I liked the K552 Kumara so much that I replaced it with the K552-RGB and took my regular K552 to use at work. After 2 years they still both work like brand new!
I've had this keyboard (blue switches) for about 3 years now. I'm honestly over the moon for it. I've had a lot of different keyboards over the years from the big brands (Razer, Corsair, etc) and while some of them were great (some of them were definitely not), I have been the most pleased with the K552. It's a chonker for sure, heavy construction, the key presses feel substantial (which is great because I have larger hands) and it gives a satisfying sound. Of all the keyboards I've had, this one just feels like it has the most audible and physical feedback out of any of the others. Sure it's a low price and the font on the keycaps really screams "I'm a gamer bois", it is definitely far from any of the other "cheap" keyboards I've used. It's great.
I've had this keyboard for a bit now and I can happily say it's REALLY good. The Red switches sound pretty damn nice considering its only $52 (AUD). Another great thing about this is the ability to mod the keyboard very easily, also a side note for people who get this you get an extra 5 set of switches inside the box of the keyboard.
@@daveewyd4556 tried blue switches at my friend’s house and thinking of finally transitioning from console to pc, I don’t game past 10pm anyways and I like how blue switches feel, should get this keyboard with them?

My brother has a K552 with blue switches, and I remember this one time I couldn't sleep until around 3:00 AM when he got off gaming. I went to bed at 9:00 PM that night.
I found your channel with this video and omg this is a very detailed review and you touched every detailed we need unlike the other keyboard reviewers. Thank you so much cheers from Turkey
I've gone through so many keyboards over the years that I finally gave up and bought a RoseWill mechanical. Expensive but the best thing I ever did. Literally have used it and only it for over a decade and it's still going strong.
Outemu hot swap sockets only fit outemu switches. One of the metal pins on Cherry/Gaterons is too thick. You can make it work with a dremel and a lot of patience, though.
This is the keyboard I've recommend to all my friends getting into pc gaming on a budget. Even years later, most of them have not replaced it, have had no complaints, are are still going strong
My brother had that same keyboard for 5 years and it's still going strong, my friend is a competitive brawlhalla player and I bought him one because he was using a membrane keyboard
A tip from someone who's been using this keeb for a while : You can remove the ugly "Redragon" above the arrow keys by using an eraser on it for about 20 minutes with no damage to the keyboard. Also, that protruding part is removable, you'll need to pry it a little bit. Once removed, the PCB is exposed, just like under the spacebar key. It is easy to cover with a sticker. I erased the logo and put a sticker on the protruding part with my gamertag on it. Makes for some good customisability.
Bought one of these with only red LED from BB recently for $17.50. Figured it would be a backup or for a family member. I had never tried the lesser known brands or gotten anything too cheap, I wasn't expecting much. Ended up liking the typing feel and sound more than the Cooler Master with Gaterons I had been using. Still using it right now. Metal plate, adjustable feet, hot-swappable, decent features that other boards in the price range don't always have. I've had boards with Cherry MX Brown, Blue, Gaterons etc, and I can't really find anything wrong with using this one. Unless the switches are going to have terrible longevity or something, but there were even 4 spares in the box which I've never had in other products before. A few weeks later and I decided to try a Redragon 60% and am looking at a few others. The white K630 60% arrived and seems awesome. I can't afford all the high-end and specialty stuff people get into, I'm more a fan of a good bargain and I'd rather be able to try a new board once in a while even if it doesn't last forever. Considering other boards I've had cost two or three times as much and I can't identify anything that they did much better, I think I'm a fan of this brand.
The switches are kinda shit, some of them usually stop working a few months later, and the four additional ones become insufficient, but gladly you can buy more and replace them really cheap
Love it. Have had it for a couple years now. Dropped it while running with the bulls and 37 bulls stomped on it. I finally picked it up just in time to use to deflect a bull's horn. It pierced they keyboard but only broke the f8 which i never use. The next summer I used it surf in Hawaii when my surfboard got broken on reef. A shark chased me as I rode the Red Dragon on a 25 foot wave. It made a lunge for me but I shot the keyboard right into his nose and he took off. Great keyboard!
Ive been using the older version of this for years. Mine is all red leds and soldered blue switches. I put O rings under all the keys that see regular use which made it sound a lot better imo. Just today I ordered a Keychron C1 and some keycaps because of your video
@@David242Rblx I'm not a fan of the feel but they do make clicky switches sound better. Now that I have the keychron with tangies I dont use them at all
Ive had this keyboard for a few months now and I can say, it's a very solid keyboard over all and I haven't encountered any problems with it so far. Also thanks for showing the difference rgb options I never knew about the 1-8 keys 😂 Also dropped a sub!
So for those of you who are still considering on the K552, rest assured the thing is an absolute tank and super good. I had it for a couple years and it's been super reliable. If only it was hotswappable I'd keep using it, but now I'm rocking the Ajazz AK33 just for that ability
Does it work brand new? I have checked amazon and they have reviews of keys not working, or doubling the letter even though they are pressing it once. I am thinking of buying this, but i'm not sure.
@@Ayzlious Honestly mine worked right out of the box and today I have no issues with it. Definitely get it if you're looking for something affordable, and or you're just getting into gaming and wanna start with something really reliable, or if you are an experienced gamer and wanna buy an affordable keyboard of really high quality. I really recommend this product without a doubt. If you do get one and start experiencing any problems with it you can just return it later and get one that isn't defective or just buy a different keyboard.
Yo! An update on the hotswap situation, there are different switches other than outemu switches which work with this board, and they’re called AKKO switches. They fit in outemu hotswap sockets perfectly, and are a lot smoother and better feeling.

