You would think that the developers of these new hoods would have forethought and have planned for new shopping centers, grocery stores, etc. The food deserts are the result of poor planning. Fort Worth city planners need to encourage HEB, Kroger, Central Market, Aldi, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Target, Albertson's, etc, to plan and build these needed stores NOW to serve the needs of these residents.

There is a Neighborhood Walmart down the street, plus other shopping areas. Drive about 3 minutes more and there is a regular Walmart, Aldi and even an Albertsons and Target. All of these are less than a ten minute drive. Do people want to literally walk outside their house into a store instead of driving five to ten minutes to get to one that already exists? There are enough stores IMO. Too many of even the same stores in this area.

I've lived in an area full of HEBs, now I live here. I've never understood the LOVE for HEBs. Why???
