Fantastic tips ! Placing the wire on the clay and using pinch method is what I do too. I've never covered the wire in clay and will do so soon. Great techniques !

I should have added the alkyd dries very quickly. Loved your videos and have never tried dealing with stems this way but will certainly try this

I use Alkyd synthetic oils in sap green with a hint of red on the edges and wiped over with a paper towel, gives a really lovely authentic look
