I have a 1998 P Roosevelt dime with a wide rim. It has some black stuff on it so I have not been able to look for doubling on any other areas. Can you give me information about this coin?
Hi. I have a 1964 dime that has a few errors that you can see with or without a magnifying glass. First the w in we is flat and oddly shaped, then on the right side of the head by the rim there is a number 5, small but you can see it, and in the word trust the R is curved at the end of the R and it's touching the U. Is that cool or what. Oh I'm a beginner, and I love it. Please tell me what to do. K

There is a 1989 that has slight doubling to the obverse, but no 1987 that I'm aware of. There is a chance that it might be strike douling though. Thanx for watching

Yes, in most cases. A good way to go is to get a USB microscope that you can connect to your laptop/computer. But nothing can really replace a good quality loupe. If you want to get a loupe I reccommend a "Hastings Triplet" lens with somewhere between 7 to 14x magnification being more than sufficient. Bausch & Lomb is the kind I use but there are other makes as well. They aren't cheap - but they will last you a lifetime if you look after it. Hope this helps Thanx for watching
Hello Numisman. I coin roll search as well as paper currency. And to be quite honest with you. The dimes you mentioned in this episode don't come across one's table, even sparingly. To add these to one's collection, you'd end up having to go to a coin dealer or coin show to purchase them. I'm not saying they can't be found, but one should know to put on his or her seatbelt because it's going to be a very long ride.
I have a 1967 dime no mint mark, along with the I missing in god we trust. Also the we is barely showing and on the back where it says united states of America the test are missing the top part of t. Many other errors as you must see to really appreciate.
If the torch has both couplings on the top and bottom with the line dividing them and the fray’s going from top to bottom I would go to a 3rd party grader and send pics for assurance but definitely a good find up to 1600 for a ms 69 I believe
I have this 67...it's black in color on both sides...its not dirt and it isn't grease..you can clearly see the doubled die on the whole obverse...then you turn it over..the reverse...it is also doubled on the torch...this coin has me puzzled..

Something like that can happen when two planchets enter the minting press at the same time. You get two coins - each only struck on one side. The thing is that when that happens , due to the pressure of the press itself, the coins usually bond together. Thanx for watching!

Not sure where Waxahachie is exactly, so I can't direct you to a dealer. But before you take the coin to a dealer I would suggest getting a copy of the red book and Cherrypicker's guide. You can look up your coins first. If you are interested there are links in the description of the video to both.

I've found a 1981 D Roosevelt Dime DDR. Definitely not a subtle DDR either. It's an unmistakable DDR on "United States of America", "E Pluribus Unum", and the whole torch. The top of the flames of the torch is actually touching the "S" directly above. It seems I can't find any information on it online, and PCGS doesn't have the 1981 D Roosevelt dime DDR as a listed variety. Is it a Cherry Picker's guide variety? Any information appreciated. It's not in the Cherrypicker's guide either, and I cant recall having come across anything like that myself. My immediate instinct is to suggest strike doubling but what you are describing sounds far more severe than that. Can you send some photos perhaps? Thanx for watching

I started collecting Rosies. The only one on this list that I have is a PCGS graded 1963 PR67CAM DDR FS-803 (FS-018). Bought it for $120. However, it has a noticeable problem on the cheek of Roosevelt. A spot. But, I am committed to collecting Roosevelt dimes. I want to get as many varieties as possible. At least MS66 FB/FT.

I have I think a 2023 D 10 cent dime with a triple /quadruple strike. It looks very ,very cool. The tips of the E looks like a 4 barrel gattlin gun. With other doublings on obverse and reverse.

A few nights ago I found a 1984 p dime that was stamped flipped over and stamped again you can see part of the date and mint mark very clearly and the outline of his head on the back and on the obverse you can see oak leaves behind his neck and there's a similar. I crack on both sides of the coin going from the bottom of Eisenhower's neck to the edge of the coin and on the reverse side you can see the same dye crack going up through the top of the coin it's probably an extra fine condition but it does have many scratches

I'm new to this and I can't find anything on the internet about this. But I have a very strange 1994 dime. Here are just a few of the items. In 1994, the 2nd 9 and the 4 look like they're cut in half and then it looks like Extra metal, or something like that I'm not familiar with terminology, is poured underneath the whole 1994. The letter i and the letter w on the In God We Trust our almost nonexistent. In fact I can't even see the I at all. At first I thought they were just worn down but I did see another dime on TH-cam that had the same issue but they didn't really talk about it.. In the word God, the O in the D, the inside of the letters are slanted to the right. I compared it to other 1994 dimes, and this is the only one I can find like that. There are several other things on this dime that are not like any of the other 1994 dimes I have. Do you have a site where I could send you a picture of this to see if you know what's going on with it? There's odd stuff on the back too. I don't know where else to ask this question. Thanks.

