Sir, When moving from Q1 ON to Q1 off ( Q2 is OFF in both cases) , freewheeling happens in o/p side. In my view that should happen only through D2 because the induced voltage in the secondary side blue coil will be with minus potential on dot side ( similar to forward converor )... Then most of the free wheeling current should flow through D2 only.... Then flux will not remain constant at phymax. Kindly correct me if I am wrong...

can someone explain where does the magnetizing current flow when both switches are off? It shall go through the secondary side during off time.

Never mind i read a very good book and it explained magnetizing energy is fed back to the source at every period.

Thank you verry much. i would to design an adjustable HV (0-30kv) cascade buck push-pull (voltage feed) power supply. is it possible to guide me with docs for the calculations? because in the web i founde just a fix voltage output. thanks

Hi Professor, thank you very much for the explanation. I have a question 25:48. I would like to know what is the voltage that sees one of the transistors when they both are off. Literature says that it is Vin, but I do not know where that comes from. Once again, thank you. Greetings from Colombia.

I have one doubt, not sure will be answered still asking: Why is inductor L required in output.?? I understand to store energy but isn't it in real life its just adding some extra resistance ??

There must be some impedance to define the current in the secondary. If the secondary is just connected to a grounded capacitor it will present a very low impedance to the primary side. This is because there is nothing to limit the secondary currents, and they will cancel the B field created by the primary currents. That means the primary side will look like a short / low impedance. As expected, the "transformer" reflects the secondary impedance back to the primary.
