Not a chance. Virtua Fighter has a tradition of always keeping its characters. The only exception to this was Taka Arashi in VF 4 and it was due to technical limitations.
27 years ago… I was about 9 or 10 at the time. lol. I actually want to try this one out for the first time. They’re smoking crack if they’re going to charge the customer 50-70 dollars. It’s an 18 yr old game. $19.99 is fair game. $30.00 for a small roster of characters is just pushing the price over the edge imo. Now cross play? For some reason I don’t see that happening unfortunately… so I take it with a huge grain of salt. But crossplay would definitely help expand the user base as that is now the standard for online gaming. Finally I don’t believe that this will be the latest VF game. I think VF6 is currently in development and they are Giving us VF 5 again to hold us over until an actual sequel gets announced.
@FighterzTv yeah crossplsy would pretty difficult to pull off since having a game that was out for more than three years in last gen hardware would be a super tough task. If VF5 REVO have a PS5 release and VF5 Ultimate showdown wasn't a thing then it could be a different scenario.
I hear rumors of 6 is comming. I hope they add fighting vipers characters to 6. They could remove some older characters, like sf does
Sega just came out and copyright striked the Midori VF6 leaks that dropped last year. That's a sign it's coming :).
@joelfamilia9989 yes I saw Rooflemonger talking about that

VF5 Ultimate Showdown was free. I'll say they'll drop it for 20.
@@joelfamilia9989 I agree.
I remember final showdown with all dlc was half the price of vf5 vanilla, so I guess they at least won't charge a full game price.
@andymangaka how much was Final Showdown with DLC?
