Hi Ozzie, I too have the model that has the click-break type of settings, and it is invaluable for all type of gun works, but mostly scope mounting( for me ).
The selection of bits that come with it are good, but folks can pick up whatever bits they wish for their specific jobs. The bits are 1/4 inch.
These are great and compact tools. you are correct.

Dont know if you guys cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few days :)

Would be great if the digital model also had the click/break function as well as the beep.

Cheers for the review Ozzie. ive been considering buying some sort of torque wrench for a while but didnt know where to start looking for one that would do the smaller torque settings required for firearms parts. I have purchased one of the digital models. very happy with it. For anyone that dosent have the budget for this wrench Wheeler also do an analog (click at required setting) model for around the $100-$110 au

I got the old wheeler fat wrench and there great, but I prefer the wrenches that clicks through the selected setting of torque it just simply won’t allow you to go any further = FAIL SAFE....but great review as always mate!!

Yeah I regret buying the digital one, that mechanical click sure makes me feel more confident when I need to torque something.

D01100010 I also bought the digital version and regret not having bought the basic version for the same reasons.

Got mine today. Not a happy chappie. The 3mm bit to torque scope rings is allmost 2.5mm

I think you meant to say 2 Newton meters (around 18-inch pounds) not 2-inch pounds for the scope mount?

    Great video, thanks ozzie

I thought scope rings are suppose to be torked to 15 to 18 inch pounds and you did yours to 2 inch pounds.

My only issue with the analog click and break torque wench is how do you go exact in between torque settings again once you need it next time ...say 18 in.lb and that will not be as exact the last time I had set it. The graduated lines are only by fives.

The details in Amazon state the wrench is accurate from 15 to 100 inch pounds. I see you torque scope base screws to 2 inch pounds. How accurate is the driver when it’s that far out of range?

I had the wrench set to Nm (as per the video) as the measurement but accidentally said inch pounds

What size fittings are the bits?

Hey ozzie, does the wrench just have torque bits generally used for firearm parts? I'd hate to buy one and it have a bit thats too big for certain scope rings.

    • @shaunjohnston2091
      @shaunjohnston2091 7 ปีที่แล้ว

LAFO 1640 it uses standard 1/4 inch fitting from memory... so any bit set should fit in CSS the supplied bits are not perfect for your specific purpose
