- This video is going over the layout of the Panasonic FZ2500/FZ2000. This is to help those who have purchased the camera, either to introduce them to the buttons and doors, or for someone who has already had the camera but needed a reminder.
There are also photo and video samples from the camera at the beginning of the video!
The more you know, the less you will feel intimidated with the available settings and features!

Hi, thanks for the great walkthroughs! I have a question though, how does the picture performance/quality on this camera compare with the ZS200?
Very similar performance and quality but better video and zoom options.
Great intro video, I can't find the one point colour you mention tho, is it called something else on the screen????
In the painters palate mode, it is option 7/8. It will say One Point Color on top of the screen.
Do you have another tutorial showing how to set up the wireless so you can run it off your phone?
Also - this was very well done and much better than several other tutuorials we have watched
I don’t but I will add it to my list! Until then here is a step by step list on what to do:
-Menu
-Wrench symbol (NOT the wrench with the C)
-Wi-Fi
-WiFi Function
-New Connection (this step will change to “select a destination from History” after you introduce your phone/camera for the first time where you will then select your phone and head to the steps that are done through your phone)
-Remote shooting & view
PUT DOWN CAMERA, PICK UP PHONE
If you have not downloaded the Panasonic Image App, do this now.
-Go to your phone settings
-WiFi
-select your camera model to connect
-open Panasonic app
-in a few moments your phone will connect to the camera and provide you a live view and controls!

Hi. Great video! Question: why does the ISO tab on the back sometimes bring up the focus area instead of the iso settings, and how can I change that?
Are you referring to the tab on the touch screen? You should be able to double check the function of the tabs and shortcut buttons on your camera by accessing the menu>wrench with C tab>Fn button set>and check that the ISO button is accurate.

Oh just one question that's very frustrating, the shutter takes the picture sometimes before I am ready ?
Check your menu>wrench with a C symbol>page 2/10>half press release, make sure it is off

I am new to this model and have come from the fz 82, this FZ2000 is an amazing piece of kit, at the minute i am taking photos and there are not focusing the whole picture, its either the outside or inside of the picture that's in focus can you assist, please
Can you explain a bit more? is it focusing on a subject, whether out or in? and the rest is out of focus?
I can't get my external mic to record sound on video. I set the Mic Level Adj to -9db. Still nothing. Any advice?
Does the fz2000 europe version has continuous recording in 4K and does it do a crop? Is it a big difference in video quality vs G80?

This camera has a larger sensor and better focusing skills so it would not be in the same league. The SX70 is an equivalent to a cell phone but can capture far distances. If you want something better in low light, with video, and with customization, go for the Panasonic
what year did that model come out and will a new one come out soon 🤔
It was released in 2016, but there are no rumors that I am aware of that they will be releasing a mark 2
It seems the trend is currently more towards smartphones and full-frame cameras.
U used a gimbal with this camera ?
No gimbal used for this video, but with the right gimbal, you can (without using zoom)
Is there a possibility for proxy recording?
Not in body, naturally, but there are programs you can use
Thank you Shutterbug 101. In the Sony DSC HX 99 V it is possible to record proxy in the camera. I find that very useful to be able to send videos quickly. Greetings from the capital in the Netherlands.
Yes the HX99 does record proxy in camera through the XAVC S format

I bought this camera in 2020 for $1000 Canadian with bundle and extra batteries brand new. Now only camera causes more $2000. Why?
Different countries have different standards and pricing so it can be tricky to tell what is from the manufacturer and what is "grey market", as international products are not always reliable, at least from my understanding.
Heather, You seem pretty open to answer questions.
MY BACKGROUND: I've owned a FZ1000 since 2015. Great camera for overall surf and outdoor photography. Coming from the interchangeable lens full frame gear mode I can say the FZ1000 has been more productive than all that heavy, cumbersome, expensive gear. I'll never go back there again.
QUESTION 1: Here in January 2023 do you think that Panasonic will come out with an FZ2500 M2 or a step up to a 600mm or 750 mm version to match or exceed the Sony 600mm bridge camera?
BACKGROUND 2: I had several Lumix cameras during transition years and had this experience where I saw a huge quality difference between a couple years in the sensor quality.
Is the sensor between the FZ1000 and the FZ1000 M2 noticably better even though the sensor size is the same ?
I would think the chips are getting better every couple years which would take care of any concerns I have about the 1" sensor, which is actually 6 times smaller than full frame sensors. Still, I get amazing clarity making 24x36 inch prints with FZ1000 files.
Any info as to the above questions would be appreciated.

Hello Woody! So sorry it has taken me so long to answer you! Clearly, it doesn't look like Panasonic has made too much progress in the point and shoot area, but most manufacturers tend to have bridge cameras on the back burner.
In regards to the FZ1000 M1 vs M2, I think you are mostly going to see a difference in how the camera functions (better/faster autofocus, etc) than quality. Hope this helps!
