All the members are funny in their own ways. Siyoon's naive character is what makes him funny, so I totally disagree with some fans saying Siyoon lacks the ability. The combination of the six members is absolutely perfect. Everyone has their own share of making the show very entertaining.
Oh my gosh AlphaO! I love when they show him. I am definitely a fan of him. I wish all the members would have been able to greet the lady at the market that loved the show. She seemed like such a genuine fan and I loved how she said the show gave her energy.
being funny isn't necessarily about making jokes , Donggu has a great sence of humour by being himself, quiet, naive. his personality suits the show and everybody is funny in their own way, not everyone is the same. That's it, i really can't help it anymore, i'm so attached to the Donggu/JJY bromance. They all laughed when DG said Jeju-do food is nice, and Defconn joked that he should be more funny, but JJY subtly defended him and i loved it more than i should. It's not like Defconn was being mean, they were all just teasing but idk. I just found it really sweet to see JJY quietly back him up. That's partly what i love about this show though, It's nice to see that they're all genuinely friends.

what's wrong with Dong Gu? he's hardworking and nice and i like him the way he is 😁. And Joon young? he's kinda bit of a tsundere 😂😂 He looks hard outside yet soft inside. Everybody has their own opinion and I think it is not exaggerated. Even in this episode, the grandma and the viewer commented Siyoon is not funny although they like him too. Siyoon already knows this...that's why he tried so hard to be funny and Jongmin commented "but it back-fired." I know that many are supporting Siyoon, but we are international fans...I just hope Korean fans feel the same way. Ofcourse I like him too and I accept him the way he is but just like I've said before, Siyoon cannot please everybody and I just hope he will not get affected by some people criticizing him. Anyway, I think the reason why Siyoon has little screen time is because he is not funny enough, I noticed the camera mostly just focused on him are in games, being sweet with the other members, and when he make cute expressions. I really like the way he laughs and I think you already read my comment when I said I really like his expressive face too (like a walking meme.) I already watched the next episode and I felt he even got very little screen time than before...I won't spoil it but you'll know once you already watch it.

the granny at 19:37 is totally 2D1N fan and she is amazing...she even know Taehyun's child and Donggu. Defconn just can't stop worrying and Junho is famous around the divers lady. it's a plot twist when the lady feed the sea urchin to Taehyun...lol i read a lot people complaint about the staff should be firm and harsh to the members and let them starve. if you notice, they are firm and harsh at early time when Yoo Ilyong takeover, but a lot of people complaint that he shouldn't be harsh to them and to let them eat, they even calling him as not flexible or too strict. that was why he loosen a bit and let the loser eat too...but now people complaint that he should let them starve.
I think many international fans started watching because of Siyoon, including me, but we came to love all of the cast so Siyoon's role is more important than being funny, he brings viewers and he is funny from time to time which as a fan for me is enough

Usually he makes me smile because of his brightness but this is the first time he made me laugh so loud and he even did it unintentionally :P Kidding aside, he must be so tired...the poor cute thing! Anyway, for me...it doesn't matter if he is funny or not, he is fine just the ways he is :D Defconn teasing Siyoon is kinda funny (as requested by a viewer) but Joon-Young defending Siyoon is my favorite scene. It's like Siyoon is the sweet, naive Maknae that gets bullied but the real Maknae who's supposed to the the real bully is defending him :P
Every time i try to decide on my favourite member, i get stuck.They all have their place and they work well together so there's not one who is the leader of the pack. Donggu isn't intentionally funny but he doesn't need to be cause there are others who will do that. They all bring something different to the table and that's why i love 2d1n. I can't get into a lot of the variety shows where the cast all have big, loud, similar personalities. It's too much all at once for me, i feel a little overwhelmed. But this cast quietly plays off each other and let's everyone say their piece. It's nice.

