please put the batterys off the edge you store so much more. there is actualy no limit on distance anymore though when it gets red it gets alot less efficient
no need for a new district if you don't want them. One district is all you need as long as you build enough paths. if you want to separate your beavers you are free to do so but the requirement for multiple districts has been removed. I think one district simplifies things immensely, not having to worry about food and water and transporting resources between districts is a huge win.
Just a heads up though, if you don't break up your district there will be a huge lag spike towards the end of the game (when you have massive colony and stretch from one end of the map to another). the game will have to keep searching for paths which drops the fps.
Just a tip for placing med-beds, grindstones, shrines, etc: They can be built under platforms in the same square if you're pinching every inch of space... Also, gravity batteries should be built with the weight side over a cliff or something so it can store more power.
just a reminder, you can build down with no limit so you can get beaver up the hill and they'll drop things down in place lol. also your water tanks are using your gear. (you found out). in case you haven't found out yet, dynamite requires bad water now. your beavers don't get hurt in the cracked ground so long as they don't swim in bad water but flora will die when grown in those tiles.
Honestly I think the badwater is such a creative idea Usually these games have different aesthetics but are very similar The bad water spices things up in a very creative way Ctrl approves
@@nathanc6443feel like it’s not poop water but either radioactive, or poisonous of some sort? I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s poop water that wouldn’t just kill the plants and grass.
you certainly got good luck about the bad water tides. or bad luck, since you actually want them to happen. there is a grace period of three drought cycles before the bad water tides can happen, though that's the default for hard mode, since you chose easy mode, it may be five cycles if i remember correctly. well, you are already far outside the stage of bad water being actually dangerous, so good luck encountering one~! a little piece of advice, from what i've seen you haven't build any hauler posts. i advice you to build at least one. their job is to carry stuff around, like for construction or for to supply factory buildings. you will also get the additional feature to prioritize a building by haulers, which is useful to have for emergencies or to keep some further away buildings running.
@@urkerab directly besides a levee bridge path, yes. i think he would be smart enough to not let his entire population run through there. though, he also has no way to let the bad water out with his current dam situation, besides diluting it, so maybe he will have some minor issues.
It's a five cycle grace period on normal mode, which I'm pretty sure he's playing on since he getting temperate seasons too short for easy mode. So there was not actually any risk of badtides in the cycles he played in this video.
Most liked mcomment? Seriously i hope you arent retiring like almost everyone else that made my childhood, so please i love ur vids, and hope you cintinue TH-cam.
I really appreciate that your methods are different. you have opened my eyes to options in this game that I didnt think about. Pro tip: For the early game, you basically want to spam pine trees. like...enough land for everything else you'd be building - fill it with trees. Oak is really good once they grow, but you have like... three harvests of pine trees coming meanwhile. stuff tends to bottleneck when you run out of wood, so a generous and steady supply is welcome. Second tip: levees are cheaper than water wheels. water wheels also produce more power the more water is flowing passed them at a time. on most maps, the two blocks that a water wheel occupies is enough to handle all of the water coming your way, giving that water wheel around 500 beaver power. That's enough to power most of your early game components, even if you splurge, and if you set up a second power wheel behind the first, you benefit from double the maximum output. That's a thousand power for two water wheels! Normally, parallel water wheels will get between 130-350 power, based on how much of the river is passing them. you want your water wheels on the inside of a bend to benefit from the highest flow off the bat. (As an aesthetic choice, i will admit that the three water wheels look very satisfying.)
Bad water is used for making dynamite now, plus you can do 1 level dynamite up to 3 level dynamite. It's pretty awesome. But the bad water can infect your beavers and make them sick. There's cleaning facilities to wash the beavers' fur to get rid of the bad water and then medical huts or something like that to heal them the rest if the way. I want to play Timberborn to experience this on my own, but as of now, I like watching TH-camrs play the game and experience it on their own. Oh and bad water reaches ad far up the bank of 7 tiles from the "river" so if you plan on making crops and/or trees by the rivers, staying away 7 tiles is a smart way to survive that season. Also, the water schematics have been changed where it dries up faster. Anyway, I'll let you play the game, it's pretty awesome you're back to playing it from so many years ago. Stay frosty!
Blitz here’s an idea to get the good water where that bad water comes down ( the one right next to your base ) once you block it off you can put 2 pumps where the water falls off ( right near your dam near the trees ) and it should pump good water all the way up that stream
Would love to see more of Timberborne with this new update. I have a surprisingly hard time keeping my beavers alive very long, and the moment I try to introduce a second district, everyone dies.
My eyes are burning over how inefficient, space wasting, and incorrectly you're building everything blitz XD whatever you do make sure you scrap the new district and put them batteries over the edge of a cliff. Also try to speedrun metal so you can get the big windmills, they are so much better in every way
I prefer the longer videos, I have literally nothing better to do with my life. And besides, I'm really glad you're picking timberborn back up because I really like this series too
Mr Blootz! I knew there's a reason I never trusted an architect in my life!!! Did you know that on those big TBMs that cost like millions of tax payer dollars to build then millions more to operate and stuff tunnels under existing infrastructure... I just learned that because of some contact thing that most of the time there's some contractor that gets paid upwards of TWO MILLION DOLLARS to paint the front face of the excavation bit.... Literally a part of the machine that once started will not survive for more than a few seconds. That's like paying a renowned artist 10 grand to etch and paint a half inch masonry bit, waiting for it to dry, then immediately using it to drill holes for anchor bolts in a rock face.
It's not nuclear waste or bad water its poop water even says "Why do we have to clean up the hoomans' mess? Oh, right, they're all dead." if you click on the spawner Edit: but sounds like a better title

Or better yet, build a super tall platform structure and put the batteries over the edge. More height = more energy stored.
no need for a new district if you don't want them. One district is all you need as long as you build enough paths. if you want to separate your beavers you are free to do so but the requirement for multiple districts has been removed. Was waiting to see he’d realised he could build paths everywhere
Just a heads up though, if you don't break up your district there will be a huge lag spike towards the end of the game (when you have massive colony and stretch from one end of the map to another). the game will have to keep searching for paths which drops the fps.
Wait they changed that? Yay! Having to get multiple districts to expand was the feature I disliked the most about Timberborn.
Blitz said he'll buy all of his members chicken nuggets from McAwesomePlace.
I'M TOTALLY NOT LYING ABOUT THAT. Just sayin...

Not naming your beavers after patrons = architect move
Blitzissecretlyanarchitect
BTW Blitz, there is no restriction on how far you can go anymore. However it can take beavers a long while to get there.
Yes to build I dpnt think it applies fo beavers who work and live there

no it already does kill plants you cant plant on them even if you tried with the forester@@ZoitRL
the District Center can cover the whole map if you want (though not advisable) it just makes your beavers walk more than they need to ^-^
I think beavers who work really far sleep im their houses being next to the district center and builders only get slowed down

YOU DON"T NEED ANOTHER DISTRICT, the paths extend the original district infinitely
This is an awesome game it is even better with some mods i hope they add em to the steam
it was painful to see the batteries being built right next to a ledge but not using the ledge... so much capacity lost...

They removed needing more districts just to let you know. So you could have one giant district.
Although eventually productivity goes down due to the length of paths.

a series would be awsome
health care is under well being, with the medical bed and teeth grinder. you can also build a herbalist to make medicine and i'd assume antidote
you should put batteries on the area with the windmills so when theres no wind or water current you atleast have some energy production
PS you put the box on the gravity battery over an edge of a cliff to make more energy
