    Living through this era of hip hop is indescribable!!
    These artists were living the soundtracks and making them also… Nowadays, the music is just a short fad and and production. Very few classics being made.

    The WORST thing about the Movie Juice, is the BEFORE Tupac played/starred in this movie, he was the SAME guy you seen in Digital Underground, but AFTER doing that movie & PLAYING that character, he NEVER let that go & THAT person/character is what/who MANY black kids have imitated over the years & CAUSED ALL of their deaths, INCLUDING Tupac himself.

    • @Philasophical_Truth.Wisdom
      @Philasophical_Truth.Wisdom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s ALL/COMPLETELY true @@bl6369 If you was around during that time, it wouldn’t seem crazy to anybody, because they would have seen it when & while it was happening. Plus, Tupac didn’t start selling a LOT of records until AFTER he was killed/murdered.
      So people act like Tupac was BIGGER than life & don’t get me wrong, he WAS big & popular, but he didn’t REALLY blow up until after he started getting arrested & after he was killed. Because when he got shot, people thought that was a HOAX & didn’t believe him. People (the MASSES) thought it was a publicity stunt, trying to create a HARDER image than that one he had with Digital Underground.

This is the song Eminem pays homage to with his hit The Way I Am... Rakim has a bar that goes "I'm the R to A to K I am, if I wasn't then why would I say I am..." Eminem borrows this....

    There's a reason Eric B comes first. They come from the era the DJ was given center stage for their contribution. Then these record execs started putting on MCs, blowing their heads up, and the DJ worked in the shadows. Now every dummy with a pulse can push a few buttons on fruity loops and push out albums with no content. And they call themselves hip hop. If I don't see graffiti or hear about it in your track, you ain't hip hop. If you're not showing respect for the foundations of hip hop, you're fakin it. If the DJ don't get a shout out, I don't care about your music. You're just another mouth on the tit.