You are right, the other members are already funny so I think Siyoon also just give balance to the show by just being himself. Clumsy but can win games when they least expect it and vice versa, being bright and sweet to the other members, being attentive to the elders (for example helping Junho take off his sweater and in this episode helping Jongmin). We can't help but love him, he's too adorable! All the members seem like nice people but JJY was the only one who really filled the 'sweet' role (and i think he prefers to be subtle about that anyway, so he can keep his slightly rebellious role haha), but now we have Dong Gu who's just like a little puppy. Sometimes confused and uncertain, sometimes excitable and enthusiastic, but always adorable af. They do a great job showcasing S.Korea with this show though, they should be proud! I mean, they even make a simple market look like a great tourist destination :D

I rewatched the ep recently, where they go to see SY's grandparents and he tears up there, it's just too precious! I want to give him such a big hug. I started watching this show when 2D1N had Hwarang as their guest and then Park Bo-gum. At that time I didn't know anyone and I'm thankful for that or else I couldn't know whom to cheer for. Then one day I spotted Joonyoung and later on Siyoon. I watched this show because I found both of them handsome. Then I spotted Taehyun; I like his laugh. Then Junho and Defconn. And not to forget Juhyeok. And later the staff like PD Yoo Hojin and PD Yoo ilyong and others they brought for games. Now I watch this show for the cast and the staff; and I couldn't like them to change; not even one of them.
before, international audience kept on complaining that donngu isn't funny. now that he's doing good sokor audience are still complaining. but for me, donngu is doing extremely good and he's now blending well with other members. oppa, fighting! you're doing perfectly fine. keep it up! and i love how the grandma knows the members' name very well. she even mention the return of superman. :)

You should give it to him, he's the only serious actor on this show while the others are legit comedians and funny actor. If you watch the latest episode, Junho said he told the director many times to cut off Donggu because "he does not belong here". I don't know if he meant it as a joke but somehow I felt like he was serious about it.

There are times where Si Yoon is naturally funny and makes witty comments. It's just that the other's level of being funny are higher than his, as well as his serious and dedicated nature, which probably explains why people think he's boring.
The most important thing is that Siyoon is doing his best and being sincere. With so many funny characters like Jongmin and Junho, Siyoon gives a refreshing vibe. He shouldn't change himself.

what's wrong with Dong Gu? he's hardworking and nice and i like him the way he is 😁. And Joon young? he's kinda bit of a tsundere 😂😂 He looks hard outside yet soft inside. Love it when he defended Dong gu while attacking Deffcon 😂😂😂😂 and especially when he hands over the water bottle to the lady who chose the fish sauce.😍
Above all else i love this show so much, like the grandma said it gives me energy and happiness every week. It would be nice if they also choose an international fan 😂😂😂😂.
xenon 0000----I also like Dong Gu the way he is but some people (if not many) doesn't find him funny. Some even wants him to quit the show. Dong Gu already knows this and I have a feeling he will quit after finishing his 2 years contract. I think he is such a kind-hearted guy and he will leave the show if he thinks he is just being a burden to the other members by not being funny. Everybody has their own opinion and I think it is not exaggerated. Even in this episode, the grandma and the viewer commented Siyoon is not funny although they like him too. Siyoon already knows this...that's why he tried so hard to be funny and Jongmin commented "but it back-fired." I know that many are supporting Siyoon, but we are international fans...I just hope Korean fans feel the same way. Ofcourse I like him too and I accept him the way he is but just like I've said before, Siyoon cannot please everybody and I just hope he will not get affected by some people criticizing him. Anyway, I think the reason why Siyoon has little screen time is because he is not funny enough, I noticed the camera mostly just focused on him are in games, being sweet with the other members, and when he make cute expressions. I really like the way he laughs and I think you already read my comment when I said I really like his expressive face too (like a walking meme.) I already watched the next episode and I felt he even got very little screen time than before...I won't spoil it but you'll know once you already watch it.