Yes, I have a 1998 p dime that's a ddr, and if I'd have to say, I'd think it is a MS 65 grade. The torch and flame are doubled die as are several of the letters,. I do hope they are eventually recognized as I'd very much like to sell it and earn a profit. So now the world know they exist !
Hello I have a 1964 dime it's rainbow colored on the front with doubling and the back is silver with doubling on the flowers and the torch and also it has a mint mark on the back at the bottom of the torch it's a D. I bilieve it's a rare one. I also have a 1969 S penny. Its in very good shape it's exactly how it's described on the videos. I have so much more that my dad started collecting before I was born. So in your opinion tell me what I should do next
The first step would be to verify the variety that you might have. after that, and only after that - get the coins graded should you be interested. Thanx for watching

It all depends on the date & you look for doubling on both overse & the reverse of the coin & the beauty of the color what grade it would get & how much it will sell for. I love toning on my coins I think it's beautiful.

Sounds interesting, the discolouration could be due to heat damage or possibly even an improperly annealed planchet.

I have a few DD Dimes 1 with doubling in the image of Roosevelt the eye,nose, and the ear also date and letters
I have a 1965 sms dime with DD on both sides...high grade too .will send it in for grading asap.

I have I think a 2023 D 10 cent dime with a triple /quadruple strike. It looks very ,very cool. The tips of the E looks like a 4 barrel gattlin gun. With other doublings on obverse and reverse.

Yes i have not one but 2 1983 ddr Roosevelt dimes but can't find any thing about them. I live in a area that is good about seeing a wide variety of different coins( southeast U.S) could you say something to me about them. Are they new discoveries or what because there clearly double dies
A few nights ago I found a 1984 p dime that was stamped flipped over and stamped again you can see part of the date and mint mark very clearly and the outline of his head on the back and on the obverse you can see oak leaves behind his neck and there's a similar. I crack on both sides of the coin going from the bottom of Eisenhower's neck to the edge of the coin and on the reverse side you can see the same dye crack going up through the top of the coin it's probably an extra fine condition but it does have many scratches

I have 20 double died United States dimes I’m trying to find out the value and get rid of them where do I start I also have pennys with the marks on them and nickels
I'm new to this and I can't find anything on the internet about this. But I have a very strange 1994 dime. Here are just a few of the items. In 1994, the 2nd 9 and the 4 look like they're cut in half and then it looks like Extra metal, or something like that I'm not familiar with terminology, is poured underneath the whole 1994. The letter i and the letter w on the In God We Trust our almost nonexistent. In fact I can't even see the I at all. At first I thought they were just worn down but I did see another dime on TH-cam that had the same issue but they didn't really talk about it.. In the word God, the O in the D, the inside of the letters are slanted to the right. I compared it to other 1994 dimes, and this is the only one I can find like that. There are several other things on this dime that are not like any of the other 1994 dimes I have. Do you have a site where I could send you a picture of this to see if you know what's going on with it? There's odd stuff on the back too. I don't know where else to ask this question. Thanks.

Yes, I have a 1998 p dime that's a ddr, and if I'd have to say, I'd think it is a MS 65 grade. The torch and flame are doubled die as are several of the letters,. I do hope they are eventually recognized as I'd very much like to sell it and earn a profit. So now the world know they exist !

Hello I have a 1964 dime it's rainbow colored on the front with doubling and the back is silver with doubling on the flowers and the torch and also it has a mint mark on the back at the bottom of the torch it's a D. I bilieve it's a rare one. I also have a 1969 S penny. Its in very good shape it's exactly how it's described on the videos. I have so much more that my dad started collecting before I was born. So in your opinion tell me what I should do next
The first step would be to verify the variety that you might have. after that, and only after that - get the coins graded should you be interested.

It all depends on the date & you look for doubling on both overse & the reverse of the coin & the beauty of the color what grade it would get & how much it will sell for. I love toning on my coins I think it's beautiful.
I have a 1988 P a 1980 3p they have doubling on the dates end the midmark the 88 and on the reverse Andy 83 has doubling on the reivers what would that be worth both of them is in very good shape

I found a 1976 DD Dime that has strong doubling on the reverse. and I can’t find any record of one.
i have a 1976 D dime double die on both sides ,and the word liberty the Y touches the round and rest of the letters don't . and the L is the farthest away from the round .. dates is nice and clear and the d is not filled in ..the doubling can be seen in the word Trust and on the reverse all letters ..the dime weighs 2.3
