- Seriously, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE PLANNING!! Please, someone tell me it's not a new Journey into Imagination... I don't think my heart would be able to handle it. Someone get started on a PeopleMover film.

Seriously though: PeopleMover movie. Call me, Disney.
My father took me to Disney for the first time in 2021. He was very upset at the state of the imagination pavilion. He spent to whole ride home explaining how glorious it was when he was a kid. Unfortunately, he passed earlier this year.
With the new movie and the meet and greet, I’d be legitimately shocked if nothing big Figment related happens in Epcot, also I’m a person who grew up with the most recent version of Journey Into Imagination, so if it was remade into the old version, I’m curious what I’d think of it
I miss the original. I want them to bring back Dreamfinder and restore the full track.

The caption on that TikTok ends with “we can’t wait for you to see what he dreams up next” so this HAS to be something. If it’s nothing Disney parks socials is horrible at their jobs
Your passion for the PeopleMover and wanting it to return to Disneyland is endearing. I think I was a little kid when the PeopleMover as still around and went on it only time. Would be nice to experience it again as an adult and truly appreciate it.

Meeting figment in person was a full on spiritual experience. I was super close to crying tbh. But seriously tho if they re-vamp the ride that would make this the best year of my life honestly.

I would love it if they brought figment to Disneyland, just putting it out there, there is a unused theater in Tomorrowland they could do something with, I’m thinking something like it’s tough to be a bug but just centered around figment and an updated dream finder
For a Journey into Imagination update: What about a virtual omnimover dark ride? There's tons of nostalgia for old original rides like Horizons, World of Motion, and even Universe of Energy not to mention rides from other parks like If You Had Wings, Adventure Through Inner Space, and, of course, the original Journey into Imagination. Using projection technology like that used in Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway you create a virtual omnimover that replicates the experience of those former rides. Pushing the idea even further, simulate a ride on the Disneyland Peoplemover circa 1969 complete with views of the Mary Blair murals, guests in period clothes, and the original Rocket Jets. I'm sure Disney has the audio tracks from those rides in their vaults. The visuals could be created with CGI processing of historic photographs and videos. Maybe not quite as good as the originals but the nostalgia factor would compensate. Better to ride a simulated re-creation of Journey Through Inner Space than to always wonder what the ride was like. Changing the ride seasonally would maintain interest similar to how Star Tours is always different. Finally, Figment would remain the host of the attraction and introduce you to each ride.
Why have I only just realized that costume characters would be a dream job for a furry? They certainly would be the be really good at it since their ability to emote in a costume is ridiculously good some times.
A peoplemover movie idea is so abstract and sounds exactly like something Disney should do to get back to basics

I love this channel not just bc I love Disney and Theme Parks. But I just relate to Dallin’s humor and video style so much to the point that a classmate in college who also loved theme parks called me out for having the same vibe as Offhand Disney in a video I made for class
Are you going to talk about the possibility of a Figment ride at Disneyland's Tomorrowland? That could go in Launch Bay pretty easy now that we know that Avatar is going to DCA. Also there is the space where the motor boats were. That could be something, like an outdoor future ride.
I remembered hearing somewhere that Tony Baxter would only come back to Disney if they were gonna do something with Journey into Imagination. So, maybe well see a remastered version of the original by Original Designer (If he's involved). Exciting times for retro Disney Fans. The Adventureland Treehouse, return of the Swiskapolka, and now this!
If they are revamping the ride 🤞, lets hope they bring back the old track layout.
