I love how motivated you are. I'm a science high school teacher in Puerto Rico, and although I don't teach small children, some of your ideas are great for all grades! Love watching your videos! Thinking of incorporating choice classroom to mine!!
The different colored bells are to help young students learn how to play handbells. :) so the different notes are different colors. I think my church has all of those instruments. That's awesome that you found those and I love the ways you have to use those! :)
If people are right, and you are looping, I hope you love it as much as I do. I've done it a number of times and it makes the start of the year SO much smoother. You lose very little time "settling" in as the children just need a quick revision of the routines and expectations. Can't wait to hear about your good news.
We did an activity with instruments similar to what you were talking about in one of my college classes last semester. Super fun and great for listening! Even for college students. :)
I agree with everyone else that's guessing that you are looping. If so, that's very exciting! I won't know until May probably, but I think I'm going to get to loop with my 7th graders.
Thank you so much for this video!! You may not know this but you are helping me so much as I begin the stages of preparing for my teacher certification exams! 😀
+Roderick Woodard organize the information you have in your exams. For instance we have pedagogy, language arts, math, science... from there spend about a week studying for 30minutes or more depending on your learning style. Take the practice test a few times. Take one before studying, mid and end and see if you have made any growth. Try not to look at the test the week before. It's stressful enough. Hope this helps! This is how I planned my test out 👍🏼
Thank you!! This totally helps. I have taken this portion (science) of the Elementary Education exam in Florida 4 times and I feel confident in taking it this time due to what I have learned throughout my Master's program.
+Sandy Martinez - I can't sell it because it has some passages that are not mine. However, you might want to keep an eye out for the next newsletter. 😉
do you find that your admin doesn't give you TRUE feedback, regardless of sticking to your teaching practices? i'm finding more and more that unless i really screw up on the formal half, i'm always going to be ranked higher on that than the informal, even if the informal lesson is significantly stronger / uses the elements much more. i've been told that's just how it is because everyone wants to show growth, but it's frustrating to me and all seems so faked.
Just had to say that when you put your hand up quickly to cover the camera lense I feel as though you are slapping me and it often makes me jump. I haven't heard anyone else say anything about it so it is probably just an anomaly with me (I can be weird like that) but I've been putting off saying anything for a while and I figured it wouldn't hurt mentioning it. I absolutely love your videos and will definitely not stop watching - I learn too much from you. :)
Question what state are you in that you have what ever that test was called? Also I don't want to be rude but my Boces teacher always told us not to call children kids because they are not goats so yeah I don't know . It's kinda a bit of a pet peeve for me now so yeah but if you continue to do it it's ok 😊
Did you ever do a part 2 video for your visit to RCA? I didn't see it and was wondering which houses you and your cousin chose.
+jessica Caldwell ...it will be up on Tuesday. But I share my house in this video 🤗
