Hi Mr. Michalzik, thanks for your question. This is not so easy answer to explain as my strumming changes throughout the song. The beginning of the song is loosely a mute down strum. D,D,D,D,D,D,D,D,U, Repeat… this pattern gives it a bass guitar feel. When I strum the chords I’m loosely playing a D,U,D,D,D,D,U,D. This song is a standard 4/4 count 8th note strumming pattern with many variations. There really is no right or wrong way to strum this song. You’ll need to find a pattern that works for you and run with it. I hope this helps.

I think your missing the point of my channel sir. I take songs that have some challenging chords and simplify them so beginners can pick up the song easily. My title reads “easy guitar tutorial and cover”. If the title read “Hard guitar tutorial and cover” beginners wouldn’t watch and experience players (such as yourself) shouldn’t expect to learn anything. With that said, I’ll subscribe to your channel and wait for your tutorial on how it’s supposed to be played. I’d also encourage any one reading this comment to also follow your channel to see how it’s supposed to be done!
@@myacousticlounge I don't make videos on how it is supposed to be played. There is no benefit in that for me. However, I can play this particular song correctly. And if someone is taking the time to make a video, they should play it correctly. This is not a hard song.

@@myacousticlounge Well of course there is a lot of fingerpicking at the beginning. Picking that matches the melody. That is a major part of the song and should be included. Without that, I think the playing of the song is missing quite a lot. I don't have to tell you "how it's done", as you can easily listen to the recording yourself.
