honestly since the release of s3 and 4 and the reveal that there are other humans on the planet in aot, i think god eater's world is probably even more dark tbh. Like there are literally only like a million humans or something in existence right in god eater?
For everyone here who saw the anime and wants more, then I really recomend playing the games. I recently played GE1 and now I am playing GE2. They are both so so rich in regards to the story (the gameplay is great too) that it's as if I'm playing an anime. Best gaming experiences I've ever had, and one of the best stories I've ever "watched" (more like took part in). I too wished for season 2 and then decided to buy the first two games. After finishing GE1 (it's also called ressurection now) I thought no game could surpass it, both in story and gameplay. And then I started GE2 (it's also called rage burst now) and it is everything GE1 was and even more! They managed to improve the original by a lot both in gameplay and story. I bought them from steam (if you buy GE2 rage burst you get GE1 ressurection as a bonus) if you are wondering.
