Gillies with Hats: Wolfstone live in Pitlochry, 4 September 2011

This is arguably the best known tune in any Wolfstone performance, and for anyone struggling to 'visualise' what gillies look like let me demonstrate ;) Not sure why Stevie looks like a firefighter on annual leave though, and the Cosker Boy like he's escaped a local circus show. Red noses, anyone?

Such a wonderful performance. Hats or no hats, their passion is unmistakable. RIP Gordon Duncan. This is perhaps the most moving folk tune of all time . . .plus the second part is wonderful to dance with while the soul stirs. Thank you.
