Also Klaus left to New Orleans in season 4 tvd and Haley was already pregnant but the whole Kai thing started in tvd season 6 so Liz and Jo cannot be older. Also when Klaus needed to put the Hollows inside him before killing himself, he needed them to do it and they were still a kids while Hope was already a teen (the originals season 5)

However siphoners have no power to lose so when they are turned, they retain their ability to siphon. Lizzie and Josie were both made siphoners specifically so that both of them could survive past 22 and so we wouldn't know who is going to be the heretic.

The same goes for Lizzie who was a witch and the daughter of a witch before becoming a vampire.
