Beautiful. By the way, the tabla player is Ustad Sukhvinder Singh (Pinky), one of the greatest living tabla players. He should be mentioned in the description.

This is nothing but the divine RAGA DURGA. Its swaras bring about a presence of the eternal presence of the OMNIPRESENT AND OMNISCIENT ALLMIGHTY.

? Do you have some misplaced emotion that you were angered to see someone recognizing Her. She , apart from anything is source of pure love and protection, and that’s why people got refuge in HER. Get your datas and information right. She has done much more for humanity than you could ever think of.

you havent done your homework and you come to fight without armours and swords. the last thing on earth is She not knowing about music. And who are you to ask, what is your contribution to classical music. Because of Her thousands of Indians and foreigners have taken to Indian classical music, kawwalis, dance forms, fine arts

What a pity that you can appreciate the music, the musician, and not the Muse. the greatest art is the making of Realised Souls. Shri Mataji had an appreciation of Indian music and yes the greatest names in Indian Music did play for Her, and some like Nishat Khan recognised Her divinity and were inspired to write in Her honour. You might pay to look into Her legacy. LOL pavan

. And go and ask Ghulam Mustafa, bismillah khan, shiv kumar Sharma, hari prasaad chaurasia, debu chaudhari, rajendra prasanna, wadali brothers, whether they were all forced to do lip service or it was her genuine love for their Music. Who are you man, where do you come from. Why did you venture to speak something you don’t know?

I agree. This tamasha has been going on for some time now. You see posters of unmusical holy besuras like saibaba and others displayed in the backdrop of great artists performing whose families have spent centuries developing their art. Classical music in India has for a long time now been a means to displaying hinduism and hindu deities.

Composition is good ....but Nishat Khan ji ..you are very very close to Ustad Amjad Ali khans Raag Durga composition .

This is an Imdadkhani bandish, since both learnt/play gayaki ang, there are similarities. I believe Nishat's father Ut. Imrat Khan composed this for sitar.

There did not seem to be any coordination between the Sitar and the tabla. It would have been better for a simple theka than all the complex cleverness shown by the tablist. And Nishat Khan Sahib would be much better to watch without his exaggerated head movements. But beautiful Sitar. Thanks.