And about Donggu.. we'll never know until he get there. 😁😁 Others don't seem to find him funny, but he has his own character in the show. I honestly don't like him at first but as the time goes on, we can really see that he works hard and improves a lot too-- that alone is a well deserved reason to like him 😊😊.. i read a lot people complaint about the staff should be firm and harsh to the members and let them starve. if you notice, they are firm and harsh at early time when Yoo Ilyong takeover, but a lot of people complaint that he shouldn't be harsh to them and to let them eat, they even calling him as not flexible or too strict. that was why he loosen a bit and let the loser eat too...but now people complaint that he should let them starve.
I think many international fans started watching because of Siyoon, including me, but we came to love all of the cast so Siyoon's role is more important than being funny, he brings viewers and he is funny from time to time which as a fan for me is enough

Ahahahaha! I don't want to be mean but....Siyoon sleeping with his mouth wide open whahahaha! Usually he makes me smile because of his brightness but this is the first time he made me laugh so loud and he even did it unintentionally :P Kidding aside, he must be so tired...the poor cute thing! Anyway, for me...it doesn't matter if he is funny or not, he is fine just the ways he is :D Defconn teasing Siyoon is kinda funny (as requested by a viewer) but Joon-Young defending Siyoon is my favorite scene. It's like Siyoon is the sweet, naive Maknae that gets bullied but the real Maknae who's supposed to the the real bully is defending him :P
Every time i try to decide on my favourite member, i get stuck.They all have their place and they work well together so there's not one who is the leader of the pack. Donggu isn't intentionally funny but he doesn't need to be cause there are others who will do that. They all bring something different to the table and that's why i love 2d1n. I can't get into a lot of the variety shows where the cast all have big, loud, similar personalities. It's too much all at once for me, i feel a little overwhelmed. But this cast quietly plays off each other and let's everyone say their piece. It's nice.
Jess---I agree....everybody has their own charm. But I have to admit Siyoon is my favorite member because of his pleasant face and personality. You are right, the other members are already funny so I think Siyoon also just give balance to the show by just being himself. Clumsy but can win games when they least expect it and vice versa, being bright and sweet to the other members, being attentive to the elders (for example helping Junho take off his sweater and in this episode helping Jongmin). I also like his expressive face and actions...he's like a walking Meme :P He is also knowledgeable. Anyway, I think this show is not just for laughs but also to promote the food and beauty of Korea. We can't help but love him, he's too adorable! All the members seem like nice people but JJY was the only one who really filled the 'sweet' role (and i think he prefers to be subtle about that anyway, so he can keep his slightly rebellious role haha), but now we have Dong Gu who's just like a little puppy. Sometimes confused and uncertain, sometimes excitable and enthusiastic, but always adorable af.
They do a great job showcasing S.Korea with this show though, they should be proud! I mean, they even make a simple market look like a great tourist destination :D

Well maybe not haha, i don't think any of them would want to be doing this that long (although Jongmin's well on his way xD ) but i don't want to think about them splitting up yet, they make such a good team! I started after Joohyuk left (although i'm working my way through the whole of s3) so i haven't had to deal with the sadness of a beloved member leaving yet (and hopefully not for a while).
I rewatched the ep recently, where they go to see SY's grandparents and he tears up there, it's just too precious! I want to give him such a big hug. And JJY's return will always be a firm favourite of mine, SY got so cute and excited then. He's definitely got the 'sweet' role sorted

I started watching this show when 2D1N had Hwarang as their guest and then Park Bo-gum. At that time I didn't know anyone and I'm thankful for that or else I couldn't know whom to cheer for.
Then one day I spotted Joonyoung and later on Siyoon. I watched this show because I found both of them handsome. Then I spotted Taehyun; I like his laugh. Then Junho and Defconn. And not to forget Juhyeok. And later the staff like PD Yoo Hojin and PD Yoo ilyong and others they brought for games.
Now I watch this show for the cast and the staff; and I couldn't like them to change; not even one of them.
As a fan of 2days & 1 night I cant wait till next weekend!

I started watching this show because of Donggu, he keeps games interesting, and I think he's keeping things in balance. You should give it to him, he's the only serious actor on this show while the others are legit comedians and funny actor. There are times where Si Yoon is naturally funny and makes witty comments. It's just that the other's level of being funny are higher than his, as well as his serious and dedicated nature, which probably explains why people think he's boring.
The most important thing is that Siyoon is doing his best and being sincere. With so many funny characters like Jongmin and Junho, Siyoon gives a refreshing vibe. He shouldn't change himself.
