women, queer accepting family, she’s had such a colorful life. I broke down when she talked about her dad passing away and taking his own life. That’s something no one should have to experience, and as someone who has struggled with severe depression and suicidal thoughts in my life, that really hit me hard. I’m sad to see her go so soon but I’m so excited to see more of her in the future. I hope she feels the love she deserves from everyone around her and the fans. Love you Aura!!

Whatcha Packin' is really good this season! Love Aura and also the huge representation of the Drag of the Philippines with Drag Race, Drag Den and pinoy contestants on other franchises.
One of the best Watcha Packin's of all time... I wish we got to have more of these in depth conversations and spotlight into Aura during the run of the show, that would been great to connect more with her. Super proud to see Filipino representation on the show and you can tell Aura's a bright, energetic and jubilant person 🙌🏽

I feel more connected to aura by watching this than the actual show. Why is the online content so much better than the actual show? (I know it’s because they chopped down the episodes, but they could have done an extended edition for online versions of the show like on mtv or wow presents plus)
Tbh Aura wasn’t one of my faves while in the competition. But I sure did fall in love with her here! And I understand her drag SO much better, which allows me to appreciate it even though it’s not my aesthetic.
