That was one crazy session! Time travel is almost always messy in media. I can’t believe that you guys managed to get out of that sticky situation. It was absolutely hilarious! And I hope to see more one shots with Connor and maybe even a full campaign one day.
Ya the time travel got a little messy there. Haha! But Connor handled it like a pro! I agree with you though! I love having Connor as a DM and would love to see him run a full campaign. Maybe one of these days we can convince him to do that. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode though!
This is the worst set of characters to find this many powerful magic items 😂 And that’s so sweet of them to free Mug…even if it was with a bloody cloak. Poor poor Mug! What a good little house elf 😢 I can’t remember a time where we completely derailed the campaign, but one of my characters purchased a bag of tricks and my DM hated it so bad because I would use it practically every encounter. Don’t let Jefferson play with backwards time travel again 😂 I was definitely not expecting that guy to actually be Salazar Slytherin! Crazy twist! Super fun one shot! Loved it!
Haha it really was one of the most chaotic groups of characters we've ever done and they really abused those world bending magic items Haha! Poor Mug. He will be remembered. What a crazy twist! Connor did a great job with the whole thing! I'm so happy you liked it!
Jeff as a player is chaotic and unhinged! If I don’t know what it is… I do it anyway! I love the not meta-ness of it though. Hats off to you Jefferson. Sonorus I want to say technically only amplifies the caster’s voice at least that’s what we’ve seen in The Goblet of Fire from Ludo Bagman. I did a little bit of reading and it looks like the time turner can take someone back in time up to 5 hours at a time, one hour per turn. I dislike the Harry Potter time travel because it makes a loop like effect. The time travel could potentially make three branches. Branch one there is a time line where the time travelers don’t exist anymore. Branch two the branch you are creating by changing things. Branch three if anyone else were to interfere or if one thing doesn’t go according to plan you make a whole new time line especially with the four or five different ones that the party created.
Haha he really is! You never know what he is going to do! You're probably right. We were playing super loose with most of our spells. I'm sure if you looked into any of them we were probably using them wrong Haha! That's great! I never loved the time travel aspect in the Harry Potter world, it never seemed to really fit the vibe. However, I do love time travel in other media. I would love to run a time travel themed campaign one day! I think there is a lot to explore with it.
@@PG-DND time travel could be interesting, but I feel like it would have to be restricted a fair amount by the DM. It would be a little too hard to keep things straight after a while 😂
Ya, it would probably be a lot of work. I feel like with the right set of rules you could find a way to run it smoothly though. You would have to have a more strict set of rules when it comes to how the players could utilize it. The DM would also have to be prepared for crazy shenanigans as well, like in this episode.
Wow. This is the level 2 players finding vecna relics level craziness 😂. Nicely handled time travel... 🧹🧹 Definitely appreciate the absolute lack of metagaming, it led to some great situations. I haven't played enough to have a crazy magic item experience. I'm still relatively early in my first campaign, and we started at level one, so I am just about to hit level 4, and haven't yet found any magic items. Thanks for the reminder to be careful with time travel. Hoping to DM eventually, maybe soon, and can always use those tips that they don't mention in the DMG. Thanks for another great episode!
Haha that is a perfect way to put it! Haha We really do our best not to metagame, sometimes we aren't as good at it as we want but we try our best! I'm sure you will get some magic items soon, and at some point in your career I'm sure. It's basically a cannon event Haha! But if not that just means your DM knows what they are doing, unlike us Hahaha! But if it ever happens, let us know!
