The Morgantown High School Red & Blue Marching Band (83rd Macy's Parade, 2009) and the West Virginia University Mountaineer Marching Band (90th Macy's Parade, 2016), both from Morgantown, WV; the MHS Band playing "Country Roads" marching into Herald Square, and the WVU Band playing "Country Roads" marching out of Herald Square. A special "shout-out" to the small group of students who performed with MHS in 2009 and again with WVU in 2016, marching and playing "Country Roads" into and out of Herald Square. Marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a once in a life-time dream for most band members. To do it twice...
The arrangement of "Country Roads" that both bands played was written by Dr. James Miltenberger, long-time music professor at WVU, and...grandfather of one of the marchers.