I've used this keyboard for exactly 7 months now in its stock configuration. It has been good enough to prevent me from wanting a better keyboard (other than a wireless one). It's everything I wanted in a keyboard with nothing more or less. I'd recommend it, but only this version with the red switches.
@@noodlesharvester7282 No, but I do have a deskpad. I didnt notice really any movement before I put it on a deskpad, but I wasn't without a deskpad for very long after I got this. If you have a deskpad, it will definitely grip well to that.

"Flip out feet, despite being a budget keyboard" feet on keebs are like headphone jack on phones - most budget options have them, most premium don't, and budget manufacturers tend to get rid of them when they want to get into premium price, lol

I've had this for the exact same amount of time and have had only 1 issue, which I don't believe is too major. The issue is that my comma key refuses to type sometimes and is actually more likely just the switch as it's probably just been damaged after playing osu!mania for a few months now.
I've had the K552-2 (the red only version with blue switches) for probably 4 years now. I've thought about getting a new keyboard multiple times since then, but I've just never had a reason to. Never had any issues at all with it and personally I think it is probably one of the best looking keyboards I've seen (aside from the font). Definitely held up to the test of time with heavy gaming and extensive essay writing in school. Would 100% recommend to someone looking for a budget keyboard since its just as good as many keyboards twice or even three times its price.
I'm actually a fan of Redragon, I have always gone for big name brands when it comes to peripherals, but decided to give Redragon a try when I was in need of a new Keyboard, and I have to say, that for around $70, they do have pretty good Keyboard models that are Fully Mechanical with Hot-Swappable switches, for me, just starting to get into the whole modifiable keyboard scene, it was a great purchase, and I really couldn't be happier.
A cheap one like this was my first - and while I've moved on from it, I'm so glad I got it! Different brand, but it came with the same doubleshot caps - just the pad printing was different. A cheap mech won't be as good as a premium one - but it WILL be loads better than whatever came with your computer.
Same, used an alternative brand name from the same OEM as my 1st mech. That thing was built like a tank and couldn't have asked for a better introduction to mechanical keyboards. I would probably still be using it now if the blue switches weren't so loud when working from home.
I have Kumara K552 -RGB with blue switches for about 2 years and i love it. Ofc, i cleaned switches for 3-4 times with circuit cleaner cause some keys didn't work or click properly, but for 50$ when i bought it, i can say it's still amazing.
this was the first keyboard I ever bought after I spent a lil too much on my pc, wanted a good pc took a risk on the reviews and price and was definitely impressed with the results

Have blue switches. Can confirm. Very loud. Keeps everyone awake.

Some tips : you can replace Cherry MX switch into this board just by cutting of the plastic pin , NOT THE METAL AND THE HUGE ONE
Outemu hot swap sockets only fit outemu switches. One of the metal pins on Cherry/Gaterons is too thick. You can make it work with a dremel and a lot of patience, though.

A tip from someone who's been using this keeb for a while :
You can remove the ugly "Redragon" above the arrow keys by using an eraser on it for about 20 minutes with no damage to the keyboard.

$17!!! I got mine for $61 for shipping

I've had this for the exact same amount of time and have had only 1 issue, which I don't believe is too major.
The issue is that my comma key refuses to type sometimes and is actually more likely just the switch as it's probably just been damaged after playing osu!mania for a few months now.
