I love listening to Glenn Loury and John McWhorter on the Glenn Show. I was wondering if you could invite Jason Damian Hill or Wilfred Reilly on your show. I listened to Mr. Hill on Michael Shermer's Skeptic podcast and found him truly fascinating.
You know, Mr. Peter Boghossian, what would really set this show to be my favorite is also inviting and talking to heterodox scholar and economist Thomas Sowell. I know he won't do interviews but crossing my fingers that he can impart on your audience his wisdom and knowledge.

From the government, no. Consider politics as a game of evolutionary selection against evolutionary pressure. The system dictates that people in political power will necessarily be selfish psychopaths almost always. But the low IQ plebs sometimes have good intention. Many people want "free" health care for everyone, because they do not understand that there is no free lunch, and they do not understand the problems that their naive pet ideas bring.

We are past the point of no return. Less than half the newborns in the US are white, and most of them have low IQ parents. In Europe half of all white women do not give birth to children, and those who do, give birth to their first child at the age of 35. It's game over. China, middle east, india, etc. will not be kind masters to North America, Japan, Europe, etc.

      "Why *are*..."
And the reason is because in a democracy, the politicians must appeal to the average in order to get the most votes, so they generally aren't far from the average themselves. Exceptionally intelligent people generally see the world much differently than the average person and thus have many ideas which do not appeal to the average voter. Additionally, highly intelligent people are less willing to compromise their beliefs to gain the favor of others, so playing politics is of no interest to them.

I used to be an English instructor at a university in a majority black city in the south. My students had never been exposed to Glenn Loury, Shelby Steele, or John McWhorter, so I taught them along with bell hooks, Angela Davis, and Ruth Wilson Gilmore for my upper-level composition and rhetoric classes, along with the golden oldies (Kant, Descartes, etc.).
It was wonderful to see my students turning over these ideas, judging them, rejecting them, accepting them, debating them, really thinking about them. Dr. Loury was especially empowering for several young black men in my classes. His ideas helped many of them to recognize that they actually DO have power in American society, and not just for their entertainment value (football, hip hop etc.), but for their minds. That being smart can be powerful and isn't something to be ashamed of.
I hope that Dr. Loury knows that he has made a real and tangible difference in many, many young lives.

Glenn and his buddy John have these regular conversations that keep me grounded. I’m not gonna become racist because of these experiences, even though it would be easy to do so. My America has us all in it and at the table even though some brothers might be more adversarial towards others than they should be. We are all going to eat together dammit!

I live in Philly and am in close contact. The despicable things I get called on a daily basis, simply for existing is exhausting. The things I see on a daily basis makes me disgusted. Bags of fast food trash right out the car window driving down the street. Throwing chicken wing bones all over the sidewalk. Demanding money, cigarettes even though I don’t smoke, 150 dirt bikes doing wheelies and ignoring all traffic, kicking cars as they pass by you. Sucker punching elderly Asians. Sucker punching elderly white women. Playing music as loud as possible on trains and busses. Somehow their lot is due to systemic whatever, or that’s the excuse. But the police chief is black, city hall is black, we have a white mayor now, but had black mayors for decades before. Don’t know how “systemic” is even possible in this city. I don’t hate, but I keep clear. I know it’s not all, but it is a vast majority.

I hate that the woke brigade is causing so much division 💔 I 100% blame the neutered "soft on crime" justice system, discriminatory affirmative action, and pushing this divisive rhetoric that White/Asian = BAD and Black = BEYOND REPROACH. It disgusts me. There are upstanding, good black people in Philly (or Baltimore, where I've lived), they're just hiding away from the street crime. They hate it even more than we do, because it's destroying their families and communities.

You don't have to be a racist to live in reality..
And the reality is that people of certain ethnicities are far less likely to be quality humans. Glenn (by his old age) became a stellar human being, Sowell is god, they are some of the best humanity has to offer, but that does not change said reality.
Europe has a similar issue with the roma (indian immigrants from centuries ago). They are worse, but have lower body size and muscle mass, and almost no outstandingly good specimens.

The one thing I sympathize with about the student loan relief is how many 18 year olds right out of high school who were told a degree is absolutely crucial and who have no real concept of debt or adult life and just do what they’re told is the right thing. We’re not properly preparing kids in high school to make that type of commitment.

Your comments on the national debt the cost of servicing it are worth expanding upon with the right guest(s). Because of careless spending we are ceding our global advantage, binding our children to a perilous future, and forsaking our responsibilities. This should be our primary frustration with our elites/leadership. The have abjectly failed at their fiduciary responsibilities with our tax dollars and spending. We can only “grow” our way out of this situation. We should anticipate WEF guidance that prohibits this path and pushback mightily.

"There are no solutions, there are only tradeoffs." Thomas Sowell. Seems like an economic principle to me.

I was born in the US, but grew up overseas. When I transferred to Rutgers they tested my English and determined that I needed to take a precursor to composition 101. During one of the breaks in that class two African American students sitting behind me started talking about how they might lose their pel grant because they were failing everything. They went on to talk about all the partying they were doing that was affecting their grades and they had no intention to stop partying. This speaks to what Glenn was saying about the problem with perpetuating affirmative action. These students had such a sense of entitlement that they didn't care about the money tax payers were spending to send them to college. They had been low performers their entire lives and would continue to be.
I have nothing against pel grants, I was on one myself. But I worked hard and graduated. These students got admitted and were granted pel grants just because of the color of their skin.

@@slimjimbonko6549 and yet you have internet or a cell phone.
You failed to follow what I was saying so at least the part about not getting an education was true.

Perhaps it would be wise to listen to more grandfatherly figures like Dr. Loury. People who have literally spent a lifetime considering these ideas.
