Possibly one of the best line side locations for filming on the West Coast Mainline, Linslade Curve, which is just north of Leighton Buzzard. Decided to stop off for just over half hour during dusk on a mild, August evening. Always a good vantage point to catch Pendo's & Voyagers tilting. During the first part of the video the fast lines were open, however as normal on a Saturday evening, Network Rail take possession of 2 of the 4 lines for routine weekend engineering. So this weekend the fast lines were closed, meaning that during the latter part of the video you'll notice all traffic on the slow lines.
A good variety of trains, considering I was only there just over half an hour.
INCLUDES: Virgin Pendolino's & Voyagers, London Midland 350's, GBRF 66, DB Schenker 66 and class 37! (37800) dragging a South Eastern class 375 to Wolverton works for refurbishment!
Not bad going for half an hour on a Saturday evening.

The class 37 pulling a 375 was cool! The class 37 has a very nice ALCO-reminiscent motor sound!
2days ago I went there for 2 and a half hours and saw
DB schenker 66 on van train
loads of 66s on containor trains
2 86s on a containor train
and a GB rail freight class 73 !!!!

On my tablet I can only get up to 720P, but on my laptop I can watch at 1080p. I also have 1440p but the video freezes when I do that

Does the WCML have dedicated tracks for 200km/h-capable trains so that slower (120-160km/h) trains don't interfere with their performance?
The WCML has “fast” & “slow” lines. Fast lines for trains doing 110 & 125mph. Slow lines for stoppers, but line speed is still 100mph in places.

Fantastic stuff. I'm pouring over google maps to try to determine exactly where you were situated, but am struggling to work it out - not obvious what public right of way gets you there. Can you advise?

I prefer this to Go Ogle maps, it shows railway lines much better.

The 375 was going to wolverton for refurb.
