Fabulous tutorial! Thank you! Just what I needed to see as I'm a florist and I'm moving back into doing fabulous faux on my own homemade twig wreaths. Also I was contemplating buying a glue skillet but I'm opting into using my glue gun after seeing your tutorial. Your time and talents are very much appreciated ❤️🙏👌
Love this wreath! I want to say thank you for these videos they have been VERY helpful for me to learn and start my new journey with a small business just recently your an inspiration!😊
I thought he’s mouth might sound similar to mine too, nothing like familiarity from auntie. Still doesn’t appear to have found Aimee, despite the extensive research on Shakespeare and American history. Maybe it was the old ‘I’m every woman’ on the face app.
The kit has been sold out for awhile now. But all the tools I use are still linked in the description. To get to the description, just click the 3 dots where it says more… under the video. You may have to do that twice to expand to the full description. Hope that helps!
Beautiful!! I'm making grapevine wreaths for Mother's Day for the first time... do I need to put anything in the back of the wreath so it will not scratch the walls or door when they hang it up???
That’s great! That’s really up to you if you want to add something to the back. I trim up my grapevines so that any pieces that look like they may scratch a wall or door are cut off. My front door and walls still look good. As long as the wreath isn’t moving around a lot and rubbing on the wall or door it should be fine. If the door gets slammed a lot, maybe adding something to the back would help.
Whenever I have a kit available, it will be linked in the description of the video. The kit for this wreath is sold out, unfortunately. But I have some new kits planned that will be coming soon! You can also go to my Etsy shop and go to the section “wreath kits” and whatever kits I have available will be listed there
Hope nobody minds, but I'm going to tell a story here. To help everyone stay safe. I hope, dear Jenny, that you don't mind, if I take your life as an example. I'll call you Janny for the example. Here goes. Janny has a lovely outing with her family. It is spring, the sun is out and this is finally the day to kick of your shoes. A few weeks later Janny comes down with a weird sort of flu, but it passes relatively quickly, so she thinks nothing further of it. Years go by and all of a sudden she develops returning headaches. She blames it on being too busy with her business. When the headaches aggravate, she quits doing the VIP group. She notices her legs get tired from climbing a few stairs, so she scolds herself and takes up walking the stairs 10 times extra a day in her daily routine to build up some muscle. Two weeks later she finds there's no improvement. She loves to go on shopping tours with her teen daughter, but somehow just cannot muster up the strength. Well, it is time to teach her to learn to shop herself anyway, so she gives her money for clothing and drivers her daughter with her best friend to the shopping center, where she just sits at a cafeteria. She buys food, so she doesn't have to cook, for my, it was quite a day. Meanwhile, Janny hasn't noticed yet, that she's down to 70% of her normal work load. She starts to need naps in the middle of the day. In the morning she plans to do something in the afternoon, but instead she goes to bed for hours and feels tired afterwards still. Well, of course, she reasons, it's not normal to go to sleep during the day. I really ought to do less on a screen before bedtime. Janny has given up the new routine of taking the stairs 10 times a day extra. Somehow it didn't bring anything. A friend invites her for a party. She loves to go, but darn, those blasted headaches have ruined things before and now she's in bed again. Some day Janny concludes, that she must be truly overworked. She talks with her husband about their finances. They are doing fine, she can take some 'leave' from her Etsy shop. So she puts it on the vacation mode. The two weeks lengthen into two months. When she starts again, she can't enjoy it as much as before. Probably because her arms feel heavy and she has some stupid ache in her left elbow. Come to think of it, her knees aren't too well either. Then all of a sudden Janny gets big, large discolorations on her legs, soon on her arms as well. She goes to her general physician, but he doesn't know what it is and sends her to a dermatologist. It takes three weeks and by now the discolorations lengthened into patches of up to 8 inches long and she has some on her torso as well, ten in total. The dermatologists takes a biopsy and draws some blood and asks if she's been bitten by a tick. "No," Janny replies. A few week later, back at the dermatologist's, he says "Yes!" Your blood proves it. You have late stage Lyme Disease, for which these skin patches are a very specific symptom. He prescribes her an antibiotic and in a few months Janny thinks she's cured. After half a year even the patches disappear. But then, slowly, but surely, she gets a lot of vague symptoms. The headaches start again. This time they make her extremely ill. She's bedridden for two days at least. The children have to tiptoe around her. She has orders from her Etsy shop, that she has to send delayed over and over again. One scheduled tutorial after another gets cancelled, until she decides to stop with those altogether. For a year symptoms add and she thinks she might be in for a very early menopause? The headaches get worse still and they intensify in number. She feels exhausted, her knees and elbow start to ache again. Sometimes she gets shooting pains through her limbs. Then all of a sudden each step she takes feels like someone drives a knife in that foot! Good thing, that she taught her children to take care of themselves and to cook. For she has been ill with some infection, is ill with it or will be so shortly. She gains quite some weight and quits watching in the mirror. Her hormones seem to be all over the place. She cannot fall asleep, or she cannot keep sleeping. Several muscles start to move and vibrate all on their own and Janny can't stop it. What she can stop is her Etsy shop. She has enough materials to make 50 more wreaths, but loses her inspiration and will. She sells it all with a loss to the first person, coming to get it. The room is converted to a tv room for her teens