we're a halfer house. school school part of the week, more for socializing. and home school. simply bc we have a lot of medical.. but i've been struggling lately. i found this video. now i'm refreshed to go again. so thank you for reminding me.
Thanks for sharing.. it's encouraging to see another mamá in real life... I watch your videos..when I feel discouraged... Gives me what I need to keep going... 👍.. I'm homeschooling 2 kids... 11 and 6.. it's not easy... But I'm hanging in there... Thanks again for the videos
I loved this so much!!!!!!!! It’s hard to put in words why I loved it so much…I just loved seeing your children playing, I love the rhythm of your home, it reminds me a lot of ours too. So chill and real I just loved it thank you for sharing your life with us ❤
I think your DITL are my favorite. So real, so honest. Not a show. Just real glimpses into your homeschool day. I can't believe Slap is three!!!! Beautiful family, Christie. I know it's not perfect, but you are doing good. Keep going!
Loved your video friend!! ❤ thanks for sharing! Would you mind letting me know which math you have your younger daughter using? Your daughter in the lavender shirt :)
Great timing! Today is our last day of "fall break" after a week off for Halloween and two early November birthdays. Back to it tomorrow and the motivation is much appreciated.
Where do they eat breakfast if the school work is laid out? I like the idea of having it all set out and ready to go but the table is where we eat in the morning.
We have an eating bar that they'll eat at, or on the other side of the table! The kids sort of eat at their own leisure before school so very rarely are all of us eating at the same time!
My boyfriend and I recently started contemplating homeschooling. His daughter (our daughter, but just to remove any confusion. I didn't lay her but I claim her) is currently in 3rd grade, but due to the divorce between her parents right when she started kindergarten and covid, she is still operating mostly at a first grade level and in some areas at a kindergarten level. She also has ADHD(possibly dyslexia, but she has not been formally tested on the dyslexia), so she struggles with reading and finds grammar or really anything to do with language arts annoying. Everytime she goes to school, it's a coin flip on whether she comes home having a good day or a bad day. I have made some progress with her since I came into the picture, working on her with her reading(she now reads multiple chapters and sometimes finishes entire books in a single day! 🎉🎉🎉) so she feels more confident. But she struggles with some words that don't follow standard English language rules. She gets bullied by some of the other kids at school because she is behind and it kills her confidence. She loves math and science, regularly asking me questions like "why don't we just float off the earth" and "why does oil float on water". I feel like schools are judging her by making her climb a tree when she is a fish, and I can see her self confidence breaking and starting to dislike herself for being her "fish" self. I have so many questions and concerns, because I want to make sure I'm doing the best for her. Like for instance, do you go through your books from front to back like reading a book? How do you address science? Do you combine their lesson plans with outside activities on some days? Her father and I are not religious(that is, we don't believe in organized religion) and we made the agreement that we want her to develop and learn her own relationship with God. Sadly, we live in a state where most of the homeschooling groups I have found are religious based and the ones that aren't are co-op and expect fees to be paid. I would just love a group where I can go to talk with other homeschooling parents, ask questions and have that sense of camaraderie for the bad days and celebration for her breakthroughs!
Do you have any videos that explain or highlight the Dennison math program? We are on the struggle bus for math this year!! We attempted Algebra 1 & and it was not going well, so I thought to back up and re-visit concepts from Pre-Algebra and it’s still not going well 😭I’m looking into other curriculums.
I really wish night zookeeper would have worked for us.. I don't understand why I could never get passed the login portion. I tried for a week. I was very disappointed.. The costumer service was great though.. Three days within that week we tried, with the help of customer service and still got no where. I don't know except it must have not been meant to be for us to use... 🤷♀️
@@OneBlessedMess No, explanation.. Customer service was very nice and patient to walk me through for 3 days.. But I gave up after trying for the week free trial. I thought if it's this hard to login I obviously didn't want to take a chance to purchase it..
Good morning, Mamas! ☕️ I hope you enjoy today's video! Be sure to check out Night Zookeeper as a fun and safe language arts game for your kiddos! ❤
What a blessing you are to the homeschooling mommas like us! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤

Oh no!! Surely there had to have been an explanation?? We have not had any login issues. I'm so sorry it didn't work for you!
