Yeah, the developers didn't really program a transition if Wario somehow loses the Owl without letting go of it or without taking damage. So the Owl just kind of disappears. The same thing happens if Wario is turned into a vampire while holding the Owl.

i know the water can cure any transformation of wario, but the owl ????? what? the owl hate water like a witch and disappear? XD
