I absolutely love going out, and playing with my guys, and ladys in the morning. I'm 18, a goaltender, the people in that group oldest is 85. Sure they arent the fastest, or can't shoot the puck super hard anymore, while some can. They learn to place their shots better than most kids my age, as you get older you get wiser. Still one of my faves. A beast!
I'll be watching his ceremonies with great emotions.
Don’t forget about Nagano, a huge moment for everyone in that ’98 Czech team. Jágr was one of the pillars.
True, but Hašek carried that team. 6 games, 0.97 GAA und 0.961 SV%. These numbers are simply out of this world.
Those numbers in 05-06 are franchise records that still stand in NY. He dragged the team on his back to relevancy at the time before Lundqvist did
Of all the player profile videos you've done, this is the one I was looking for the most. 😎👍
One of the strangest stats & this was before Mario came out of retirement in 2001.
Jagr had assisted on exactly 66 of Lemieux’s goals and Lemieux had assisted on exactly 68 of Jagr’s goals: their respective uniform numbers.
Love weird stats like this! Thanks for providing it
When I watched jagr ,he's a smart player
As a panthers fan, that 2015-16 season was nothing short of spectacular to watch and he was one of the main guys to get me into the sport of hockey. I will always be a Jagr fan and he is on my personal Mount Rushmore of hockey.
At this point it's pretty much Howe, Gretzky, Jagr, and Ovechkin if you want to pick just 4 guys. Add Lemieux and Brodeur (and maybe Hull) if you don't limit the number.
@@dfp_01 Ovechkin over Lemieux and Crosby??
@@GoatzelEnjoyer Certainly over Crosby, but it's a toss-up between him and Lemieux for that fourth spot for sure
@@dfp_01 Crosby is and has been better thsn ovi. Sid plays all around a LOT better than ovi and Sid has rocket awards too. Ovi doesnt have as good skill to make everyone else better. Sids leadership is just amazing. Ovi is best goal scorer but does he beat Crosby in every other aspect? No imo. I might be a biased pens fan. You hear ppl talk about Crosby being top 5 all time but i dont hear ovi being talked as top 5 of all time.
Crosby has 2 conn smythes and he is the guy of big games.
Gotta give HUGE props for ovi tho. Amazing player snd has stayed ridiculously healthy. But i think sid has barely any weaknesses and ovi has bit more weak spots in his game.
This video was fun. Go Jagr
My favorite player as a kid - a pleasant surprise to see this video now😂
One of the all-time greats, who very well may continue playing hockey until he's under the ground...and maybe even after that.
He'll play for the Afterlife Hockey League
@@dfp_01 AHL
Have always been a Jagr fan since day one, even though I hated Pittsburgh. When he became a Panther I could not have been happier. Without question, he turned both Barkov and Hubredeau into the players they are today. A fun loving good natured guy who is one of the greatest ever. Forever a Jagr fan.
Also, Jagr with one of the most glorious mullets ever.
His tenure didn't work here in Calgary, but Jagr is my favorite player of all time, and getting to have a Jagr Flames jersey still makes me hapoy
How did I miss this?? I’ve been hoping you’ll do a Jagr video for a while now. Jagr is an absolute legend.
If Jagr never left the NHL he'd be right up there with Gretzky (points wise) IMHO. Incredible that he is still playing professional hockey. 1 of the most electrifying players to ever lace up a pair of skates.
Gretzky has 42 more assists than Jags has points. Even if he plays the entire time in the NHL he would still be 500-600pts behind
@@jasonhackworth3502 Wayne was on a dynasty please
Mario only played 900 games though
@@jasonhackworth3502 Thanks Cpt. Obvious! Like I said, *IF* Jagr played his whole career in the NHL he'd be right up there with Gretzky for points. Don't forget Gretzky also played a big chunk of his career on a dynasty team during a time when goalies didn't drop to the ice. I prolly could have averaged 20 goals/season during those years LoL
@@hugh2hoob668 If Mario never battled his health he would be on par, or surpass Gretzky's totals.
What a great video. Nice work. Jagr is much favorite player to never wear a wings jersey. Thanks for this one.
He must have stellar genetics. Astonishing.
Cheers 🍺
Jagr has done over a thousand leg squats a day for the majority of his life. Im not suprised hes still playing at all. 👍😎
Nice to see an underrated unknown player get the spotlight. :P
I miss the salute after he scored...priceless.
The Mullet! I love the guy!
I was such a jagr fan growing up. Collected everyone of his hockey cards back then lol.
