Best edit so far! Quite clear, and the usual failure mode-shots in between are informal. Cuphead is just soo pleasing to watch. Lucky I don't have to suffer though that :D
Definitely the easiest one for me, but the autoparry completely screw me over, I keep hitting the wheels by accident and getting myself in wrong places, I prefer to control my parries on this one, it's so much easier for me. I used roundabout and chaser, all of the phases are extremely easy for me with this set (charm can be coffee or smoke), the chaser is definitely the best option for the last phase.
Agree, Roundabout is enough for the three first phases, then chaser is quite useful in the last phase in order to dodge the fireballs and not caring about leading your shots to the heart. I recommended using coffee as charm, you’ll have a super move available every phase practically.
I agree about controlling your parries. I actually hate the auto parry, cuz for some reason it always messes my rhythm, including in this stage. Used the roundabout and chaser for the final phase, and smoke bomb or twin heart, although it is way harder with the twin heart to get the s rank time limit. Your videos are so helpful tho. Thank a bunch.
During the third phase, if you have roundabout, you can aim your shots at them. For example, want to hit the enemy in the top left? Aim bottom right. Roundabout turns around n hits them
@@JustoAllDay As I said, it's my goal to be here within the first hour. And yeah! I found it to be the most entertaining level that didn't make me want to cry.
Here are some extra tips: 1) If you use the weapon from the dlc that shoots thre lightings you can use it to make phase so easy because all of the eyeblass that are being thrown at you get destroyed by just holding your shoot and your aim button. 2) Crack shot is useful for the final phase. 3) If you want to use your super in phase 2 safely as miss chalice, instead of launching yourself up by jumping, you should launch yourself up by parrying the things on the platform you are standing. The reason jumping doesn't get the job done is because you can get hit that way.
EXACTLY. I keep trying to atleast A rank it because I want to get an achievement. I get every bonus but the time. All I get is B+ rank because I always finish it A LOT over 2 minutes.
For the lightning guys, if you stand at the very edge of the screen, the lightning can’t hit you. Saves having to haul ass over to the other side running away from the lightning.
for those lighting rod things If you have the super art one you can hit both of them at the same time which makes this section a lot easier I usually use the super art on the first ghost so it allows me to save up for the second
Even after several week after the dlc, this is still my favorite boss/level in the enterity of the game -Music -Design -Mechanics -Diffikulty This tricky train just have everything to me
For the two lollipop things on the last second phase you can just stand on the far far left of the track and left of the rail you can just shoot them both easily.
I did roundabout, chaser and parry sugar. I used roundabout the entire fight and then at the end I used my super on the locomotive and then just used chaser and he died the second time I parried the tail. So far this is the only time ive seen chaser as the most effective weapon for a boss. And its for literally one phase and nothing else.
Great video as always. :) The biggest tip I can personally give to add to what you said is, in third phase, if the whatever-that-thing-is on your side starts its lightning attack, you don't need to go to the other side of the screen. You can just go behind it and it will never hit you. You can also lock your charater in place and shoot him while all that happens.
@@JustoAllDay I used Roundabout in my kill but now that you say it, I guess those could work better, yep. The way I did it is I went behind the first one and started shooting at an angle, then when it died I went all the way to the other side of the screen and stayed went behind the second one and just repeated the process.
2:15 it makes sense, since trains rely on their weight to get their speed since steel against steel produces almost zero friction, contrary to rubber against asfalt which is literally almost unmovable because of the amount of friction, so it's understandable he'd be way faster running
No one will probably see this, but the converge shot in the new dlc is literally the best for the first and second phase, it takes all the eyeballs in the first phase I also think ms chalice is helpful for her movement and parries My second shot is spread but I literally didn’t have to use it at all I recommend super 1 with me chalice cuz it shoots your beam upward which you have to do every phase besides the first
2:34 HAHAHA! I'm dead. Took me like 3 tries to realized what killed me. For the first part, if you want to make it even easier, just face the left wall the entire time and shoot with the roundabout. Let the pumpkins drop the soap, and right before it hits the right crank, jump to parry the left crank with P. Sugar. This will turn off both cranks for a second, completely foiling their attempt. It also avoids the risk of inadvertently hitting the right crank yourself and keeps you as far away from the eyeballs as possible.
I use the spread shot and the chaser. 1st phase, move to the front of the cart and use your spread shot and charge your invincibility super up and once it’s full, use it and jump off the cart and move in front of him and finish him off. 2nd phase is really based off luck. Use your spread shot and do your best to avoid his attacks. 3rd phase is really also based off of luck. Whichever head starts attacking, move to the opposite corner of where he is and do damage to the other head. Do the same for the other one and I also use automatic parry. Last phase equip your chaser and parry his tail and shoot the weak spot and watch out for the little bone boomerangs because those gave me trouble and just keep doing that and you should have him down lickity split
The secondary shot I bring instead of Spread is the Charge, solely for the final phase. With any other weapon besides the useless Chaser, most of your shots are prone to missing. But with the Charge, you just have to be precise when taking aim and inflict big damage one shot at a time!
When I was trying to beat this for the first time I didn’t lose a single life I got all the parrys and my super meter up and was on regular but I got an A- because I took too long to beat it
Fight me. You know phantom express has become too easy for with my loadout consisting of roundabout, chaser, super art 1 and auto parry it's a cake walk really.
I go with chaser, spread and P. Sugar in the third stage me and my brother would go to the right, stand in the corner, equip chaser and shoot them, we would take zero damage from them but the ghosts could screw us up if we weren’t expecting them
Im not s-ranking so maybe this would take too long, but at the lightning rodsi just stand in the corner and shoot the spread shot diagonally up, away from my corner. It damages the head youre under and kills all the ghosts in just the right spot so they dont parry your cart. The only problem like i said is that it takes longer because the head will sometimes be out of range while its dancing. When you kill 1 head, parry a ghost so you get all 3 parries and get the cart to the other side and repeat
Great guide. I'd recommend saving your Super for the twin heads. You can hit one with it and, after a few more hits, it will easily die, meaning you now only need to hit the other head. I'm not sure if you can hit both heads with the Super.
Not including the last 4 flying bosses - which I haven't done yet on expert level - this was by far the most annoying boss for me. I practiced it for like 2 hours spread over a few days and I still did not get him. I did get a S-rank on all the other non-flying bosses and Hildaberg. It is those annoying pumkings which drop bars of soap or whatever that get me and I actually am good at parrying.
Hi im totally not 2 years late, you are right the auto parry was a fucking life saver. Thanks mate, your cuphead videos have been hilarious and a huge help. 👏✨
Phantom express without the jack-o-lantern giving parry drops - easiest level ever Phantom express in simple mode - Ez Phantom express with the jack-o-lantern - 3-4th hardest lvl
I watched TH-cam videos like these that talk about how easy the game was. And I thought it was too in simple mode . But then I found out to beat the game you have to do it in regular mode and some of these bosses are the hardest thing on earth. I struggled a lot with the bee one and the dragon one. And all I have is cala Maria now and that’s fucking hard lol most of these don’t have the hardest phase in easy mode
My load out for this if anyone who has the dlc hasn't beat this in. My opinion cracks and the lightning bolts lightning just gets rid of all of the first guys projectiles and charm is coffee for more cards
The phantom express is always easy to beat for me. The problem I have is getting the time bonus, which keeps making me get a lower score. Is there anything else I should do for this?
I'm almost done s ranking every boss. I just need phantom express and the devil. But for God sake those fire balls are the most annoying little shits in the boss in my opinion
