VF Commodore DIY Repair

  • This is a 2015 Holden VF Commodore Ute DOHC 24V V6 Direct Injection Petrol 210Kw
    Built in Australia . VF was the last generation of Commodore family. VF Started built from 2013 - 2017 under 3 models Sedan , Station wagon and Ute.
    Car was running perfect and not switch off by the key.
    First suspect was IGNITION KEY BARREL which was OK . OBD scan performed and there was not any faults. After that I have swapped over front power distribution box which I suspected . But fault did not go away. Then I thought it could be a fault from the Engine ECU which had past some failure about those ECU as they really getting hot. Got the ECU tested out confirmed NO faults related to it. Then I started disconnect each circuit ONE BY ONE to find the HIDDEN Fault . So fault was in behind the passenger seat second power distribution box . That Relay called Logistics Relay which controls RADIO , BLIND SPOT MONITORING & PARK ASSIT.
    No idea why that fault affected to rear Fuse box. Got second hand Relay box and Engine switch off by the KEY.
    Had to spend more hours to find this fault
    I had inquired from one of mates who worked in Holden dealership , he told me that he never seen such a fault before.
