Ironically, this song is addressed to Haters, and this comment area seems to be flooded with Haters, that are more concerned about lack of subtitles, than the 100% POSITIVE review we gave, BTS. We love BTS, and tell people to support them, and subscribe to them, and buy their music, and we gave them a thumbs up - YET, your focal point is lyrics to a song YOU ALREADY KNOW yourselves. 🤷♂️. Baffling.

I just FOUND you guys. I am 65 years old, American, known as SILVER ARMY! These phenomenal young men have touched me in a way that none other have. Their diverse discography is just like ARMY: a little of this, a little of that, lotsa those!
I don’t know anything about you but I always check out anybody who gives BTS a listen and the RESPECT that they SOOO DESERVE. I will watch as long as you continue your journey into BTS. Their story is quite unique and so worth your time!

A few tips:
1) watch the complete video with no subs
2) watch video for 2nd time and put on English subs (sometimes lyrics are lost in translation). I google English lyrics to read again.
3) ALWAYS watch to the very END, BTS has a 2nd or 3rd “ending” in some videos
4) Comment ONLY after pausing, NOT during the performance

When we reacted to, Baby Metal, fans said dont worry about lyrics. Here, the ARMY (besides you), is all bent out of shape cause there were no subtitles. 🙄. Sometimes we use, sometimes we don't. I did read some lyrics at 11:32 , but still. They have amnesia of main point. Overall, we love BTS, gave them accolades, told people to support them, AND gave two thumbs up. Lol, and people are concerned over subtitles on screen (even though im SURE they already know the song themselves). Focus should be the Reactors visual and/or verbal reactions, not the music video. 🤷♂️. Some Reactors blur the whole video. Then what would these people say? It sometimes ridiculous.

Hi! 51 year old ARMY from UK. Just discovered your channel last night. I am really appreciating your reactions and watching you fall into the BTS rabbit hole.
Jungkook's voice is just beautiful to listen to. As an ARMY this song hits hard, the visualiser is perfect to go with the song but as with all BTS members, live performances are where they excel. If you want to see the whole group do non-choreo performances, I recommend Film Out and Your Eyes Tell, and vocal line only songs The Truth Untold and House of Cards.
Although you can appreciate songs from the sound alone, BTS lyrics and topics of songs adds a whole other level of appreciation. Also the detail in their MVs, everything has a meaning. Tazzz's understanding was not far off. They weren't really flexing, just stating facts. It is unbelievable the amount if hate they have faced (worth watching the video BTS Hardships by the way) and still do. This song was to say to their haters that they understand that haters will always hate no matter what they do so they won't pay any more attention to them, they are not needing haters to apologise to them even, they just do not worry about them anymore. The haters are represented in a lot of their videos by people in black hoodies.

You need to click the subtitles (captions for Americans) in order to understand what they are Rapping and singing about. This is a major diss track to their many haters and pointing out they have all the awards while their haters have nothing achieved nothing.
This is the Remix which is the lighter version with the world Famous EDM DJ Steve Aokia American/Japanese. He's the the DJ at the beginning.
The original is much harder and they use a live band with heavy bass rock base and it has 2 extra hard dance breaks as well.

BTS stands for BangTan Sonyeodan which means in English Bulletproof Boy Scouts. So you''ll hear them refer to themselves as BTS in English or Bangtan Sonyeondan in Korean and in songs they'll refer to themselves as Bangtan or Bulletproof.
This song hits so hard when tens of thousands people rap and sing in unison in a stadium.

If you don't speak Korean, most of the Army don't, you can always put up the closed captions. Nearly all their songs have translations available.

@@tazzznphilly I don't know Baby Metal so don't wish to cast aspersions, but maybe there is no need to read the lyrics because they are banal or pointless? In the case of BTS they are poets and excellent lyricists and it would be a loss to yourselves to miss the deep meaning of their songs.

Many of their music videos even have Explained videos (by DKDKTV), which are excellent. They’re especially helpful when listening to the rap-line songs. Enjoy! Spoon theory is referenced eg 'born with a silver spoon in your mouth' would be what we say in the UK if you are born rich and with all the privledges of money status etc. The South Korean use the same type of anology. Dirt Spoon ( born dead poor) silver spoon has some money some success and Gold spoon inherited big time money and power.
The industry people called them Dirt spoons as they came from a tiny almost bankrupt Company but look at them now their company is the bigger that the 3 major 'Gold Spoon' K pop Companies put together. They are the most awarded group in Kpop and the Biggest globe Super Group they are the only Group in the Globe Top Ten Artist List.
Shame they have haters for no reason. I said in another comment, I feel haters have such a boring and miserable life, that they want company and invitees in their club. Luckily, BTS denies the proverbial invitations.

You guys need to really make sure you have the captions on! Or choose videos with English subtitles! Their lyrics are so good! You must experience it with the lyrics. Most of their songs are mostly in Korean and they have some really great songs in Japanese as well, so please remember to get their videos with English subtitles.

BTS faced a lot of hate, discrimination, sabotage through out their career and still do. When they didn't win any award, people said they don't have award, when they start winning award, people said it's not as much as other group, when they won lots and lots of award, people said it's not organic. There's always hate for them. So this is for those haters.
For me, BTS always have different sound. My all time favourite song from BTS are not today and pied piper but the song that surprised me are house of cards and 134340 (both don't have mvs, only live performance).
Appreciate your insight on them. It annoys me that they get so many haters...and for no good reason. If people dont like them - just don't watch or listen to them. 🤷♂️.

Two thirds of the track was uninterrupted English so I am unclear why the language emphasis. Further when I view foreign films I always read the subtitles as part of the engagement. P.S. BTS arose from a small corporation unlike many of the fellow groups who benefited by emerging in large, powerful corporations who flexed privilege for their artists. Hence dirt versus golden spoons.
I get what you are saying, but little secret - we are not all clones. What you might do with foreign films, I might not. With music videos, I don't want to miss the emotions in their faces, or their amazing choreo, cause im busy reading lyrics. As long as the song moves me, and i end up liking the Musician because of it, then EVERYONE wins.

When you guys watch videos from other countries it's just a given nowadays that there is captioning. Do you think that when other countries listen to American songs they don't have captioning? These boys are songwriters, producers, and before they put out anything they have consultations with language experts, culrural experts etc. etc.

You need to switch on the english subtitles. BTS are known for their lyrics. To miss the lyrics is to miss 60% of the fun. There are much better lyric translations available on the mv. So put in BTS MIKE DROP ENG SUBTITLES. ...on an mv if the subs still do not come up you press cc.

It's not a sample, they credit any samples they use. They have subtitles, so you could use them next time. BTS doesn't do mumble rap, and they are very eloquent and speak clearly. RM's part was fully in english except for one phrase, "Damn Happy". This is basically a song to their haters, and they only flex with Facts. They deserve every thing that they have earned, and BTS has a lot of haters, so they use their music to send messages.

As an older Army I recommend Xceleste introduction to BTS, it is more factual & also her video on BTS Hardships. Xceleste has been a fan from the beginning the Bangtan 7 video sells the narrative rather than reporting the actual.

I cant speak for other Reactors, but we dont focus on views and subscribers. Know why? Because if we focus on supporting the Musicians, who give us all the gift of music appreciation, then the views and/or subscriptions will come organically. We genuinely respect and appreciate music around the world. Don't ASS-ume you know us.

Baby Metal fans said to NOT worry about lyrics. Cant please everyone. Sometimes we have them on, sometimes not. The FOCUS is we gave positive reviews to them, and we love their music, and we encourage people to support them. Focus on the goal.
