    I’m listening to this and realising how much I have just been consuming so much anti-kingdom culture. I have completely bowed down to a world where submission is a swear word, where gender is god and criticism/ opposition to opinion is labeled as bigotry; all in the name of progression. I am shocked at how easily I have just stepped away from God’s design for me, and how far I have allowed this culture wave to carry me to a maze of distractions that was designed to distort my focus from what and most importantly WHO actually matters. Iyhuuu, hhayini - the devil really is the master of distraction, if we allow him to be. He cannot create time, but he can damn well direct and dictate what you do with it. May God have mercy on my soul.

      The devil, will even distract through a comment section, but to God be the glory
      Lindelwa Cele my Sister, stay encouraged, the devils job to bring all attention to foolishness, but He will fail and God will win In Jesus name! I thank God for the ones He uses too, because they have a chance to be strengthened against him too, so that his kingdom may fall, GREATLY!

    Omg the last part about Jesus having dinner with sinners 👏 I love to cook and post my food often, friends have complimented that it looks good and I want to be able to invite and have conversations of the Lord but the introvert in me holds me back. Pray for my boldness 🙏

    This was so good! I love the question about how does Christ encourage us as women who are leaders. I have always seen His submission to the Father as a HUGE encouragement and model to me in my different submissive roles as a woman. He knows what it means to submit and He did it perfectly, even when He would have rather the cup passed. Thank you for all of this. So much needed TRUTH!

    Jackie, how applicable these discussions are almost two months afterwards with the present criticism that's taking place. Those of us who frequently glean from your teaching know you to seek to steward the gift for His glory and not your own. Praying for you. Stand firm!

    The panelists are hilarious and awesome 😂 😊😊🙌🏽. Thanks for pointing it out about how some black churches can be too patriarchal and/or hierarchical. Although my church is not patriarchal but they can be super hierarchical bc my church dont even consider teachers as actual “leaders”.

    But tattoo topic is different from purity ring. The question would be why do you need a tattoo? Where does it say tattoo will result in hell? And how can we make final judgement about who’s going to hell? God makes the final judgement.

    Churches are experiencing feminism. Females want to be heroes because they are heroes in the world now. Females think that men do not go through the same thing. In church as a guy I have the same issues that females have with male leadership. I don't though make it an us versus them or gender thing. I look at the individual. Women want to be heard and seen, that's how you communicate. There are men that are in the background in churches that will never seen or heard, why can't women accept that? A woman counseling 20 people on a personal basis is as important as a male Pastor leading 20 thousand. Females have been taught to want power and if they do not have it, it somehow makes them irrelevant.

    • @ladylabyrinth6345
      @ladylabyrinth6345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We dont want power we want fair treatment. Not to be equal or above but to be given a fair shot. Women have been pastors in the church for a hundred years. We've been silent heroes since the beginning of time not just now. More than 20 people have plenty to learn from us! Why not try to help more people if possible? Let us not forget all of our Women in history who have led and helped hundreds. If a male ego is bruised, perhaps they're doing the wrong work. Its not a competition. The difference with the silent men in the back is they made that choice. We didnt have a say!! Men made this an us vs them thing not us. Ill only follow my husband not just any man just because im a women.

    How I wish the word "leadership" could be changed to "servanthood"..... something Jesus embraced and taught. "Leader" conotes "power, specially gifted, governing etc". ALL called by God are CALLED and GIFTED by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, joint heirs with Christ. I am a natural "leader"...promoted in both secular and spiritual arenas because of that, long before I had the understanding that even our "gifts" need to be laid on the altar for God to use as He sees fit. That unlike the world those "gifts" are as important to God used with a few (our family, local community, church etc) as the many. As Satan attempted to lure Christ to "leadership" over the nations (which of course He already had if He wanted to exercise it...ahead of the appointed time), so is lure of "leadership"....especially in the church. Currently the is not a Protestant church that does not ordain female leaders (pastors, co-pastors) despite what the Bible says (as a Christian coverted as an adult I have NEVER seen God or the New Testament as patriarchal..as male and female are made in the image of God, therefore equal. The fact that man has lorded over the illiterate for his own misoginy and greed does not negate the complimentary but equal nature of God and His Word as the manual for the best and most godly way to live). Oh how I wish I had access to "older women teaching younger ones how to be good wives and mothers". I was miserably inadequate at both....as I mastered and excelled in my "leadership" roles in the other arenas. (I have listened and forwarded the one the Perrys did on marriage and submission to my daughter and granddaughter...thank you).
    As of today after visiting many churches...plenty of women in the pulpit but no female bible studies and even fewer childrens ministries. Its almost as if in the fight for "equality" we have again sidelined the needy.