and their friends. Janny got some of those skin spots again, was denied antibiotics, fought for half a year to get them, but they didn't work as well. She found a doctor far away, willing to treat her for chronic Lyme Disease, but with dwindling incomes and rising costs, the treatment is very expensive. And all out of her own pocket, for this is not a 'recognized' disease. She spends her time at home, watching something on tv or TH-cam. Interacting on the internet to not feel so lonely. For she's become very sensitive to light and sound. Which basically means, she has to sit in the dark half of the time and those nice sunny days are her worst days. Even birthday parties at friends are too loud for her. She stopped going. She couldn't throw her own parties anymore. Over time Janny loses one 'friend' after another. She tries to stay positive, but gets overwhelmed sometimes with all she's lost. With her income totally gone, they have to economize where ever they can. She is able to cook twice a month tops and always something very simple. Hanging up decorations for seasons is just too much. She tries to get into the Christmas spirit, but this year she arranged for her family to be somewhere else, so she can crash. During the weeks of writing cards, she was ill for two whole weeks. Again. Same as last year. Then she just wrote a short message to her oldest friends on social media. Several replied. Some not even. It's been ten years now. Janny has gained 75 pounds of weight, can walk a few hundred yards at the most, has lost two organs by now, can't ever receive visitors. She has two worn pants, but can't muster up the strength to go to the shop, where they sell her size. So she wears them with holes in the wrong places. She gets ill from taking a shower, so she just washes her hair at the sink. But her backache and neckache hinder her often, so she keeps her hair real short. EVERYONE: TAKE CARE YOU DON'T GET BITTEN BY A TICK! Janny never noticed the tick that bit her under her foot, that nice day in spring so many years ago. She's been abandoned by her health, her family, her church, her friends, her doctors. She lives as a shadow of a shadow of the person she once was. She was always ready to help someone else, but now she finds she has to pay for all sorts of help herself. Paying for a health insurance, that doesn't cover this. Janny has less energy and health, than her neighbors in their late 80s and early 90s. She sometimes gets jealous, when she sees them leaving for something. Janny has about 5% energy of what would be normal. She's happy when she can fold some laundry, after it was washed way too late. Janny doesn't live anymore. She just exists. Lyme Disease doesn't kill you. It just takes your life. TAKE CARE EVERYONE. Janny's story happens with some variations to millions of people around the globe. Don't let it be you or your loved ones!
So glad you liked the tutorial! Once I get all the kits out, I’ll see if I may missed some supplies and if I have enough to make any more, or see what I can reorder. I would love to make more if I’m able to, but I’m certain I will be able to.
Hi Cheryl! Thank you! I typically put a jute loop on the back for my customers. But for this kind of wreath it hangs really well straight from the grapevine.
Do you take precautions when using lambs ear...there seems to be alot of dust on them and can cause coughing..I think I am going to wear a mask from now on but wanted your opinion as I know you use lambs ear a lot
Jenny, all your wreaths are stunning!!!! Question: is there a difference in glue quality, i.e. do some stick better or last longer than others? I'm in Florida where it can really get hot and humid and wondering if I should be using a higher grade quality glue. I don't want my customers to call to tell me flowers and greens have slid off. Its Feb and already in the 90's. YIKES! Also do you ever use a hot glue bowl and a glue gun or just a glue gun? 'Thanks !
Thanks Marilyn! Yes, the glue I use (linked in the description by “TOOLS”) does well in extreme weather conditions. I switched to it after using a cheaper glue that DID melt a little in high heat. I haven’t had problems since using what I currently do. I do have a glue put (there’s a video here on TH-cam with me using it. A Christmas hoop wreath) but I usually just use it when I use floral foam. I prefer using a glue gun.
Jenny, I saw that your wreath kits where sold out. So, I went to Hobby Lobby & Michael's I got mostly everything but, Sedum. Could you tell me what I could use in it's place.. I would greatly appreciate it.
Hobby lobby does have a sedum spray that looks like a dark berry cluster. That would give a different look but would be really pretty and bring out the dark middle of the anemone. Or I bet there are some succulents that would look good there and match the coloring
Hello! I always have the kits linked in the description of the videos that offer them. However, the kit for this wreath is sold out. Also, due to the incredibly high shipping costs and import fees to ship to Canada, I don’t ship there. So sorry!
This wreath is stunning! All the flowers are Spring or early Summer bloomers. All except for Sedum, which is an Autumn flower. The Sedum confuses the Seasonal aspect of Spring!
I include that info in some of my tutorials here on TH-cam! But for a lot of wreaths, like this one, is can really vary depending on where you shop, and what kinds of sales you get. Since a lot of this is wholesale, my cost is probably a lot lower than the average wreath maker. I did offer a kit with this wreath, but that is sold out now.
So glad you loved the tutorial! Yes, all the kits sold out much faster than I expected! I’m hoping to have even more available next time! I’ll also try and order more supplies so I can hopefully restock this kit

No, I can’t for this exact wreath anymore. I no longer have most of the supplies, and some of them are discontinued from my wholesaler.
How much is the Kit ?
It’s sold out now.
What size is this wreath?
I believe the finished diameter was about 20”. It was made on a 14” grapevine.’
♥️
Are you ever concerned you may not be adding enough glue? I tend to over glue it.
Not really. If I see it doesn’t make good contact with the grapevine, I’ll add a little extra, but I usually don’t need to do that.
I love how you don't have a add a bow....to make it beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
