    I always get a much better appreciation and learn something new for each plane you showcase.

    The restraint of not panning over to the U-2 flying past in the background. Thank you for sharing!

    Thank you for this. I had relatives who worked on these during the war. They don't get as much coverage as b-17s or b-29s, so this was a special treat.

    Excellent walk-around again Erik! Just FYI - Cavanaugh's B-25 "How 'Boot That" was also originally painted by Kowalik and redone in 1994/1995 by him, so it's a sister ship in every way to "Miss Mitchell". The CFM crew flew it to Oshkosh in 1995, and have grounded it since because of it's still original paint.

      Yeah I worked at Cavanaugh back then. Remember it well

    One thing that is difficult to comprehend is how unbelievably tight it is in these WWII bomber's. Like he stated, these were designed for young thin men. Even the inside of a B-17 is extremely tight. I couldn't imagine being in a Ball Turret back then. Thank you for the Walk Around Erik!

    Gran disertación de lo que es la tecnología de este bombardero y entender lo pasado con un presente de la aviación.

    Finally the 25! Thanks Erik. Any chance of doing one on an attack version?

      If that’s the one with the big gun in the nose then it may take a while. The only flyable one is at the Cavanaugh Museum and I don’t deal with them at all.

    Why didn't it need de-icing? The AC-47 guy said the same thing about that plane. Is it because of low altitude flying?

    • @ErikJohnston
      @ErikJohnston  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They just don’t fly into known icing conditions

    "This nose art was painted by the actual artist that painted it."
    Oh really?

    • @ErikJohnston
      @ErikJohnston  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That painted that nose art on the actual real Miss Mitchell during the war.
