I really love modular samplers like Squid Salmple and mixer/recorders like 1010 Music Bluebox that can mix and record modular and other synths quickly and easily in small package with touchscreen interface. Pamela New Workout is great I have two of them.
Budget a lot of cash as modular is way more expensive than you think to get a working setup. Easy to drop 10-20k fast. I like prebuilt systems like ALM Busy Circuits Super Coupe as they are well designed for beginners and advanced users for under 3k that come with case, power and the right balance of modules.
Indeed this is true … when I started my journey I stepped into my local synth shop (Patchwerks), with the intent of just looking around, and left with $700 worth of gear. What did I get…? A 104 hp MOOG skiff, an STO, an OPTOMIX, a 4MS power module, Pico Out, power brick, and a few cables … $700 😮
@@Derrick_Evans I did not use VCA or envelopes much until I began advanced patches and west coast synthesis uses things like low pass gates and modulation than tons of VCAs.
Great step brothers reference. This is a great guide, I will be using this for my starting point. Thanks for the tips.
You have some bad ass equipment!!! Great info!
Great video. Exactly what I've been looking for. Can't believe someone would thumbs down lol, what an idiot.

Yup, VCAs are nice but overrated.
Lol I wouldn’t say overrated but I do think the emphasis and blindly spitting out the saying is stupid.
