My Heart Beats in Rajasthan! Colleena Shakti Presents Rajasthani arts and culture.
Chugge Khan & Rajasthan Josh perform a new composition from their Manganiyar repertoire. Immensely talented musicians, Chugge and his family come from the Manganiyar community in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. What is interesting about their musical repertoire is that they literally memorize thousands of traditional songs passed through the family parampara, and yet also play both Hindu bajans and Sufi Kalam with the same conviction and passion. Chugge is a dear friend of Colleena Shakti - she has toured the world from Bali to Egypt with Rajasthan Josh and Chugge and continues to perform with them across India and Internationally.
This was just another beautiful evening making art in the inspiring Rang Nath Venu Gopal temple that houses Colleena's dance school: Shakti School of Dance, Pushkar. Enjoy!
