As a non native English speaker this game taught me a lot of the language. Also me and my sister was always terrified that we choose an option that would end the game or make him go to a place that we didn't want to. We were always guessing what was the meaning of some words.
I remember this mainly with CGA graphics and PC speaker for sound. It was pretty creative the sfx they used for certain things, lol Thinking about it, this is kind of like a precursor to the Sims.
Thank you so much for this video!
I remember my daughter playing this one. Cant we just go back to those slower times ? 😢😢 She just turned 31😢❤❤

I played the demo version of this game on the very first computer I owned. Glad to finally see the full thing 30 years later...lol
God, this brings me back. I remember whenever Mickey went on the elevator, my computer would crash. I wish I could play this game again.

Spent hours playing this as a kid. We had the IBM disney PC that came with a bunch of these games.
This games bring me back to my childhood. So fun and easy things were then
Damn, sometimes I forget how not having a sound card in that first computer was kind of a blessing
I loved this game as a child ;_; these sound effects make me no longer wonder why I like AMSR so much as an adult haha
Wow, I haven't seen this game in years
0:36 One fine day, Mickey woke up and wrote a letter to Goofy.
Then he wrote a letter to Goofy.

I definitely know it can be played with PC Speaker, and there were also EGA and Tandy modes, but I didn't know about a CGA mode.
@@nostalgivault3439 I might have meant EGA. The main difference I remember was that Mickey's face was white instead of the real color
@@nthgth Yep I gave that one a play: th-cam.com/video/jI-EmOs5Itw/w-d-xo.html
As in, playing a day in the life of someone else? I can see why.
9:10 "Okay, Michael, I'll see you at the meeting on Monday."
Possibly Eisner?
Hey, who better than him?
Most implied to be then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner since Mickey is formally named Michael as well.
I was trying to explain the game to my husband. All I could remember the game stopped when he went out and the "hehe, extra cheese".