Jagr is the same age as my mom. He is a legend for being able to play that long.
The history videos are always my favorite… thanks!
Remember watching a blues game in his last stint in the nhl and he’d be half off the bench w the staff rolling and massaging massaging his legs. Was cool to see the the respect from both benches.
The Jagr is a legend.
My friends and I used to talk about Jagr when we were in middle school. This year is our 20 year reunion. He is still playing. 🤯
He IS playing - just for You - to Have something to Talk about !
Lifelong Kings fan but Jagr has always been my favorite player.
GKG
He uses a second white board. Awesome. It's like hockey-reference, where Jagr's numbers are broken up by a second header.
Way in the future when his career is finally done, and you do another Jagr video, you will need to wear each of his jerseys and a mullet😉
Awesome vid, Jagr’s been my favorite player ever since playing as him on Backyard Hockey 06
Man. What a marathon.
Love the Kladno jersey!!
Can't believe he's still going
I live in Czech so I actually get to watch Jagr live on TV occasionally (they tend to only show one game a week on TV).
How IS Hockey there - any GOOD ?
i have seen him play few times this season, still a force on the ice
Amazing player. Glad I saw him play after coming back.
Jagr should come back to play in the NHL... Go Jagr Bomb!
You could have also titled this video the long and winding career of Jaromir jagr's hair (which is still growing)
Thank you my dear Shannon. This video was epic indeed!
P.S. in '90 I was the only 18-year-old in the Top 10 for Calder voting. Ed Belfour won the Calder that year and he was 25.
he's 52 now and still playing, love the guy..
The time period when I was as big a hockey fanatic as I've ever been was in the 90's, and I really feel like I was spoiled. Watching guys like Gretzky, Lemieux, Jagr, Selanne, Yzerman, Fedorov, Bure, Hull and Coffey, all in their primes, was amazing. These are some of the best players, if not the best players in history, and after those guys left, it just hasn't been the same. I have long viewed Jagr as like the last link to my childhood. What an amazing player, and I consider it a privilege to have watched him grow and mature as his career went on.
I still have my autographed puck, he definitely is a leader and inspiration for ANY team he played on, rather they went deep into the playoffs or not. The guys the definition of the term beast.
My 1st and All-Time Favorite non-Blackhawks player that I really started following. The Great One and SuperMario were already legends. Jagr started roughly when I found the NHL. Jagr = Legend. (Patrick in Chicago)
I feel bad for Jaromir that he only has another 5 to 10 years left in the tank.
People talk about Ovechkin fighting Father Time but Jagr is the master
@@dfp_01 Father time asks Jagr for tips.
Wow Cenním dres ! He’s still play hockey! What man. What career. Nice videos
Just to think I was 6 years old when he was first got in the league, I learned how to love hockey because have and the pens are my favorite team.
THG the goat!! I watch and listen to your videos everyday 😊
It was the hair
The hair gave him power of the gods!
**Gardner Minshew has entered the chat**
A sure-fire hall of famer when he finally retires
They should have inducted him after 25 years like they did with Bettman lol
in the early 90's, there was a huge card show @ Pacific Coliseum. My Brother and I went. Jagr was @ the show, my Brother met him. Got 2 cards signed, I still have them both.
66 and 68 were my two favorite athletes of all time in any sport
I'm super happy he played in Calgary. He didn't gel, (which is hard in Cgy it seems)but it was nice having his experience and knowledge.
Some are playing hockey for the first time at 56, love going to play with them, they put a smile on my face, and I put one on theirs. Everybody wins when everyones happy
For your next career video can you do the career of Bobby Orr? As a Bruins fan that would make me so happy and considering you're a Bruins fan too that one should be fun for you
When Jagr finally retires, he should replace Bettman. He's already worn half the Jerseys in the NHL. Who better to represent hockey?
TWO WHITEBOARDS?? Is that a first for a THG video?
Also, Jagr is actually a Time Lord.
for a career video lol 2 boards and 21 min video
That jersey is great advertising for why advertising shouldn't be on a jersey.
...think Gretzky's up for a game of pick-up hockey...?
It's worth mentioning that he got injured while with Calgary. He was doing decent enough before given his age but after coming back really struggled
I loved having Jagr on the Devils. Was very upset we traded him, even though it just wasn't clicking that season
Two words as to why: Adam Oates
While his time in Calgary was very short , his affect on the younger players was immeasurable .
Thank You so much !
I remember going to the Bruins game vs the Devils when it was Jagr's first game as a Bruin. I tried to get a Jagr bruins shirt but they sold out by the end of the first period.
